The cops parked their rig on the street in front of the Donut Man but its length blocked King's drive. When I hit the horn to alert them that I was attempting to leave a guy (cop ?) approached me arguing they have horses in the trailer and that fact gives them the right to stop there or something just as incomprehensible. I quickly explained they were blocking the entrance to a commercial business and no amount of horses will excuse suck conduct. When the guy continued to argue with me I finally ask did you guys become entitled pricks after becoming cops or did you bring that offensive personality to the job. Plenty of people in the line, but staff was friendly, met the mayor who was so gracious, and the building itself was easy to navigate. Its great to see the city hosting wonderful events like this. I have noticed an influx in parking tickets in the area. Specifically on our side of the town, the parking enforcement officer goes ahead of the street sweeper and cites people like crazy. The previous officer was less vigilante about it as he would drive behind the street sweeper, which at times allowed for someone to race out in the event they forgot to move car. He seemed to have more empathy for the working families in the city. New parking enforcement officers seems to have a quota he needs to meet. Had a neighbor cited for expired tags, even tho vehicle was inside their property, which I learned ticket person could not do! Another neighbor for being too far away on the curb. Be aware of the guy.

If you ask them to provide you with anything even a business card, the wait is 1hr+, they'll ask everyone one by one in the office, if they can give a business card until they finally sit down and grab the card and yap with each other. Only then will they come back to the window to give it to you after 1hr passes, that must be their quota to make the 8 hours go by. If you need a property receipt ask the Sargent he will make the officer write one out because the officers don't want to give you accurate information. If you need a letter stating why the police can't give you a report and the officers say no, ask for the Sargent and he will make them do it. They have to be told by their Sargent before they can do their jobs, like babies. Don't let them turn you away, know your rights!!

There is not much room in our parking lot, but we also don't want our parents getting tickets for simply trying to pick up their children.
