The owner was extremely pleasant and the service was great! Both my dinner partner, and myself enjoyed every bite of our food. Prices were lower than at other restaurants. I highly recommend LOS Antojitos! Their other location across the bridge has lovely tequilas and other assorted adult beverages! You will not be disappointed!

Tried this new OBX Mexican place for supper tonight, and a few things stand out in my memory: The staff was outstanding - my server was friendly, helpful, and genuinely wanted me to have the best experience possible. The horchata was deliciously flavored and came in a huge mug - oh so refreshing on this crazy-hot day! My enchilada was a bit above average for "Carolina-Mex" restaurants. The esquite, basically street corn in a bowl, ate like a rich chowder, with more liquid than I expected; it was satisfying and I'd get it again. I wondered about the Toreado Jalapeño and was told it was hot. "Gringo hot?" I asked. "No, more like Mexican hot." was the reply. I tried it and the description was apt - my mouth was on fire but it was a good fire, pungently flavored and just shy of pain.

Small, cozy little place tucked in a shopping center. We love our Mexican food and couldn't wait to try this new place. Delicious, home cooked food brought out hot and fresh! Beans and rice was on point. Birria was so tender! My husband said the shrimp tacos were yummy. There's a lot on the menu that you don't see at the other places down here. We will be back!!

Seems like a new establishment. We decided to go here for dinner given the low reviews of other nearby Mexican restaurants. Very clean and kind staff. The prices were very reasonable and the portion sizes very generous. The aguas frescas were delicious! I would come back to try more food items.

We came just before the snowstorm. The food was very delicious. We started out with guacamole and chips. We had the chori steak and elote, which came with handmade tortillas. We also had the Carne Asada dinner, fried whole fish dinner, and carnitas dinner. All the dinners came with beans and rice. And freshly made tortillas. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was comfortable. The restaurant is rather small. We also had a tamale, which was so delicious we ordered 6 more togo. The hot sauces on the table were very good (great flavors, not a lot of heat). We will have to order some online. The green habenero was my favorite.

Driving into the OBX on Sunday evening, we wanted Mexican and found Los Antojitos Nag's Head celebrating their grand opening. Small, bright, and clean, with typical Mexican restaurant style and fare. We enjoyed the elote in a cup (esquite?). The nachos, and rice & beans were pretty standard fare. The birria tacos were tasty and the dipping concomme was very good flavor. The chicken tamal was also good flavor, and the masa was moist, not too overcooked, so yay! We didn't have enough room for dessert, but will happily return again for more menu options.

Coca Cola from Mexico. No artificial ingredients like the United States.

Yum! I ordered the Carnitas dinner and it was awesome. The pork fell apart! The guacamole was delicious. Would definitely go again.

I went in to get the reservation (expecting a long wait due to the crowd) she told me it was an hour and a half. We were totally fine with that, they have a great area to wait in the rear with corn hole, chairs, and a bar. But she made sure to tell me several times about the wait and asked me multiple times if I really wanted to wait that long. It felt like I was being pushed into not dining there. The wait ended up being a little over an hour. We got seated outside and it was beautiful and not too hot. Now let's get to the food. Our group ordered the buffalo shrimp as an appetizer and it was phenomenal!! We got the crab cake dinner, crab cakes sandwiches, and fish and chips for the entrees. They were all delicious as well. Our waitress was super nice to us and made sure we had a great time. So to end it, the food, waitress, and building/grounds was excellent and highly recommend (5/5 stars). The angry hostess that seemed like she didn't want anyone dining there because the wait time somehow bothered her, would not recommend (0/5 stars).

The menu has a good amount of variety and everything was fresh and prepared just as we ordered. Our server Morgan was very friendly and took great care of us. The shrimp and scallops are locally sourced. A little less butter and the dish would have been better. The special blackberry bourbon bread pudding with vanilla ice cream was killer. So delicious. My wife and I brought family from Europe thinking that we would have delicious NC seafood. Instead we had food that was only ok in taste and portions that were laughable. When the server handed my wife a 1/4 glass of wine, I laughed out loud. My $32 dollar dish looked like an appetizer and was less filling. We were 4 pretty small adults who all left hungry after spending more than $125 for our meal. The food was not the only issue. The place feels more like a cafeteria. The service was also terrible. Our waiter had a pretty nasty attitude and either was having a bad day or just hated his job. My advice? Go for the view. Standing outside during sundown was spectacular. Then get in your car and eat somewhere else.

I guess the Rockfish tacos were a daily special, so I ordered the "World Famous" Mahi tacos while Ms T ordered a crabcake sandwich. I think we were both a little disappointed. Her sandwich was definitely for bun lovers. She tore off enough bread for another sandwich and still had plenty. Restaurants are often guilty of conflating a huge bun with good sandwich. She was not particularly impressed with the crab cake, saying it was overloaded with thyme. I ordered my Mahi "blackened" and it really was not. The seasonings were good although also heavy with thyme. The flour tortillas were of poor quality, very thin and leathery and not provided hot. Hence the tacos were room temperature when eaten. I liked the finely shredded cheese that was not served refrigerator cold. The white sauce they serve is just wrong for these tacos. It is too sweet, too tart, making it harsh. Instead, I used the sauce that came with her crab cake and that was much better. Finally the mahi was very dry. I guess that is kind of the way that mahi is, but this really needed plenty of sauce. Kudos to them for serving good jasmine rice. This was not as good as we remembered. It is OK, not great and could be improved with just a few changes. We should have tried the burgers.
