This place is doing it right, but has some odd quirks. Let's talk about the right part first. Subs are legit. Be it a proper Italian style one, or a great Philly Steak with CHEESE WIZ. I am positive anything on their sub menu would be quite tasty. They are fairly priced, and ready quickly. But, the quirks. They have prepared trays in the cooler of things like lasagna or eggplant parmigiana ready to take home and eat. You can even get a quart of gravy and a box of pasta. Unfortunately this is sort of mentioned in passing on the web site, with no details. In reality its a subset of the "catering" menu. We had to show up to understand the offering. They were also large, designed to feed a group. They really need to hi light this option on the web site better, with some pricing and pictures. I think it would be much more popular. Drink selection is small from a cooler of bottles. If they really want to push the sub business a fountain is probably a requirement. And finally. No meatball sub? That's almost criminal! However, what we did have was so good it's still a 5-star place. read more

I found this place when looking for a new spot to try. I had the Lobster & shrimp ravioli and a glass of red wine, which was a lovely dinner, I decided to try the cannoli for dessert which was so tasty! "Fast, convenient, good takeout Italian sandwiches, entrees, and more" Punchline-- pass on the sandwiches (tasty but not big) and go for the entrees (giant and similarly priced) We ordered some takeout from this place based on positive Yelp reviews. Fortunately, Yelp came through for us! Note, although some things mention that you can eat in, at the time of this review, there were no visible tables inside-- it seemed to be a takeout only operation. Also, some of the online menus are now wrong-- they list all the meals and sandwiches as coming with a drink included, but they do not do so any longer. We opted for sandwiches and dishes, but they do have some desserts too-- we didn't partake this time. Service: very friendly, both when ordering and during pickup. They also warned us as we ordered about the menu/ drink change mentioned above, which helped prevent any unpleasant surprises. Food: Two of us got sandwiches and two got meals. Mozzarella caprese & Italian cheesesteak sandwiches -- both very good. Each came with a side of chips. But my family members who got these finished their food for dinner and found themselves still hungry. Note, these sandwiches cost $14. Lasagna & eggplant parmigiana -- These came with garden salads (though you could opt for bread for the eggplant parm). GIANT. It was a vat of food. I will say that a lot of the weight was the delicious tomato sauce, so there's a reason to consider getting bread. But even still-- I didn't finish my meal, nor did the other person who ordered one. These cost $16-17. Quite a contrast to the folks who ordered the sandwiches. Synopsis: Go for the entrees. WAY better value. And worth hitting up this place more generally for takeout if you want a break from seafood. read more

This spot was fantastico! The service was awesome and friend. The food was great and came in good time. We had the chicken parm and shrimp fra diavolo. Came through around 3ish on a Friday. Only one other table taken. Place was very small with only about 5-7 tables. Very clean and simple. Everyone was extremely friendly and stopped by multiple times to check on us. The Italian sandwich was delicious..bread was light and crispy and the meat was plentiful. The ceaser salad was excellent as well. The shrimp pasta was big enough for two people and also came with about a dozen rather large shrimp. Truth be told I have never eaten a meal at this restaurant. Why, you ask, would I review a restaurant (giving a poor review) when I've never eaten there? Let's talk about that. I have tried to eat here not once but twice. First time at about 5:30 on a Friday evening. They advertised that they were open until 7:00. That was quite disappointing but in spite of that I decided to try again earlier the next day. Again they were closed. Nice sub shop by a first generation italian. Meat quality is good and your sub will be packed with it, definitely a filling sub. The sun isn't extremely big but it's super dense so eating an entire sub was very filling. I ordered the sweet salami and it was good but I would definitely try something else the next time but I didn't enjoy it enough to really want to go back. read more

We have been there numerous times and keep forgetting to do my review. As soon as you walk in the door ..... the smell of REAL Italian food just takes over. We have gotten lunch and dinner and they are equally incredible. I highly recommend the chicken parm but know that one order will feed two people. The owner is about the nicest you will ever meet and you can tell takes pride in his food. This is a take out establishment you can get it fresh cooked and they also have meals to take home and cook. I got a Club sandwich. Lots of meats inside. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because the prosciutto was in big pieces that made my sandwich fall apart when I ate it. Saw this on Yelp and had to give it a go! I got the meatball sub (special), the roast pork italiano, and the italian hoagie. I would estimate the subs are about 9-10 inches long. The roast pork italiano was PURE HEAVEN. I would absolutely recommend this sub if you haven't tried it before. It was excellent! The long hots (peppers) on the sub were spicy but not too spicy. The meatball hoagie was divine and my boyfriend loved his Italian hoagie. The bread and meats were super fresh and very delicious! I think market might be a bit of a stretch (I pictured aisles of Italian goods which they don't have a large variety of) but they definitely are an excellent take-out option with some Italian desserts, bottles of wine, and homemade side dishes. It's All Gravy is a cozy Italian restaurant in Nags Head. The two of us were seated on a Friday night around 5:45 pm. This was one of the finest Italian meals we've ever had! The bruschetta was tasty and perfect. The entree amazing - I had chicken parmesan which was prepared in a way that was incredibly delicious. My husband had shrimp and broccoli on penne. The light sauces were incredible. We're from New Jersey so we've done delicious Italian food (which abounds in the Garden State) but the meal at It's All Gravy tops them all. Today I had my first experience with Its All Gravy. We were excited because of the greats reviews, my guess is that they do a much a better catering service. First off, I think there were 3 employees working and at least 2 weren't wearing masks. To be clear, the cashier and server weren't wearing masks. We ordered the meatball and Italian subs. At $13-14 each I'd say their very overpriced, also they include drinks with subs, if you don't want the drink you're paying for it anyways. Why on earth I'm obligated to pay for a can of soda and chips is mind boggling. They serve sesame seed buns for Italian style subs which honestly I'd never seen it before. The subs were mediocre at best and the buns were less than satisfying. For the money you're better off going to subway, you'd probably more satisfied I hope to give them a better review post covid on their catering. For now they're no better than 2 stars for their subs. read more

Located where the old Waveriders coffee shop used to be is this Italian-oriented market. I gave the Italian Hoagie a try. It's decent: quality bread and ingredients. Though not as life changing as sandwiches I've nommed elsewhere, it is probably the best sandwich on the outer banks. I will definitely be back to try more food before I leave.
