Average hole in the wall for authentic Del Rio Mexican food. A bit of a wait as the staff as well as the dining area is not very large, but the service was friendly despite having to ask for refills. Bathroom is claustrophobic but not terrible. Parking lot is full of pot holes and there are various accessories decorating the doors of the connected apartments including a caged possum! Neature! On our last morning in Del Rio after 3-days on the Devil's River we stopped in before heading back to Katy. Three of us had three different versions of the chilaquiles and the fourth had the pork chops and 3-eggs. All were fresh, delicious and more than we could eat. Wish I could have given this place a good review. The service was friendly but super slow. We were the second table to get up and walk out before we got our food, and also the second table to ask for chips and salsa, be told yes, and then they never came. There were many people in there, and one guy was watching a movie on his phone, but I guess he thought the whole restaurant needed to hear it. Nobody asked him to turn it down. A bad experience. My parents had dined here before and didn't have the best experience, we gave them the benefit of the doubt and gave them a second chance. We should have known from the moment we walked in our experience here wasn't going to be great. The heavy set man, I'm assuming the manager, didn't seem too thrilled to have to seat us. For a small hole in the wall type restaurant, you'd expect better hospitality. We ordered 2 coffees and a juice, after finding out the waitress couldn't find any creamer. After a few minutes, she returns from the kitchen and brings back powdered creamer. We decided at the point we would go eat at another restaurant. We got up, paid $6.50 for the untouched coffees and juice. The manager never asked if there was an issue and why we were leaving. I mean, we were in there for less than 10 minutes. Maybe service is better for the locals, definitely not recommend and won't be returning. read more

Cute little place with festive and colorful atmosphere and good food for a great price and generous portions. The salsa in particular is some of the best I've had; they really blended all the flavors together perfectly. Service is fast and friendly and I can confidently say we'll be back regularly. I had the beef enchilada plate which came with 4 enchiladas, rice, refried beans, guacamole, chopped onions and chopped tomatoes. The enchiladas were very good, as were the rice and beans.
