Visiting Los Cabos for the first time was amazing walked in and was seated right away, even though the place was packed as soon as we sat down and gentleman was there to service asking us what we would like to drink we ordered the flights. As soon as our drinks came, we already knew what we wanted to eat. We got the Hawaiian a Pollo, a chicken bacon pineapple Mexican cuisine that was out of this world. Traveling to Washington Mo on a regular basis and tried out this Mexican restaurant on a recommendation. Good location with a typical open almost cafeteria style decor with the Hispanic influence. A bit noisy but in line with general expectations. Salsa was pretty bland so asked for some spicy. Had some heat no depth but mixing them together made and OK salsa. Had the Chili Colorado, it was a good dish but again no real spice, in fact it was almost sweet. Enjoyed it as something different but would not reorder. My traveling companion enjoyed his dinner but agreed on the salsa. Service was pretty bad. After being sit and getting our drinks another waiter took over, taking our orders, seemed a bit disinterested. Went down hill from there, he never came back to the table until it was time to give us the bill. Lots of people working but they stayed up front talking and ignored us. We were at the back but someone should have come around. I got my own drink refills, fountain in a cubicle behind us, and we sat there quite awhile waiting for our check. Just as I was standing up to go get someone our guy came out, friendly now but it was too late. Maybe generous with a three star but after getting a recommendation and seeing how many people were in there just figure or experience was an exception. First time at Los Cabos. We both had enchiladas. My wife had the spinach enchiladas, which had a Maria sauce with rice and a dollop of guacamole and pico. My girlfriend introduced me to this restaurant this evening. We ordered dinner after a long day of work. I decided on my order based on the description and ingredients. I picked up my order and went home. I sat down with my food and found that it was loaded with onions and tomatoes. Those ingredients were not listed in the description of the dish. I called and asked why my burrito was full of onions and tomatoes. I was told "that's how we make it." I said that the menu made no mention of those ingredients being in what I ordered. I was then told that "they are in big chunks" like I'm supposed to pick them out of my food. I was not offered a remake or a refund. If I'm paying $10 for a single burrito, I should have some say in what goes in it. Good job los cabos. What a waste of money. read more

Wow! We found this place on yelp, and were very impressed! We were greeted immediately as we entered & were seated right away (on a Saturday night!) I've been to this location about a dozen times and also to the location in New Melle five times or so, and every visit has been a good experience. The staff at both locations have always been really attentive, even during busier times. The food is in the decent to above average range, which is just about right for the prices they charge. I stick mainly to the chicken section of the menu, and the Pollo Adobado is one of my old standbys. Oh, and they have TVs too, so you won't miss the game. Unless the game you want to watch is on at the same time as a soccer match. Then you're just SOL, gringo. read more

For the second year in a row an event brought me to Washington close to Cinco De Mayo. Both times I ate at Los Cabos. This year it was actually on Saturday, Cinco De Mayo. The place was packed, of course. That is usually not the best time to go anywhere. But here it was awesome. After a short wait to seat our party of 15+ people, we had the Margarita with Grand Marnier. I forget the name, but a fishbowl of that is the way to go and all you will need for the evening. ; ) They had karaoke and dj tunes... heck... peeps were dancing. I love it! The free stuff was good, too... A nice salsa and chips that were not greasy. My dinner was some kind of chicken and chorizo and cheese concoction. That Margarita did a number on me. Seems to be our new Mexican go to for Washington. It is basically like most of these chains but with a little personalized twist. They have the traditional fajitas, enchiladas, burritos, etc. the dish I found as my diamond in the rough was the Enchiladas Marisco... Three enchiladas filled with grilled shrimp, tilapia fillet and shellfish covered with cheese sauce. Served with rice and guacamole salad. Loved that dish. read more

This is a great little Mexican restaurant in a small town. My coworker and I stopped in for lunch. I got the Carne Asada Burrito, he got the El Dorado burrito. The Carne Asada was great tasting, but there wasn't a huge amount of meat in my burrito. His burrito was STUFFED with chicken, but he said the chicken was a bit bland. We went there on a Friday evening at 6:45pm and there was no wait, they were not busy. Even though they have a bar, they do not have a bartender and the wait staff just take turns making drinks for their tables. We sat at the bar for a while before we figured it out. Finally, a waiter greeted us, served us a couple beers, then took our order and never returned. The food was served by kitchen staff and is mediocre mexican fare you can get anywhere. My burrito's were cold when they arrived. We ate, finished our beers completely, then sat there trying to get the attention of our waiter for the check. Eventually, I had to meet him at the wait station where he was entering an order to get our check. This was our 2nd trip to Los Cabos since moving to this area, it is likely our last. read more
