The images of delicious food can be deceiving. The food is a solid 3; the rating is due to the following; the cheesy greasy watered down cheese was terrible. Why so watery who knows. The tlacoyos were simply ok, nothing to brag home about. Needed some extra cheese and maybe some white Mexican cream. They were brought out cold. The gorditas were pretty good. Crunchy crust , really well cooked chicken and a lot more food than the picture on the menu. The tacos were pretty good. I do like and appreciate the home made taco to me this is probably what gave the food the extra star. The meat was cooked really well with hot flavor. The salsas are very unique and spicy. Our waitress, oh boy she was right in the middle. It was her first day working there, we had to ask her for every little thing such as forks, knife, napkins. Can we please have more water as you seen the empty cups on the table. Room for improvement there for sure. And the ambiance was last cause literally was so damn hot inside, they had a fan on and the door wide open . The fan was conveniently just for 3 tables there and only one for a two room style restaurant. The bathroom was actually pretty one and a single stall. Also most importantly, regardless of how horrible the food to include the cheese, don't know how it's so nasty or how terrible the service is be ready the have the TIP included in your final bill...

I honestly didn't know what to expect when my husband, friend, and I went here. My husband has been missing Socal Mexican food and my friend found this place. Now its not Socal Mexican food, but the food was still pretty great. Definitely looked like locals eat here.. fairly large space for this restaurant- the setup was kind of weird and they has telemundo playing.. but thats ok.. felt authentic haha. I've never heard or seen huaraches, but thank goodness there was a picture menu because that looked really good! I ordered the one with carne asada and bacon.. it was AMAZING. My husband had their beef burrito and it was massive. He really liked the burrito and we definitely left with full bellies. It's not socal Mexican food but it's still damn good. We'll be back here for sure!

This is the 3rd Location of Los Carboncitos in town that we have been to. This recent visit was on Sunday August 3rd 2014. After running some errands, Hubs and I decide to head to this establishment for a Late Lunch, EARLY Dinner. Time was about 16:30hrs. Man, when we came at that hour, this place is indeed jam packed. We managed to find seats all the way back on the Right Wing of this establishment. Once seated, we realized, there are The Menu is ALREADY "lay" on the Table itself. I feel a little odd about this, but just go with the flow. From the Menu, I opt for the following items : * 1 Taco Tripa ($2.00) * 1 Taco Lengua ($2.00) * 1 Taco Cabeza ($1.50) While Hubs opt to have the following items : * 4 Tacos Bistec ($6.00) * 1 Burrito Bistec Smothered ($6.75) * 1 Mexican Soda ($2.50) The lovely staff brought out the Complimentary Chips and Salsa while we wait for our order to be ready. Hubs like the Salsa, and Hubs said, it tasted "home-made"... Once the Complimentary Chips were gone, the Staff comes back with another Plate of Complimentary Chips. Man, those Chips are indeed addictive perhaps so, we were hungry. Our order was sent to our table after like a few minutes of waiting about 16:50hrs ish. The Taco meat though plenty, its doable. I am OK with everything I had. The Tripa is crunchy. Err, I cannot differentiate between Lengua and Cabeza for this time around, coz both meats looks the same but have different flavors and its definitely tender. Hubs once again like all the 4 salsa variety that this establishment did offer. The Burrito Bistec comes with Rice and Beans in it, which Hubs like it a lot. All in all 3.5 stars for this establishment and we don't mind returning when needed. Call ahead in case they close early during their operation hours. It seems that during Thursdays thru Saturdays this establishment offer LATE EATS till 1 am or so. SCORE!! Left this establishment at 17:10hrs. Many more patrons came by be it while we were there and when we left. The opening hours for Los Carboncitos (Aurora Location) is as following : * Sunday - Wednesday : 9am to 11:00pm * Thursday - Saturday : 9am to 1:30am Los Carboncitos (AURORA Location) 15210 E 6th Ave, Unit 6 & 7 Aurora, CO 80011 Tel : (303)-364-2606 http://www.loscarboncitos.com @153/2014

Wow not so great. I got the carne asada and it was really tough. Slow service even though it was only about 15% full. Very disappointing.

The street taco plate was delicious and you can't go wrong with the carnitas. The Burrito smothered in green chile was also fantastic and the pickled onions and queso Fresca elevated some different notes. Right now, the Venalonzo margarita is at the top of my list, only to be topped by the house margarita at El Camino in Missoula, Montana. Weird I know, but if you know, you know.

For two people, ordered a set of 3 tacos (2x barbacoa and carnitas) and then another 3 tacos (asada, carnitas, and pastor), birria egg rolls, and a bean, cheese, and rice burrito. Not a big deal but they put all the tacos in one box and I was able to differentiate which 3 tacos that I ordered. This place is super stingy with salsa. They gave me 2 tiny containers for salsa and then when I asked for a couple more, the lady said she could only give me two more. :( Excited to try the food and started off great with a simple bean, cheese, and rice burrito but outside of that everything else was very meh. Not sure how but all the meats were so dry, I ordered braised/slow cooked meats (barbacoa and carnitas). Asada and pastor were okay as well. Everything lacked seasoning and the salsa didn't add much to the tacos either. Birria tacos were also dry and consommé needed salt to be added. Value was not bad at $37.64. Tacos were about $3-3.20 per

I'm always searching for a place that offers breakfast burritos, green chili, and a broader meat option for breakfast. After my dual personalities finished their wrestling match over choosing the food available to prepare at home (btw Da Big Spenda won the match), I made my way to Tacos La Morenita. I walked into a dimly lit, clean, organized place with futbol on the tv, music playing, and staff gathered near the bar. I was greeted immediately and requested a menu since I couldn't quickly locate what I was looking for on the LED-lit menu on the wall above the register. On the menu, I saw the breakfast burrito allowed for non-traditional meat to be added to include chicken which always brightens my heart to see (Ms. Piggy shouldn't still dominate breakfast foods & we don't all consume beef regularly). I decided to order a breakfast burrito with asada beef (my arteries were craving excitement), green chili inside. The wait was around five minutes for a freshly prepared burrito with a side of salsa verde. When I returned home, I opened the burrito and took my first delicious bite. :O:O ... How delightful! The inside was nicely gooey with the green chili and cheese inside. The eggs were fresh and hot. The asada was chopped more finely than I'm used to in a breakfast burrito which was pleasantly surprising as they meshed very well with the shredded potatoes which are my Favorite style of potatoes in a breakfast burrito. Then...the Salsa Verde... Everyone around here does their version of this salsa. I'm rarely satisfied with it. Many are just a very liquid, not very flavorful, small to mid 'pica' in my existence. I was expecting the same here. I noted the difference in appearance and texture right away when opening the container. Yes, it's green. Yes, it's salsa but it had more substance than most I've encountered around Denver metro. More similar to restaurant style. The seeds were also more plentiful as if it was a freshly made batch. I drizzled a bit on a corner of the burrito and took a bite. :O:O:O...The dance of flavor on my tongue made my booty wiggle. This salsa is seriously a standout. It is milder but what it lacks in spice it makes up for in flavor. I mean, I would be interested in purchasing jars of this salsa just like I do from Yolanda's Tacos. As I stated, I'm sad I've waited so long, passing this place time and again, without trying it all these years. Now, that I know what it's been hiding, I will definitely visit again for the breakfast burritio but look forward to exploring the rest of the menu, as well.
