The food might be fine, but the pricing is deceptive. I ordered a torta listed at $15 on the menu and ended up being charged $18.90. That's almost $4 (a 26% markup!) just in taxes or hidden fees, which feels like a total rip-off. I won't be coming back due to the lack of transparency. read more

This spot is delicious! The fish tacos are fire. This is one of my spots for lunch and they never disappoin. My guys are big fans as well.

I've been to La Reyna a few times, and on the website/menu, my mouth was watering when I saw all of these pictures of what I now know, are called, 'Quesabirra's!' (Didn't know what they were til then, lol) That FIRST time, they were pretty great. This last visit, my 'Birra's', were a little soggy and not as fresh. Other than that, I really like the flavor of them! My son had the carne asada's and he said they were pretty bomb as well. read more

I stopped in for a quick take-out on my way back home from an appointment. It's bright, and very clean space. The person who helped me didn't speak English... I don't speak Spanish, and yet I felt more welcome here than in some places! Between the two of us -- me asking clumsily and he responding much better than I -- I took his advice and got a taco el pastor and a quesadilla. This is my favorite spot for gorditas. I truly miss this place now that I live in Boston, so when I fly back to the Denver area, I always make a point to stop here. The staff is super friendly, the food is great, the salsas are my favorite (should be bottled and sold). This is a family owned restaurant so they are very nice! The tacos were super good and the meat was flavored well. However, it was hard to get salsa or hot sauce. There is also no napkins or utensils out. The carne asada fries are very... Colorado. The salsa was really cold compared to the rest of the dish which was a little weird, and as a California, I wouldn't say these were the best carne asada fries. However the horchata is huge and it is delicious! We can't wait to go back and try the tortas :) read more

Online ordering system is not accurate. A friend ordered online and when I went to pick it up, they told me they didn't have several of the items that he had ordered. At the same time, my husband tried to place an order over the phone, which would be more accurate, but they didn't want to take the order over the phone and directed him to go online. Why would you want to go online if their information is not accurate. Because of all the awesome reviews, I really wanted to order something from here, so I decided to order the quesabirria tacos and the chicken taco. The quesabirria dip sauce was super bland, I had to add salt to it to get some flavor out of it. The chicken taco was super bland as well and I decided not to eat it anymore because there was no flavor on the chicken so either they have an off day today and whoever is making the food is not adding salt at all, or their food is just bland. I'm guessing most of these good reviews are for their breakfast items. Even though they have very good reviews online, when I went inside, on a Friday night, there was only two tables being used from like 20 tables so not sure if their reviews are updated. Finally decided to give this Mexican food truck by Walgreens a try! I ordered the La Chupito without ham. As the picture shows, its got a lot going on in it! It was very delicious and filling. Price was pretty good and it only took 6 minutes with 2 orders as it was freshly prepared. Definitely recommend to give them a try. My only suggestions to the owners if they read this is to have an English menu and/or add some pictures to the menu items. I honestly ordered a bit random due to uncertainty. Secondly the asada had quite a few bits of cartilage or something very hard that was unchewable, so better quality control on the meat cuts. Just tried this little Mexican hole in the wall where Asian restaurants were for many years. The FOOD was seriously ON POINT and tasty, tasty!! Get the Quesabirra tacos and the house made chips and salsa!! Nom Nom Nom Their portions of meats are generous and tasty and I love that they give you two squirt bottles of salsas!! One is a tasty, mild tomatillo and the other is tasteless HELL in a bottle. Talk about Hot & Spicy!! Yikes!! I will say that almost everything needed salt and they must've known this because every table had salt shakers but no pepper shakers. Hmmmmm The other complaint I'll make about the food is the fact that they did not provide enough cilantro and onions for the tacos. The over $5 chips and salsa combo was really delicious but crazy expensive!! Not happy about that since other restaurants give this for free. The last complaint I have is with the lack of cleanliness. The girl behind the counter with the foot-long fingernails couldn't be bothered with cleaning because of them, it seemed. I will never understand how any place of business serving food to the public do not keep their premises more sanitary! I love supporting small businesses as I own my own small business so I will encourage this place to step up their cleaning game. I'd kinda like to inspect the kitchen for cleanliness, but maybe not for fear of what I'd find....... Idk. I will come back in a couple weeks and post an updated review. read more

I've been a few times. I've gotten their 3 Quesabirrias And Consome paired with a Horchata, as well as the breakfast burrito. Generally speaking I've been happy with the food. I've had a lingering craving for their horchata since I've had it. The Quesabirrias were very good, tons of flavor. My biggest complaint was I wish I had another 1-2 in the meal. Breakfast burrito was really big, the chorizo was a little spicy. It left me satisfied, with enough food to have a full breakfast and a snack for later. The service has always been efficient. I haven't had any issues getting my food quickly. Nor have I had an issue with getting the right item. I've been happy with the service. Inside isn't anything special, it's somewhat of a cafeteria vibe. Several tables, a few booths. It's a pretty casual spot. When I've been there it's been pretty slow. So it's an easy place to hang out for a bit with a friend. All in all, a good spot for food, a 7/10 kind of spot. Maybe 2-3 bucks more than I would have expected. So a place I do return to when I'm craving a Quesabirria Taco, but not necessarily a frequent visit. read more

I've tried a million Mexican places since I moved to Colorado and so far, only one food truck in Brighton has impressed me...until now. I ordered the birria tacos and the churros. Hands down, best birria tacos and consomé I've had. Maybe I'm bougie, or maybe I'm spoiled after living in California and Arizona, often frequenting Mexico, but my standards are high. This place met my standards and then some. The crazy part is that I got take out! You know food is always better in the restaurant, so if my take out was that good, I can't wait to sit down and eat inside. Look for me there on Taco Tuesdays. Amazing tortas! I'm new to tortas and was blown away by how delicious they are. A million times better than an American sandwich. The meats are full of flavor and the bread is soft and fresh. We also got a couple tacos and the quesabirria tacos. Most of the tacos were good, except the carne asada one was a bit dry. Highly recommend!! Brand new Mexican Restaurant that specializes in Tortas, Street Tacos and big Burritos and more. They serve 9 different kinds of meats so there's a nice variety to choose from. The restaurant is super clean, staff was very friendly and happy to see us come in. My Husband and I both ordered the Carnitas Burrito which came with a large portion of carnitas, refried beans, rice, cilantro, tomatoes, onion and lettuce. They were HUGE! They also brought red and green salsas to the table. Prices were reasonable for how much we got. Can't wait to go back and try some of the other items on the menu. Wow, finally! I moved from California over 10 years ago and have managed to find some decent Mexican food here in Colorado. However, I've never come across anything I'd rate above 3.5 stars. (Sure, there are some good Mexican restaurants, but I'm specifically referring to the food itself.) This place offers a nice variety of options, and everything we tried was excellent! Our interactions were mainly with the person in charge at the front of the house--I'm assuming the owner. They were incredibly friendly, stopping by to ensure we were happy. I wouldn't exactly label it as a "hole in the wall," but it had a pleasant and somewhat authentic atmosphere. The mix of teenagers having a great time, people stopping by after work, and couples on dates created a fun and vibrant environment. I'm definitely planning on returning. read more
