Chicken in the middle; the other two are chorizo.

Great spot for late night munchies after a night of drinks. We got the chicken and chorizo pinchos. Each came with its own tasty, warm arepita. This is a no fuss place with tasty meats. Cash only!

Chuzos wisely when you order. The chorizo is heaven, as is mine.

There are the beggars and there are the Chuzos. If you're poor, you might still be able to afford some amazing late night snacks from this Jackson Heights hidden gem Colombian food heaven. If you're less poor, one of the "Chuzos" rather than the beggars, then you can really spoil yourself at LCYAM. It's probably one of the most underrated food and drink spots in all of New York City. It's that good. What to get: Chorizo is the star of the show, but the Guava drink (in juice, not milk) and other drinks are authentic and great, and the Chuzos, basically kebabs, are excellent too. What else: If you have a big Chuzo, call me. Jackson Heights is one of the wildest places in North America. There are drugs being dealt openly, restaurants from every corner of the world block after block, one of the biggest concentrations of Indians and Pakistanis and Colombians and Latinos in general anywhere in USA, hookers lining the streets (most of them have boy parts, don't ask me how I know), and plenty of violence, fist fights, stabbings and shootings. It's also my favourite neighbourhood in the USA. Go figure. All along Roosevelt Avenue you will see this craziness after the sun goes down, most nights of the week but especially Fri and Sat, continuing until 3 or 4am, if not longer. Los Chuzos feeds all of the heathens and insomniacs, party animals and drag queens, drug dealers and taxi drivers, and mostly, the Colombians and wannabe Colombians (like me). Colombian food is heaven, and nothing moreso than the juicy, enormous, incredible sausage sold here as "Chorizo", and the yummy steak kebabs called "Chuzos." You must really try one of each and discover what heaven is. To wash them down, get the authentic Colombian juice drinks (Jugos), any tropical fruit flavour you can imagine, although my fave is the Guava. Lovely service from both the guy and the girl. Inside it's very claustrophobic and full of drunk people and Latino people (not that the two are mutually exclusive). You won't be able to breathe, but you'll be sustained by the smell of those Chuzos and Chorizos grilling, and then as it drips all over your skimpy clothes (if you dress like me) you'll wish that you had been born and raised in Medellin or Bogota or Barranquilla or Cali... and I'm not talking about California. James Rodriguez himself would fall in love with this place. So would Shakira and Carlos Valderrama. So should you. Undiscovered heaven. Get over to Jackson Heights and feast. Remember, Colombian food didn't Chuzos... we chose Colombian food.

    Chuzo de cerdo (raw)

Decided to give this place a try after the so many good reviews and I was disappointed. At first I didn't think much of the raw piece at the bottom, but after biting into another raw piece I had to stop & throw it out. I get that their busy but they should pay more attention to how well their meat is cooked.

Arepa de chocolo, chuzo de pollo, colombiana soda

I make the drive from Long Island just to get chuzos and arepa de chocolo con quesito here (chicken skewer and yellow corn cake with cheese) . Plus theres an array of natural fruit juices to choose from that are fresh and never disappoint. *when busy could be slightly annoying due to tight space; cash only, atm next door at deli

    Huge and well-lit sign

!!!Review base on service!!!! Be aware workers charge more to keep the money for their own tips. Ask before ordering how much is everything.

There's nothing like some late night grilled meat from these people. Wow. It doesn't get more tantalizing than this.

Latino Bites is a small, no-frills Colombian eatery that's got a straight-forward menu, good service and AMAZING food. I've only had Colombian food a few times and I was happy to try something new - the menu has photos and descriptions for all different options. My friend'a husband is Colombian so she was very familiar with the menu. The Colombian burgers looked out of this world - also they are huge. BOMBASTIC I would say. But we both went with an Arepa each - I had the Chicken Arepa and my friend had the Chorizo Arepa. So so so good!! When the arepa first comes out, it looks small but once you start eating it, you realize the amount of chicken and the sauces on the arepa makes it very substantial and filling. Served with a little bit of salsa and a little lettuce on the side, it was very satisfying. They also have some juices, sodas, and other food options like tacos, pizza and of course, as mentioned, the burgers! Since I tried to "be good," it will have to possibly be a next-time treat! 9/10 spot; so good that they even have a good truck across the street.

Colombian arepas (or at least the ones here) come with a sweet, corn tortilla and are more open faced: to be eaten with a fork. In the past, I've had flour tortillas that are designed more like a taco and eaten as a handheld. So despite the differences, I (and my friends) enjoyed our meal. Let the official record state, I ordered the arepas con queso with chorizo. We had plans to eat our way through Jackson Heights, but because a couple of the places we planned to visit were closed, we actually just mostly hung out here and enjoyed our arepas of the sweet and open-faced variety. It was a good afternoon.

Before this, if someone mentioned arepas, I probably would have confused them with pupusas, which I'd only seen at street fairs and thought of as more of a sweet item. I had no idea they came in savory versions too. I went with the carne asada arepa, and the beef was fresh, juicy, and cooked just right. It's so common for places to overcook little chunks of beef, but here it was perfect. Each arepa is big enough to split between two people, so the price feels very fair. The filling was generous, with beef packed inside and even overflowing out the sides. They also serve the arepas with a rack of five or six sauces to choose from. Some were spicy, and one had a sweet condensed milk flavor if you like a mix of sweet and savory. My go to ended up being this green mayonnaise sauce which I assumed was like some sort of a lime mayo, which added the perfect tartiness to the rich cheese filling.
