This was an amazing place!! I came here with my family and everyone was delighted. The woman who attended to us was a sweetheart and very patient as we had placed a big order. The jugo de maracuya en leche tasted so close to the one I had in Medellin. The chuzo was perfect, the arepa I wasn't a big fan of but that's more of how I have a personal preference for a crisper arepa. There's options for pork or chicken chuzos, I tried both and the pork definitely won. I will say we got very lucky because we got here early so there wasn't anyone eating at the bar area, so the 4 of us managed to get seats. There is also another standing area but it's not very big. I wouldn't expect to always get lucky with getting seats so be prepared to stand and eat, it's worth it though! This place is also CASH ONLY, there is a Citi Bank nearby if you need cash. This spot has been here for decades it is small and a bit noisy since it is right under the train 7 line . Parking is a bit difficult, but I will always buy their fruit salad!! Colombian style, I love it!! They top it with a nice light cream, coconut, and granola. I love to pair sweet with salty and usually buy shishkabob or cheese rings. There are the beggars and there are the Chuzos. If you're poor, you might still be able to afford some amazing late night snacks from this Jackson Heights hidden gem Colombian food heaven. If you're less poor, one of the "Chuzos" rather than the beggars, then you can really spoil yourself at LCYAM. It's probably one of the most underrated food and drink spots in all of New York City. It's that good. What to get: Chorizo is the star of the show, but the Guava drink (in juice, not milk) and other drinks are authentic and great, and the Chuzos, basically kebabs, are excellent too. What else: If you have a big Chuzo, call me. Jackson Heights is one of the wildest places in North America. There are drugs being dealt openly, restaurants from every corner of the world block after block, one of the biggest concentrations of Indians and Pakistanis and Colombians and Latinos in general anywhere in USA, hookers lining the streets (most of them have boy parts, don't ask me how I know), and plenty of violence, fist fights, stabbings and shootings. It's also my favourite neighbourhood in the USA. Go figure. All along Roosevelt Avenue you will see this craziness after the sun goes down, most nights of the week but especially Fri and Sat, continuing until 3 or 4am, if not longer. Los Chuzos feeds all of the heathens and insomniacs, party animals and drag queens, drug dealers and taxi drivers, and mostly, the Colombians and wannabe Colombians (like me). Colombian food is heaven, and nothing moreso than the juicy, enormous, incredible sausage sold here as "Chorizo", and the yummy steak kebabs called "Chuzos." You must really try one of each and discover what heaven is. To wash them down, get the authentic Colombian juice drinks (Jugos), any tropical fruit flavour you can imagine, although my fave is the Guava. Lovely service from both the guy and the girl. Inside it's very claustrophobic and full of drunk people and Latino people (not that the two are mutually exclusive). You won't be able to breathe, but you'll be sustained by the smell of those Chuzos and Chorizos grilling, and then as it drips all over your skimpy clothes (if you dress like me) you'll wish that you had been born and raised in Medellin or Bogota or Barranquilla or Cali... and I'm not talking about California. James Rodriguez himself would fall in love with this place. So would Shakira and Carlos Valderrama. So should you. Undiscovered heaven. Get over to Jackson Heights and feast. Remember, Colombian food didn't Chuzos... we chose Colombian food. read more

At first I didn't think much of the raw piece at the bottom, but after biting into another raw piece I had to stop & throw it out. I get that their busy but they should pay more attention to how well their meat is cooked. read more

I love los chuzos!!! Sometimes when it's late night and you get that I can eat something but not a full meal this is the place! It's a take out place since there's no place to sit. They have yummy pork and chicken chuzos with pink sauce and mini arepitas! Their arepa de chocolo with tons of cheese also hold a special place dear to my heart. The chorizos are also really good but.... heartburn so I play it safe w the kebabs. If you can live that dangerous life then also recommend the chorizo. It was like a typical late night in Medellin, Colombia, where outside clubs and bars, street vendors sell all kind of "chuzos" (literally "skewers") or what others will call "kebab". Only it is in Queens, New York and at one in the morning, the place is packed with a lot of people, not necessarily club-goers. As the scent of grilled meat wafted in the air, we ordered the chuzos de pollo and chuzos de salchicha, which are served with arepas (cornmeal patty). The chuzos de pollo (skewered chicken or chicken kebab) were tender and one can tell that it made good time in the marinade and that the marinade had some cumin in it. :) The chuzos de salchicha (sausage) had a bit of a hot and spicy taste that was perfect for that late night food craving. The cheesy, salty and sweet arepas con queso proved to be my favorite. :) Its combination of sweetness, saltiness and creaminess is irresistible. Los Chuzos de Algo Mas (literally skewers and more) also offers fresh fruit juices and smoothies as well as some dessert items. I made a mental note of that but there is a bigger probability that next time, we'll try the chuzos de res (beef kebab). read more

This was one of the stops on a yelper's UYE Taco Crawl. We had already stopped at all the taco trucks near the 74th St station and we were wandering aimlessly down the street when we spotted this place. A true gem. They serve arepas, but not what you think. They serve chuzos, which are basically kebabs that come with a toasted arepa. I shared a chuzo with a friend and although I normally don't like meat, this place made a mean kebab. The meat was tasty, moist and grilled perfectly. It's hard to beat a quick chorizo skewer with a few pads of arepa for $3.50. If you've only had mexican chorizo, this stuff is milder and you can more easily eat an entire sausage of it. If you had two skewers, it'd probably suffice as dinner. read more

They didn't have anything that tickled my fancy. So I ask for a Dominican drink in a Colombian establishment lol...MORIR SONANDO! Well. Fresh squeeze orange juice with some pulp...grains of sugar that aren't completely melted...condensed milk...=DOPETATIOUS!!!! Holy smoke. Just knowing that the juice was fresh made my day. I love shish kabobs! I can eat them all day! (I really can though) they are $3.00 for one. It's a little pricy but that's life! They are so good. You can order them through the window, and be on your way with meat on a stick. I usually go to Astoria for souvlaki but the Colombian version of a shish kabob works!
