I highly recommend the food at this restaurant. My husband ordered 2 sopas with chicken. We both tried huaraches with chicken. I ordered a chicken quesadilla. The portions are huge. We have lots of leftovers for tomorrow. The food was prepared quickly. The staff are so friendly. The only reason I didn't give this place 5 stars is because it is in a scary neighborhood at night. The green hot sauce is spicy but the red one kicked out butts. I'm a fan of spicy but next time we will order only mild sauce. read more

This food truck located in a low income neighborhood. They have an empty lot with food truck and the seating area. The circular driveway make it easy for access to the corner lot. There are plenty of space for parking. This food truck carry variety of menu. They have taco, burrito, tostada, Gorda, cheviche and more. It is typical street food from Mexico. I got five different tacos. I have steak, pastor, barbacoa, trips and buche de Pork. I like the most is barbacoa. It has the most marinated beef taste. All five tacos were big compared to many place. It is worth the money. For single person just 4 tacos is more than enough. The wait is about 10 minutes while they cook your food. They close at 10 pm which make it perfect for the night time snack. They seating area is big enough to host 4o people. They even has TV for entertainment while you eat there. read more

Reminded me of Chicago tacos and that's almost impossible to come across in Florida (Tampa). In my opinion these are authentic tacos from Mexico. The variety is great as well on the menu. I ordered the al pastor tacos with the horchata and I was scrapping the plate wanting more. I came here on Tuesday at around 9pm and it had a good flow of people coming in, our large group only added to it! It's outside but there's a covering to sit under with tables. You go up and order and they bring you your food. The man and woman working there were really nice and since I knew Spanish I could easily talk to them. I definitely recommend the tacos Al Pastor (it's seasoned pork) they were amazing and very authentic and the Agua de Horchata was the sweetest I've ever had but it was delicious and compliments the tacos well! I'm transported to Mexico instantly. They have authentic music playing. It's all outdoors. Pretty much a food truck that offer tables to eat your food right then and there. It's in a shady part of town and it has a cover so it helps with heat and rain god forbid there is any. I recommend coming to this spot for some great authentic Mexican street food. We had the tacos, quesadilla and burrito. My favorite were those tacos!!! I want more!! The onions they used on these dishes are fantastically made. To preface this I'm on the quest for Tampa's best taco and Los Comales really stepped up to the plate here. I was impressed! A friend and I tried the steak and al pastor original tacos and there was a clear winner. While the steak taco had a hearty portion the steak fell flat and was dry. It came with a spicy pepper and onions but not even the salsa could fix it. Now the al pastor taco had juicy pork chucks and the perfect blend of spices. Their corn tortillas also added a layer of delicious since they were grilled to add more flavor. I think if the steak had not been dry I would have added another star. I'll come back to try the rest of their menu for sure though! read more

This experience was such a let down. To start, we ordered from here about a week ago and while many ingredients were missing that were promised in the items description, we thought the quality was okay enough to give them another chance. Boy, were we wrong in doing so. We ordered the same items as we did the first time for this experience, he had a steak burrito and I had a steak taco and a tostada. I found upon receiving our order last night that it appeared that they were on the last of their food as the quality was less than what we hoped for. To start, last time he was missing ingredients like avocado, sour cream, and salsa that were listed in the description of the burrito. This time, I added extra and paid for it to ensure he would get it, and while we received no salsa or sour cream that was paid for, he did get about .5oz of guac for $.50 charged (with $1 lost on sauces forgotten). The verde sauce that was included as a requested hot sauce was weak, watered down, and had little to no flavor. The red sauce was okay and brought enough heat to get the job done for me. His burrito this time featured bottom of the bin steak (as he put it), lots of inedible, low quality pieces that had to be spit out from every single bite. When he was done, it looked like half the burrito had to be spit out from low quality meat. My taco was okay, wasn't anything special. The avocado I received was also the .5oz wholly guacamole that tasted weird. The tostada was really hard and overcooked and heavily lacked toppings. While my last tostada experience was better with hefty toppings and real avocado, I found tiny worm like pieces of wholly guacamole on my tostada, some cabbage (they used lettuce last time), and hardly any meat or beans. By the time I was halfway through, I was basically just eating an old and overcooked tostada shell. We made a mistake by giving this place another chance as they ruined any hoped I had that they'd be our new Mexican place. Overall, the search will continue as this place was heavily lacking in every way. Giving two star to justify the subpar but not horrible experience that we had the first time, otherwise this experience would have been one star. read more

My favorite place to get tacos from! They're usually pretty good. I usually get the carne asada and carnitas and both are very flavorful. The reason I say usually is because depending on who's cooking the flavor is a bit lacking. I once got the shrimp tacos and was disappointed. They were these teeny tiny shrimp that looks like they came from a bag frozen. Would have preferred them to be bigger. My fiance gets the chorizo and he loves it. Not too spicy. The price is good. The customer service is ok. The young girls that are there don't really talk or smile or anything. They look like they're bored or something. Others are very friendly. The food may be good, but the customer service is super poor.... had been going there frequently and then when we went there yesterday, we were told to wait because they were not open yet. Waited patiently and then another customer arrived and she was also told to wait. Meanwhile one of the ladies is still setting up, and begins to turn on the stovetop. The young girl is setting tables up and not saying a word to anyone, but a random guy walks up to the window and places his order gets his food and leaves, and the girl never once said hey they were here first, or please wait in line. When I said something, we did not even get an apology. Only that he had a small order. And how would you know my order wasn't small when you didn't even take my order in the first place? I tried very calmly to explain this to them both in Spanish and they looked at me like they didn't understand me at all and said, oh well I'll have to let my boss know.... VERY BAD EXPERIENCE and I speak Spanish and it was still horrible..... never going there again! read more
