    Carne Asada Taco and Chicharron
    Jessica B.

I came and had there Carne asada tacos, Carnitas tacos and chicken empanadas. I absolutely loved the chicken empanadas! There Carne asada and carnitas was marinated nicely but the meat was so over cooked it was crunchy. I was really disappointed because the taste was great but the meat was over done and hurt the roof of my mouth to eat. Price was awesome! 4 tacos and a empanada for $10 oh and a drink. Definitely coming back and will try different meats and hope they won't be dry and hard.

We had a carne asada gordita & a bunch of tacos (al pastor, asada, carnitas & pollo). I ate half the gordita before I got to some meat, but the deep fried corn tortilla shell was delicious. As for the meats, al pastor, asada & pollo (our favorite) were very good! The carnitas were ok. The corn tortillas they used for the tacos are awesome because they're thicker than other taquerias. They only used one corn tortilla for each taco & all of them stayed together & did not fall apart like most corn tortillas do (even when other places use 2 shells!). This taqueria is 30mins from our house, but we would def go here again.

This is an amazing Mexican food truck. Their location is just at the corner of Mango Rd and MLK. I ordered three tacos for $1.25 and they were simply delicious. They have a brief menu but it runs the gamut: asada, pastor, tripa, carnitas, cueritos, chorizo, cabeza, barbacoa, lengua and pollo. These meats can be ordered as a taco ($1.25), torta ($5), burrito ($4) or a quesadilla. On Saturday and Sunday, they serve menudo for $7 and I bet it's good! I will be back to try more from their menu and I hope you'll give them a try too!

    Asada torta. I crushed it..

Been here several times now. I usually get the torta. The food has always been fresh. Portions decent. Prices? awesome. Service is pretty basic, they're working hard to make food, not really hanging around to talk you up or be your friend. Salsa's good. If I drive by here.. I'll go here. That's pretty much the rating..

We were a little hungry and saw this unassuming taco joint and decided to give it a try. The verdict is that we loved the 3 different tacos we tried and will definitely come back. The horchata was pretty good also

I've lived in taco-obsessed Austin and Houston before, this place definitely keeps up. Super legit tacos at mom-and-pop setting (and price).

Very good. I really don't care if a taco is "authentically Mexican" or not. Just if it's good. These are good.

I work in Plant City and decided to try this place with my husband. The food was good and the…read moreservice was mediocre, but what happened at the end completely ruined the entire experience. My husband asked for some cilantro. Our server brought out a small container of it (see picture) and never said a word about there being a charge. When the bill came, we noticed we were charged $0.99 for it. Let me be clear: I do NOT care about the $0.99. What I care about is basic honesty and transparency. If you're going to charge customers for something, tell them ahead of time. When Lupe (who was not even our server) came to grab our credit card, I politely asked about it. Instead of simply acknowledging that it should have been mentioned, she immediately became argumentative and said there's a charge for everything. That completely missed the point. I repeated that my issue is not the charge -- it's the fact that nobody told us beforehand. She continued arguing with me, insisting that it didn't come with my original plate so there's a charge. AGAIN, that is not the point. The point is no one told us there would be a charge until the bill showed up. What should have been a simple "I'm sorry, we should have mentioned that" turned into an unnecessary argument with a rude employee who clearly didn't care about the customer experience. It's not about $0.99. It's about terrible communication and even worse customer service. That interaction completely ruined the meal for us. Horrible way to treat customers. We will NOT be coming back and I definitely do NOT recommend this place.

I got the Camarones Con Rajas Y Crema and my husband ordered the Carnitas Dinner. His pork was not shredded, rather it was chunks of not great meat. Definitely not what he expected and certainly a letdown. My dish was decent, yet the sauce wasn't really noticeable. I did appreciate all the additional little shrimp hidden like treasure throughout my rice. The shrimp on their own, however, weren't all that flavorful. On a positive note, I was thrilled that our server automatically brought 2 separate salsa bowls for our chips. Sometimes I'm not very good at sharing. Service could have been a bit warmer, though. A smile here and there goes a long way. The interior is festive with vibrant colors and artwork. The women's bathroom is spacious and charming. We got lucky and were able to park right out front on a rainy night. Being located in a strip mall, the lot was pretty full. Wasn't impressed with the food, so unlikely to return.

The feeling from outside screams Mexico, so we thought we hit the jackpot (not so) the locals seem to enjoy this restaurant. But what I learned is small towns that finally get something new is what they consider to be good. Our waiter Manuel wanted us to probably order more than just our entrees. Our drink selection wasn't appealing as well 3 waters and 1 corona. But we didn't come in for drinks especially since we just left a kids party and had a few drinks there. The children had the cheese quesadilla with fries, they weren't impressed. My wife ordered the carnitas and it was okay and for me the Jalisco Special. Presentation of my wife and I dishes were good but the lack of seasoning is where restaurants are falling short of. What I'm learning is the lack of seasoning is being replaced with sauces. No matter how bland your meat choices are they encourage you to try it with the sauce. This place seems as it use to be Jalisco restaurant but revamped into Plaza Mexico restaurant. The locals may keep it a float but time will tell if this place will last. Hopefully management can fix the lack of seasoning as this is a Presentation of Mexico and are well know for flavorful dishes not dishes with sauces. I know I won't be back but this small town needs true identities of culture dishes.

We did not know that walking in. They all looked at us like what are you doing here? My husband even said is this a restaurant? So we asked for a menu - which is a QR code. Yes- they have food. We decided to sit at the bar and at least have a drink. It was early so no a lot of people. Everyone seemed confused as to how things worked. Most employees spoke Spanish and we do not. A bartender did speak English. He asked what we wanted and took our drink order. He was nice. We did end up getting food. Chips and salsa=$10! Other items were priced fairly. We asked for water and he claimed they only had bottles of still water=$4.50. But we saw someone else get a glass with ice/water at another table. Also be warned there is a "service fee" of 15% (for what I have no idea) and if you use a credit card 3% card fee. We searched on line to see what people said about this place and some other reviews on Google said they charge $10 to get in although we were not charged anything to come in. In the end the food was pretty good. Bottom line- this is a nightclub with an identity problem as they are trying to serve food as well and it just does not have a restaurant or bar&grill feel to it. We won't be back as not our scene, but also wish them well with the clients they really are trying to attract.

It was open for business, but there was only one other group of two in there with us-and only one server-who was also the bartender. It was a little odd. I'm sure this place is popping at night. Our server (who was chatty at the end-businesslike before) told us there's karaoke on Friday nights and a DJ on Saturdays. I'll definitely bring the friends back for that. The drink menu is large-it would be a fun night spot. I'm just not sure I'd come back for a weekday lunch. That's not the food's fault, though. I had chicken enchiladas verde (very nice) with some of the best Mexican rice I've ever had. The margarita was also good. You can tell this restaurant has been around awhile-there are echoes of genres past, with different decor still lingering (the lighting, for example). But I love the murals outside, the bar surrounds, the signage by the stage area and the other Mexican touches. I also really like the vintage windows-it's a nice nod to the past. And it's spotless in here-so clean-with lots of tables. I also thought the prices were fair. I hope they thrive!
