Simply The BEST Mexican I have ate in a long time! While driving around looking for lunch options, the big now open sign caught our eye! It was an off time, after lunch time but before dinner & we were the only one in there. Huge area, very bright & so clean! We were greeted, sat & brought chips/salsa right away. The salsa was a good indicator of how the rest of the food would be. Full of flavor, fresh & delicious! Barbacoa Nachos - absolutely loaded, the meat was tender, fell apart & I could have picked the plate! ??? - I really wish I remembered the name of my meal, because it was just as delicious!! Chicken, steak, shrimp on a bed of rice with cheese sauce & peppers. There was so much, I took it ho.e for another 2 meals! I really wanted to like this place but unfortunately it was just okay. Nothing special or different. We ordered the fajita nachos and the chile rellenos. The chile rellenos were greasy and it didn't even come with tortillas. The nachos were bland and a little too salty. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was good. read more

We stumbled on this place and loved our experience! It was super quiet for a Sunday night, but they had a ton of seating and a beautiful ambiance with the colorful decor and bar area. The interior has a few changes differing slightly from Bravos the previous restaurant. Mostly different decorations and possibly different colors here and there. It is a nicely done modern decor and comfortable. A wide variety of Mexican food options listed on house printed menus. Some of the prices written in by hand. They have only been open three weeks. I imagine that they are still trying to figure out their final menu offerings and tweaking pricing accordingly. The manager on duty said the restaurant is family owned and operated and not associated with any of the Oklahoma Mexican restaurant cartels. This is their only restaurant. The prices are fair and the plates are large. Good salsa picante! My wife and I had lunch combo meals. 1 choice $7.99, 2-$9.49 and three items $10,99. She had a cheese filled relleno with a shredded beef filled enchilada. I had a ground beef enchilada with a ground beef filled relleno. Excellent seasoned beef. Large poblanos battered and fried. Both meals were filling and delicious. I believe this restaurant has potential to do very well. They have the basics, good food. A couple of things that can use improvement are the chips and the service. Nobody likes getting a basket full of chip crumbs, similar to a bowl of corn flakes. They are useless for scooping salsa and make the customer wonder just how many time the basket of chips has been recycled. When they turn to crumbs DUMP THEM. The service could have been a little faster and more attentive. The receipt said Martin. He seemed to be a little preoccupied with other things forgetting about the customers. A girl came out from the kitchen and took a seat at the bar. She kept his attention until I flagged him to bring the check. Minor details that make a difference, especially when you are trying to impress first time customers. Food is good. Service is fair. I hope they do well. This is just an okay Mexican restaurant. I got the chorizo tacos (on flour tortillas) with street corn and refried beans. While the quality of the tortilla and chorizo was decent, the seasoning was not so great. The tacos had way too much salt on it, making them not as enjoyable. Additionally, the street corn tasted like only salt. It had so much salt on it, I couldn't even taste the natural flavors of the corn. The refried beans were decent and had an appropriate amount of seasoning on it. I also really enjoyed the chips and salsa at this restaurant. As for service, it was good, as it didn't take too long for my food to come out. While the quality of the food and service was decent, this restaurant really needs to focus on getting the seasoning right for their food because currently, it really made the food not as enjoyable. read more

We've been here twice after 9 pm. Quiet, quick and very good. Prices are in line with others these days. $11-25 per person, a little high, but portions are good. Worth it! We will return. read more

None of the four entrees our family ordered were very good. Each one was covered with the same orange sauce that tasted vaguely of watered down tomatoes and the shredded chicken was literally too salty to eat. The vibe is definitely that everything is just getting defrosted in the back. We ran out of drinks and chips while our server and the rest of the wait staff cut up with each other at the bar. We were up charged on two entrees without notice and one of children's entrees never came. Very disappointing experience. read more

We love this location and the feel of this restaurant building, so when we saw that it was now Los Cuates Cantina & Grill, we were hopeful it would be good. I was, indeed, very good! There are very many styles of Mexican food, and most people are familiar with Tex Mex variations. We like all styles! This is more New Mexico fare and we enjoyed it! I was particularly pleased with the tamales because it is so very difficult to find good ones at a restaurant. What I really dislike is masa that is so thick it practically gags you. THESE TAMALES HAVE A WONDERFUL THIN MASA that allows the flavor of the filling to actually be enjoyed!!! All of the meal was good. The service was friendly and good. The order was correctly delivered in very reasonable time, and the wait staff were attentive but not intrusive. We have a rotation of Mexican Food restaurants we enjoy and frequent.
