I really enjoy seafood. In fact, every time I see food, I eat it! Thank you. I'll be here all week…read more Seriously though, I do enjoy a good seafood restaurant. And I was pleasantly surprised when I found this place in El Paso, Texas. For starters, you sort of have to navigate your way around a second parking lot to get to it, but it is worth the adventure. Walking through the door. Door. They have a very nicely kept greeting station with a bar off to the left. So I made my way to the bar for a drink before dinner After my drink I went and got seated waited for the rest of my party. Looked over the menu and asked for suggestions. The chef's specials are always on point I was told so I opted for the blackened red snapper etouffee. Wow, what an amazing dish! And the presentation was off the hook. The spices were on point. Everything was cooked to perfection and it was just a very good dinner experience. Service was a little slow, I think that they weren't prepared for a party of 20 even though we had a reservation. Had it not been for the very slow service I probably would have given them five stars. But hey it's a improvement point. Bottom line? If you are in El Paso and you are looking for a nice upscale seafood place that has a casual feel, you could definitely check this place out.!

Restaurant was comfortably busy, clean and well staffed. Our server was excellent I'm sorry I cannot recall his name at this time, but he was amazing! I went out of my box and ordered a peach old-fashioned. It was delicious a few sips I did have (husband finished the rest). We ordered appetizer which was the alligator nuggets delicious! Hubs had the fish n' chips but really enjoyed the onions strings. I had the almond crusted mahi-mahi. Delicious!! If we're ever back in town, we will stop by again.

We accidentally found El Barco Marinero after attending an event nearby. My daughter was hungry, so we looked around for somewhere she could get carne asada and decided to give this place a try after seeing the great reviews. I'm so glad we did! It's a huge restaurant and you can tell it's family-owned and run. There were family and kids in the corner doing homework on their computers, which I thought was so sweet. Before we even ordered, they brought us complimentary ceviche with chips AND soup. Both were delicious and tasted incredibly fresh. I ordered the Baja fish tacos and my daughter got the carne asada tacos. The portions were VERY generous, especially for the prices. The fish tacos were fresh, crispy and loaded, but the carne asada really surprised me. It was tender, flavorful and honestly some of the best carne asada I've had. The service was also wonderful. I was already pretty full, so they happily boxed everything up for us to take home. I was genuinely surprised to see the restaurant so quiet on a Sunday because the food, portions, prices and service were all excellent. Definitely one of those tucked-away El Paso restaurants I'm really happy we stumbled across. We'll be back! El Barco Marinero 1212 N Yarbrough Dr Ste 307 El Paso, TX 79925

They are so delicious, it is probably my favorite part! As an appetizer we always get the elote botanero, they are always a hit! We've tried a lot of items from the menu such as the arrachera, the chile relleno, costillas Palenque, Pollo Chipotle. Literally EVERYTHING has been so amazing. The service is always great, from the hostess to our servers and even the managers who always seem to be out on the floor making sure everything runs smoothly. I love the atmosphere. It feels so elegant, as if you are in a very high-end restaurant. However, the prices are very accessible. We've gone on several occasions like Valentines week, Mother's Day Week, and they always have amazing decorations, perfect for pictures! Palenque will always be a restaurant I recommend! Definitely try it if you haven't already!

For sure order the queso fundido as an appetizer - it is cheesy goodness! Sangria and margaritas were balanced and refreshing. Main dishes were filling, and the grilled vegetables that accompanied most plates were spectacular. This is a large space, yet seating is cozy and it is easy to hear the other people at your table. Service is attentive and helpful.
