El TIO JUAN SPECIAL, beef steak, shrimp, vegetables with cheese in hot stone bowl. Rice, beans and a hot tortilla included.

No choices restaurant in Lebanon in Sunday. It's for family restaurant but no kids when I had a dinner. El TIO JUAN SPECIAL is tasty and margarita is good and affordable price.

I love Los Mariachis :) we come in and are treated like family. The portions are big for a great price, and I love the food. Always ask for the salsa with pico in it. YUM. I always get a dish of their spicy sauce to put on top my food (which I'm pretty sure is homemade), and it never disappoints. I got the half portion of the fajita nachos and it was huge! The service is great and they check in frequently, wanting everything to be right for you.

Ah, Los Mariachis, where the small stuff counts. I am one of those eaters who looks at the small stuff - from the health department's chronically high 90s valuation about the sanitation of this Mexican casual diner that hangs on its front window to the speed of service to the temperature of its food. The scores, the smiles, the speed and the food all matter to me. Los Mariachi scores well for local establishments on all counts. It is certainly better than the national fast food and casual restaurant chains - even if this small town could support a more big city Chipotle or Qdoba, in which I would typically rank a three for their pre-fabricated servings. This place is a cut above. This is one of my local restaurants that I have patronized over the years. It has been a Lebanon establishment for over 14 years. My favorite dish is steak salad with guacamole.

I filled up on $6 enchiladas and a yummy frozen margarita! Ask for the salsa Verde! A little extra flavor and heat! Waiter was super friendly and easy on the eyes. (If you're a tourist on the bourbon trail, make your reservation for the 1-hr tour - or at least pop into the welcome center - at the ISC Kentucky Cooperage in the same strip mall! They make all of the barrels for 90% of Kentucky's bourbon! Huge, impressive operation!)

Located in a strip mall, it isn't much to look at on the outside. The inside isn't too different; however, we went there to eat, not to critique architecture. We had great service throughout our visit. The complimentary chips and salsa were refilled several times for our party. After we received our orders, the staff was good about checking to see if we needed anything else. Personally, I had the Chili Colorado meal. Of our party of six, I was the only one not entirely satisfied with my order. The beef was cut very thin, was overcooked and the sauce had been poured on the top of the overcooked meat. It didn't taste bad; it was just poorly prepared. Looking at the plates my dining partners had (pork verde, smothered chicken, fajitas) made me wish for a redo on my order. The prices for the meals and drinks were reasonable. Based on how packed it was, many locals obviously enjoy it (another local Mexican restaurant was open but empty). If I were to return to the area, I'd probably give it another shot.

La Villa Rica Cuisine - Don't be fooled by this ugly boring exterior. And if you see that food truck on the road, follow it.

This little gem is situated in the quaint, charming Civil War historical town of Perryville, Kentucky. It is literally just a few miles from the nation's most historically authentic, Civil War battlefield. There is on street parking as well as a small parking lot to the left of the entrance. Upon coming in the front door you are greeted by old fashioned, hardwood floors and a simple, yet amply stocked bar. You might even find yourself daydreaming about an old Civil War general sitting at the bar smoking a cigar and drinking a glass of bourbon. We were taken around the bar by the hostess and seated in the main dining room. The dining room is spacious and seating is comfortably situated. We chose a booth. I am a fairly portly individual and while I like the privacy of a booth, my belly is usually squeezed against the table for the duration of the meal. Such was not the case here. The booths are amply spaced for guys my size. Almost immediately, we were greeted by a genuine Latino waitress sporting a gentle smile. She got our drinks and brought us a basket of warm corn chips and salsa. The salsa had a mild bite and an excellent flavor profile. The first thing that genuinely grabbed my attention was the seven page menu on the table before me. Seven, I said that. The menu is rife with genuine and typical Latino entrees. This establishment also has an extensive pizza menu. I decided to try the pizza, while my wife decided to try a fajita entree. I ordered a three topping medium pizza. It arrived with liberal helpings of pepperoni, sausage and mushrooms, all enrobed in ooey gooey melted cheese. It was a good pizza. I suspect it may have been cooked in a wood fired oven. It had a subtle hint of mild smoke flavoring. It may have been the sausage too. My wife ordered a chicken fajita. It arrived sizzling as is customary with such a dish. It was served with the customary plate of beans and rice. We held the sour cream as my wife has a dairy allergy. She is also gluten intolerant and the waitress made sure that her fajita would be served with corn tortillas, not flour ones. The food was delicious. It was flavorful, served hot and pleasing to the palate. We did not order drinks, but while we sat there, margaritas in goblets the size of small goldfish bowls crisscrossed the dining room. They genuinely looked amazing. After finishing our main course, I observed a plate of decadent something cross the dining room. I stopped the waiter carrying it and asked about it. He told me it was churros and offered to get me some. I was already quite full, but looking across the dining room at that creation now perched on the other table, I had to have one myself. Four perfectly cooked churros, still warm, arrived at the table. Ice cream enthroned them with generous helpings of whipped cream. All drizzled with chocolate syrup. I said a quick prayer that today was not my day to contract diabetes and promptly downed that pile of decadent calories. It was delicious. The dining room itself is nicely decorated in geographically authentic decoration. It was not too hot, nor too cold. The dining room is ADA compliant. I did not need a restroom, so I did forget to check them on the way out. My only complaint, and it is a mild one, was how noisy the dining room got at one point. Being an old brick building, there is a bit of a din when everyone gets talking. Other than that, the dining experience was pleasant. The true "shock value" of the evening came when the receipt landed on my table. We enjoyed that entire meal for $38. The price point on their food is amazing! This is 2026. You'll spend more for the gas to get here than you will crowding your digestive track with these epic offerings! I was impressed to say the least. I checked the receipt and it all appeared to be there. We left as the dinner rush wound down. When we left some old codgers had bellied up to the bar and were engaged in conversation. You feel like you could get to know this town talking to them fellas. This establishment gets a five star review from me. The best part is that it is only nine miles from my home in the Kentucky countryside.

The service was great (Fernando was our server), food was tasty and generous in portions. I had chicken fajitas with added jalapeños and my dinner partner had the Fiesta Burrito.
