We're at Deer Creek State Park for a conference and I took my kids to this awesome park around the corner from here (Cowling Park). Came here to grab lunch. Food came out lightening fast. Got my kids a taco and burrito. Tasty. Ordered a lunch chimichanga for myself that I thought had great flavor although I wish the beef would have been slightly more tender. Good standard beans and rice. Used the burrito sauce from the kids burrito on my chimichanga which was a win. Fries were nice and crispy. Great lunch! read more

We stopped in after a trip to Springfield and loved the atmosphere. The server was very attentive and kept everything moving getting our food to us quickly. We had the sampler platter, I had the ribeye and shrimp and my wife had the combination. Everything was so delicious and we ended up having leftovers to enjoy later. Granted we are reviewing a Mexican Diner in London, Ohio! Mashed potato's with garlic and butter would have gotten a (4). #1. The Salsa was Tomato Juice with tiny pieces of tomato. No salt, no Cumin, no Green or White Onion and no Jalapeno! Bland as hell! #2. The Guacamole was chunky enough. But again No salt, no Cumin, no Jalapeno or Green Chili and Green Onion. #3 Fish Tacos. Most Americans do not know what goes in these tacos! Make the Taco's for them, and include Street Corn, Cabbage, Onions, Sauce and Onions! Will save you on the Fish! Service was fast No questions from waitress as to why I told her to take it away. Only asked if the Margarita was OK! Told her it was hard to "screw" up one. No clue! You can call it what you want! The steak was so bad and it's not even normal beef it's dairy beef 13.99$ for the 2nd worst meal of my life, would not recommend my friend ordered the 10oz steak n shrimp (med rare) came out well done n then tired to order hamburger took a bite said it was nasty I tired it an new that this wasn't from normal cattle it's was dairy seems to be cheap ownership trying to pass off Mexican food staff was okay around on there phones not helping the guest. read more

The queso and salsa were delicious. The Texan quesadilla was very good no complaints there. Chicken chimichanga was packed full of meat but lacked flavor. Now anyone who knows my grandma, knows she is not known for turning down a cocktail or two or three. Nearly 90, she can hold her own against most anyone around. Drink you under the table? Probably... So anyways, we were on our way back home when she spies this place and guess what? Grandma wants a margarita, now. The young and very pleasant Hispanic woman who waited on us scored lots of points by not flinching when we said we were just there for drinks. No diminished service for the small bill we rung up. We ordered a half pitcher on her suggestion. Cold, tart and with just the right amount of tequila. We quickly got to the point were we didn't have a care in the world. It's a clean place and nicely decorated, nothing too over the top, about what you'd expect in a small town. It was a great first impression that now it's on our list of places we are going to check out for lunch soon. read more

My second time here. The first was with two other people from work. We all three had the special for lunch. Chicken, chorizo and cheese with sour cream and the normal Americanized salad. We all agreed it was very good. I ate everything on my plate. Waiter was very good till right after he gave us the bill. He never told us we should pay up front so we sat there for 10 minutes without so much as a refill or a check in. Hence the four stars. Today I am trying something different so far it looks very tasty. And not bad at all. Tacito (spelling) one chicken one beef. The rice is a little bland but not bad beans about the same. Over all not bad for lunch at $5+. I will be back again if in the area to say the least. For Americanized Mexican food you can't go wrong at all here. And the water is no bad either. Fair at best...and I'll say was better years ago, high ratings have to be from people who don't know real mexican cuisine. The chips are oily tasting, and the salsa is thin as water. Their alambre is supposed to be steak, bacon, onion, green peppers. Comes with lettuce, pico, sour cream and 2- 6" tortillas (2!!) good thing I basically got a plate of green peppers and very little meat to eat. Most places a 'side' of tortillas is at least 3, but they only give you 2 for the whole meal, 2 more for a price as extras. Rice was overcooked, beans were thin and bland. Lady got the Steak sandwich and it was a crispy hoagie bun and some dry meat. Its a large, noisy place and it appears they care more about the bar side of the operation than the food. Clean and comfortable, polite and typically speedy service, just bad food. Other joint in town is much better. read more

The food is good. The manager is pitiful. She is rude. And I have tried 2-3 times to give them another chance. She basically called my daughter a liar over them not getting the order correctly. We made 3 trips to the store to just get the correct food. All she would say is. I Bagged it. It was there. i talked the family into trying them again yesterday I called they sent 2 small cups of cheese dip. I ordered the large. The total order was over 75 bucks. I called wanted to fix it. She argured with me. I had to take the little cups back to get the big one. Which was ridiculous because they would get thrown away. Pretty darn good! For being out of city limits this was a good spot to go. My husband and I started a Keto diet and we stayed within our macros. My husband ordered the the seafood salad and I got the Mariachi chicken with no rice. With a glass a glass of wine. I didn't eat all the onions (way to many carbs) but the flavor was awesome and on point. With tip out the door 29$ Would go back when in the area. Ordered take out of a Pick 2 Dinner, Seafood Salad, and Guacamole. Chicken Enchilada - Very little flavor, not hot, tortilla wrap was wet Chili Relleno - Cold, cheese inside was a block and not melted, the whole thing was wrapped in a wet tortilla Guacamole - Good! Chips - Seemed on the verge of being stale Salsa - Not much flavor and too watery Seafood Salad - Ok. Tilapia was soft and could've cooked longer. Overall, flavors didn't mesh well. Order taker not extremely knowledgeable about menu, but service was fast. Most of my food was slop that I didn't eat. I'll try this place again and order some different items just in case this was a one-off bad day. read more

Los Mariachis is probably the best place to eat in London. The wait staff are friendly, fast, and attentive and I have seen them seat and serve even large parties quickly. The food is always fresh, authentic, and good quality. Their salsa is one of the best I've tried at a Mexican restaurant. You can expect to be seated right away, order from a very typical (but good!) menu, and get hot food within minutes. If you order takeout, it is nicely packaged with extra large helpings of chips and salsa. Price is great too, typically several dollars less per entree than you might expect to pay. For 5.95 I like to get a platter of one taco, one enchilada, one tostada, and rice or beans. My husband and I also like to share the queso dip. read more

This place is decent, but the menu has been back and forth over the years. I like the put al pastor back on "off the grill street tacos." It isn't the best al pastor ever, but it's worth it. It's just hard to find really good Mexican food in Ohio, when you're still used too really intense flavors of Mexican food from other regions of this country. Several locations for this restaurant. This is the London OH location. Great authentic food. Good atmosphere. Great service. Starting with the free salsa and warm chips. Everything I have tried there was great. I especially love the fajitas, served sizzling HOT off the stove. Beef, Chicken, or combination with shrimp. I don't drink alcohol, but there is a large selection. My friends tell me that you can get an excellent Margaretta there. The patio is now open. Parking is somewhat limited, but in the evenings when the other businesses around are closed this is never a problem. Very reasonable prices. I can get a full meal for about $12 including all the ice tea I want. This location is North of Kenny Blvd. on the West side of Lafayette St. (US 42) The Google map is inaccurate.
