We stumbled upon this place after Patch of Heaven as the bque place we were heading too was closed. The service was great and our server recommended the grilled octopus tacos so we ordered those along with grilled shrimp taco. Also got a grilled grouper fish fillet with grilled onions with a side of elote corn w/ cotija cheese. They serve you homemade chiops and salsa. the salsa could use a little more cilantro and make it a little more juicy instead of chunky pico (just my opinion). If you want authentic Mexican food, this is the spot. It is very spacious and clean. The staff are very friendly and attentive. I normally get the Al Pastor tacos and Al pastor sope. They have such a great flavor. Everything is well balanced and the meat is juicy. I recently tried their consomé soup with tortillas and it was very tasty and a very good amount of food. Being born and raised in Miami, I came into town with my little family to see the rest of the family for Easter. My girlfriend was looking for some cabeza tacos... and after searching on Yelp I found this restaurant. We got here, and immediately the service was AMAZING. We got greeted almost immediately after being seated and drinks were brought out shortly after. We just looked at the menu and were going to try an assortment of tacos just to try. The server, Bianca, recommended their grouper taco, and honestly at first we weren't sure how it was going to be. But... it ended up being our favorite out of all of them. If you are not put off by the outside of the plaza (run down, next to a laundromat and mini market) then this place is for you. You forget all that when you walk through the door. They have great Micheladas and the chips and salsa are really good. We ordered the beef burrito (it is a la carte) a carne asada tostada, a chicharrón taco and an Al pastor taco with a side of beans. It was all delicious. They bring cilantro and onions on the side and they also have two homemade salsas, one spicy and one tomatillo are also fresh and well made. Well, we wanted authentic Mexican and so we decided to drive down south from where we live in Country Walk. It's not immediately visible from US1 because it's in a nondescript dark strip mall but GPS did it's magic. Very clean inside, nice decorations, well lit, and there's big screen tvs that are pretty loud. The clientele is a mixture of Mexican and non-Mexican, so seeing Mexicans eating there reassured me that this was authentic. Service is quick, and immediately you get a small serving of chips with non-spicy pico de gallo. Chips were hard and not salty so whatever. Anyway, we ordered a variety of stuff, and in particular I got a consomé broth and 4 tortillas ($6) plus a carnitas torta with avocado ($11). I've definitely had tastier and more filling tortas in Mexico and NYC but it was pretty good for Miami. Service was top notch and everything came out very quickly. read more

Brought a family of four fairly picky midwesterners here and everyone was thoroughly impressed by the quality of the food, the attentiveness and politeness of our server, and the family friendly atmosphere. I'm a fan of traditional tacos, and had a bistec (steak) and a cabeza (beef head) taco, and both were incredible. My wife had chicken fajitas, and the chicken was well seasoned, but the rice was surprisingly even more flavorful. My mother and father in law both had the tostadas, and both cleaned their plates despite being the pickiest of the group. We took a tres leches dessert home with us because they were closing, and they were more than happy to prep and box it up for us.
