Don't judge a book by its cover! When we pulled up, the place looked empty no cars out front but don't let that fool you. Once you're inside, it's warm, traditional, and absolutely packed with authentic flavor. Everything we ordered was spot on: hot, crispy, and made to order. The only thing I'd tweak is the chips and guac it could use a bit more seasoning, but nothing a little salt and lime couldn't fix. Their hot sauce, though? Seriously hot and the perfect kick to elevate the pico. Everything was fresh and delicious. Wish this spot was closer to home I'd be here all the time!

Will return Good customer service; food was plentiful and delicious. The restaurant was clean with decent seating. We went an hour before closing so the staff did clean up towards the end of our meal using bleach and the smell was quite overwhelming. I would definitely recommend the snapper and think two can share the medium. The shrimp ceviche was so good. The seafood mix in the crab shell was also pretty good. I have no complaints on any of the food.

My friend took us there to eat and it was delicious. The waitress was kind and friendly. The food took awhile but it was worth the wait. Once the food came, I enjoyed every bite. I will definitely come back again.

Nos atendieron bien , super rápido vino la comida. La carne esta suave y rica. Los precio están razonables, y el parqueo está al lado del restaurante.

WOW! The food here was amazing. Chips and guacamole was delicious. The chips had Cajun seasoning on them. Ordered fried fish with a side of fries. The fish was seasoned amazingly! My mom ordered seafood soup, she loved it. My margarita was so strong which I appreciate. You know margaritas are a hit or miss...in some places they're watery and barely any alcohol. Service was great and quick! Ambiance was great too! Will def be back

Food- 4-5 Service- 4 Ambiance- 4-5 Value $- 5 I came here on the recommendation of a friend. I love Mexican food and I'm always looking for a good authentic restaurant to visit. The food was good, but not the best I've ever had. I appreciate that it is definitely authentic. So I give it 4-5 stars. The service was pretty good. The restaurant is pretty clean, and nicely decorated. It's an older building- kind of a dive. The prices are very reasonable! I ordered the enchiladas verde (chicken). My daughter ordered the chicken fajitas, and my other daughter ordered the shrimp tacos. They each got a bottle of soda, and we split some chips and guacamole. Our bill was $65 for everything. Not bad at all. Plus we have a lot of leftovers. The guacamole was a decent size and we had leftover. My daughter who ordered the shrimp tacos was the only one who finished all of her food. Although, she didn't eat any of the rice or refried beans that it came with. The rice was very tasty. The beans were a little bland. Everything was fresh and hot. We will definitely be back again. I'd like to try more seafood next time.

*Visited during COVID-19 restrictions* They are currently doing Takeout only, so plan ahead. We had to eat in the car....but it's all good, cause the food was BOMB. First off, large servings here. VERY LARGE. Chimichanga - So...this is a deep fried burrito. YEP, you read that right. If you've never had a chimichanga, you need to run here right now. I got it with steak and they were delicious! Amazing flavors, the steak was chopped up into bite size pieces, there was a lot of cheese. It was excellent. It's massssive, so good luck finishing it alone. But in case you do and are still hungry it also comes with a side of rice and beans. This meal is certainly enough to share - or have a really good leftover meal later. Guac - I got some extra guac and chips. Glad I did. it was a perfect side. A tub of margarita to go as well. They have drinks to go during COVID19 restrictions on dine in, so grab one if you're in the mood! They are....VERY STRONG lol. I got the large, which was a very large tub that gave your 2 full drinks. Staff was nice and the orders came out super fast. Glad we stopped in!

I used to come here all the time for the past 10 years . I went yesterday and unfortunately the food quality was not the same . I order tacos and they were extremely dry usually tacos come with the green sauce and they had no sauce to offer whatsoever. No flavor at all. My husband order fried fish and the taste was like cardboard old. Not sure if they changed the owner but this place is not the same anymore .

The service was super prompt, but there were only three tables working. The food was nothing special but plentiful. My chimichanga tasted like it was prepared canned chicken. My brother-in-law's beef taco was similarly odd in taste. The decor reminded us of the Mexican restaurant in EPCOT. This establishment is an acquired taste.

We were spending our usual weekend in the keys after a day of boating and sat next to a guy at Blackwater Siren, who recommended we visit a place in Homestead called Puerto Vallarta and that it wouldn't disappoint. One of the best fried snapper and mariscos sopa I've ever had! My boyfriend is not a fish/crab person, but we deboned that fish and crab legs to the very end! The flavors and amount of food for the price, it's absolutely outstanding. The service was amazing as well, given we got there soon before they were closing. Will most definitely be back. This hidden gem will never be forgotten!

We brought my sister for her birthday lunch, and from the moment we sat down outside, it just felt right. Blue skies, that warm Miami breeze, the kind of afternoon that makes you slow down and actually enjoy the people you're with. Sitting on the patio along South Dixie Highway, you get that classic local seafood vibe without any pretense. Just fresh air, fresh fish, and good energy. Now let's talk about the service, because it deserves its own spotlight. I'm totally blind, and if you've followed my reviews before, you know I notice how places handle that. Our server was phenomenal. She was attentive without hovering, detailed without being overwhelming, and helpful without a hint of being patronizing. She clearly paid attention to where everything was placed, described the dishes in a way that made them come alive, and made sure I could navigate the table comfortably. That balance is rare. It's professionalism mixed with genuine care. Thank you for that. It mattered. And the food. Wow. We started with the tuna wontons and conch fritters. Both were fresh, flavorful, and perfectly done. The tuna was bright and clean, with just the right crunch from the wonton. The fritters were golden and crisp outside, tender inside, with that classic South Florida seasoning that makes you want "just one more." I had the lobster bisque, and it was rich without being heavy. Smooth, creamy, layered with flavor, and clearly made with real attention to detail. My sister's boyfriend ordered the shrimp tacos, and they were loaded, well-balanced, and packed with fresh seafood flavor. My wife had the grouper fillet, grilled to perfection. I sampled both my sister's blackened fish and my wife's grilled grouper. The blackened had that beautiful, slightly spicy crust that wakes up your palate without overpowering the fish. The grilled version had what tasted like an Old Bay style seasoning that complemented the natural sweetness of the grouper perfectly. Everything was cooked exactly right. Nothing overdone. Nothing rushed. Just quality seafood handled the way it should be. All in all, it was a fantastic birthday lunch. Great service. Great food. Classic South Florida atmosphere. And the best part for us, it's right near home, which means we'll absolutely be back. If you're looking for a relaxed, authentic seafood experience in Miami, Golden Rule Seafood delivers.

The fish was fresh, flavorful and plenty. The rice and beans and asparagus were also good. My friends had the Mahi, sliders, Debby side salad and the salmon dish. One person thought the salmon dish was ok, but everyone else was impressed with their own dish. The key lime pie was too tart and sweet for me, but it was good in spite of that. The other guests LOVED it! After brunch, I went to check out the market that offered amazing seasoning, fish, dips and other treats for good prices. Derrick offered excellent service to everyone when it came to welcoming us and selecting fish. I was impressed and will certainly be back. Check them out and enjoy!

After two days of driving through snow storms and heavy rain and spending a night sleeping in the truck at a Cracker Barrel just outside Chattanooga, TN, we finally made it to South Florida. We had just arrived to the area and it was a bit late. We were driving through Homestead, FL. We were hungry looking for something to eat. We saw an open food stand serving Venezuelan food. My wife being Venezuelan, and my favorite food being a Cachapa, we hooked a u-turn and headed back to the food stand. I ordered the Venezuelan hamburger (Burger La Tuyera) and my wife ordered the Barrilla (mixed BBQ). This was the first time I have had a Venezuelan hamburger. It was a huge hamburger (see the pics). It had sausage, an egg, cheese (queso de mano), corn... it was awesome. My wife loved her order. She had been saying she could not wait to get down to Miami to get some delicious arepas. The selection of meats in mixed BBQ tasted great and were cooked perfectly. The arepitas tasted awesome. The food here at this food stand was definitely worth doing a u-turn for.
