Don't judge a book by its cover! When we pulled up, the place looked empty no cars out front but don't let that fool you. Once you're inside, it's warm, traditional, and absolutely packed with authentic flavor. Everything we ordered was spot on: hot, crispy, and made to order. The only thing I'd tweak is the chips and guac it could use a bit more seasoning, but nothing a little salt and lime couldn't fix. Their hot sauce, though? We went an hour before closing so the staff did clean up towards the end of our meal using bleach and the smell was quite overwhelming. The worst lunch I ever had. We ordered Margaritas to begin with and they were made with wine instead of tequila. Both of us ordered the fried snapper and it was so tough it was difficult to cut with a knife and fork. We brought this to the attention of the waitress who simply shrugged her shoulders. They're prices are absurdly high. I called for a takeout order and checked their menu ahead of time and my order was supposed to be around $50 and Then last min when I went to pick up they said it was $89. They said the menu on their website wasn't accurate and they raised prices. read more

The restaurant is pretty clean, and nicely decorated. It's an older building- kind of a dive. The prices are very reasonable! I ordered the enchiladas verde (chicken). My daughter ordered the chicken fajitas, and my other daughter ordered the shrimp tacos. They each got a bottle of soda, and we split some chips and guacamole. Our bill was $65 for everything. Not bad at all. Plus we have a lot of leftovers. The guacamole was a decent size and we had leftover. My daughter who ordered the shrimp tacos was the only one who finished all of her food. Although, she didn't eat any of the rice or refried beans that it came with. The rice was very tasty. The beans were a little bland. Everything was fresh and hot. We will definitely be back again. Amazing flavors, the steak was chopped up into bite size pieces, there was a lot of cheese. It was excellent. It's massssive, so good luck finishing it alone. But in case you do and are still hungry it also comes with a side of rice and beans. This meal is certainly enough to share - or have a really good leftover meal later. Guac - I got some extra guac and chips. Glad I did. it was a perfect side. A tub of margarita to go as well. From the outside the place was very festive and bright and the inside was also nicely decorated. Rice and seafood dish: The texture of the rice was good, but there was not much flavour in the dish. The seafood in it was so-so, not especially fresh or good, not succulent. Fries are terrible, soggy and mealy in texture rather than crispy. They taste like low-quality frozen fries that are then poorly cooked. Complimentary chips & pico de gallo were fine. Service is not great. Wait staff came by our table a lot to check on us but when we actually needed something & asked for it, they didn't seem to care to get it for us. 2+ stars read more

The place is adorable outside, but the food was not as good as we hoped. Service was very good, and the portions were large. Queso was really nice and cheesy instead of watered down sauce like some places serve. But my ceviche did not taste fresh and was more like vinegar tasting than lime. The fish was even a bit dry. Not sure we would try it again, but maybe if we were in the area again we would give it one more chance. Puerto Vallarta is a great Restaurant minus the price. At Puerto Vallarta you will find an excellent seafood menu with huge portions. Most dishes are definitely shareable and inexpensive. I came here with a client from the area and decided to try it out. We ordered a fish soup, seafood enchiladas in a lobster sauce, Micheladas and this all comes with 2 sides plus complimentary chips and salsa. Their house made hot sauce is very good. Hot and flavorful. Enchiladas and fish soup were delicious! Enchiladas were creamy and stuffed with lots of seafood and served with this... was a chile poblano stuffed with cheese that melted in your mouth. The creamy lobster sauce was decadent. I would also recommend having the fish soup or seafood soup as appetizers and have them divided in smaller portions. The small size soup is probably good enough for 3 appetizer soups. The Michelada picante (beer mix with spices) was very good and very refreshing. Not overwhelming at all. Service was impeccable and owner was very friendly and attentive. Overall a great experience. We eat at this wonderful restaurant frequently, as we live less than a mile away. The chicken quesadillas we ordered tonight were so disappointing. Myself and my daughter have been eating them for years, literally years. It seems they have changed the cheese, to what seems to my family is swiss cheese. My husband's burrito, which is the only thing he eats from there, said his tasted the same. Whatever cheese you guys have changed to does not work for your tasty food. Some of the reviews were hit and miss so I was a little nervous but the negative reviewers must've come on a bad day-- cause the food was delicious! We ordered several plates to share and the portions were larger than most. The Vallarta Tierra y Mar-A combo of grilled New York steak, fist filet cooked in garlic sauce & a shrimp kabob, served with rice & beans-- an elevated surf and turf. The NY steak was cooked to perfection and the portion size insane! The Pechuga de Pollo Sarandeada Grilled chicken breast served with rice, beans and guacamole--the beans were delicious! The chicken was so so good, seriously fresh. I wish the Guac portion was a little larger because it was epic probably the only "small portion" item received. Finally, the Fajitas Mix-Chicken & steak strips grilled with onions de bell peppers--perfectly seasoned and sizzling when served! I think this will be a repeat order, cause they were unforgettable! Service was great, our waitress was very polite and the restaurant was very clean and decorated wonderfully. Space is limited but there is a waiting areas outside with chairs and coverings to protect you from the sun. There's also a really cool bar area inside.
