Best part of this park: The spacious modern bathrooms. Except they installed the wrong urinals for men. They put in the dysfunctional shallow splashback urinals that spray your urine and the residue of men that came before you instead of the modern funnel urinals that are safer and cleaner. As a result men will use the toilet as a urinal to avoid the spashback. Someone was not thinking when they ordered the urinals--they probably left it up to the brainless contractors. You know, a lot of women don't realize that when a man uses the type of urinals in this park and then they rejoin them outside for a hung or more--the men will have a coat of urine on them from the splashback. These type of urinals should be banned entirely all over the world--why they even still make them is ridiculous. The rest of the park is fine--adequate parking, benches, very safe area adjacent to TONS of newer apartments. I found it off the San Diego Creek Bike Trail that runs from near Harvard and Barranca to this park. It's a flat trail with lots of twists and turns and dead-ends you have to keep figuring out where it continues. I will come back to this park again on my next trip to explore the park more and the area. Some people in the park said hello to me so maybe this is a friendly area unlike most parts of Irvine. Until then: CIty of Irvine: Replace those ridiculous urinals--you should know better. TIP: Kohler makes the best ones used commercially all over the USA.

The play area here is great - except one thing - there's very little shade. Why, oh why do they keep making parks with hardly any shade? There are two play areas- one for bigs, one for littles. They also have a fab musical area in the park. There is a small patch of sand, but not much. No swings, but two large disc swing things. The toilets were pristine, and the ladies loo has a changing pad for babies.

Hands down one of the cleanest, most convenient parks in the Irvine area!…read more There are several baseball fields, tons of gated tennis courts, playgrounds for the kids, countless picnic areas that are numbered for parties and gatherings. I think what makes this park stand out is the crowd. Any park can be beautiful but, without the proper maintenance from the park crew (and most importantly the park goers) it doesn't stand a chance. You see tons of regulars here with their dogs, families, kids. Everyone is friendly and respectful of one another. The dog crowd at this park is also one of the best I've seen. Although the park is not off leash, there's wide open areas for you to allow your fur family to play catch, run around, and have a bit of freedom! They do have a couple of posts that have doggie bags however, they run out quick so please do come prepared with your own poop bags just in case! There are plenty of water fountains throughout with water filling stations attached, so don't forget a bowl for your fur family!!

There were quite a few cars in the lot already. However, we didn't see a lot of people milling around as the park covers quite an extensive area. The park features a flower garden with a fountain near its center. Beyond that are several picnic shelters amidst an elaborate children's playground. Further on, there is a large expanse of grass area amidst soccer fields, base ball diamond and tennis courts. There are paved walk paths through out the complex that winds up and down the various terrains. Overall it's a nice place to enjoy a leisure walk!

lol my old review ~2yr ago: "Just wish it had a bunch of pickleball courts". Ask and ye shall…read morereceive! Last Tues was their ribbon-cutting ceremony inaugurating 8 brand-new public pickleball courts in Irvine. + Tall fences to minimize ball-on interferences. + Many tables and benches to sit around. + Many clean restrooms 1-3mins walk away. + Enough baseline room for retrieving lobs. . Okay sideline room for ATPs. . Wide skill range there, from novices to high-intermediate players. - LONG wait. Since the first day, crowds rushed in to line up for open play. The rack is already full with 30+ paddles. + During middle of the day (lunchtime), it's empty. . Only one rack queue for all 4 (or 8) open-play courts. - Starting yesterday (Fri 2/6/26) the other 4 courts became reservation crts. -- On the first day, it was chaotic. My paddle was first in line. A game ended and someone called next 4 and gave me my paddle. I turned to hop on an open court, but no court was open. I turned back and the queue had already shifted along, so there was no spot at the front for me to put my paddle back. I asked around. One person said he was in the same situation, then he grabbed an open 4-paddle holder to put his paddle back in front of the line. I tried to put mine in, but he kept blocking me out to let his folks put theirs in. I was dumbfounded, disgruntled, distraught. No one cared to help my situation. An Irvine city employee walked by, and I explained my situation to him. He couldn't offer much help. After a few min, I accepted my miserable situation and put my paddle back in the end of the line. I only got to play 1 game that day. - The city employees should've known better. Keep 1 or 2 members monitoring the hectic paddle queue to ensure no one gets cut in line. . Moral of the day: before removing your paddle from the front of the line to hop on the next court, make sure you know which court # you're going to, make sure the ppl there are leaving, make sure the other 3 ppl in your group of 4 are going with you. . Idea: If you do wind up in my situation, and you've already lost your place in line, one thing you can try is grab an empty 4-paddle holder, squeeze it in to the front of the line, and put your paddle in. Offer any 3 random ppl (who are already near the front of the line) to join your 1st-place paddle holder. If people object, explain your sad situation first. If they remain adamant, I guess the mission's a no-go, then you'll end up having to return your paddle to the end of the line. I'm only just thinking of this idea now. Didn't get to try it while I was caught up in the moment. Hope the same thing doesn't happen to you.

I see the beauty of nature and city, serene and lovely, for $5 to park and zero dollars to walk, breathe, and admire the natural and person-made park. According to the squirrel I met here, the food here is amazing, but nothing for us human beings. The parking lot was so clean and spacious on this lovely Sunday. The bathrooms were clean and comfortable; they even had a trash can outside. They have enough ventilation, so even if someone farts hard, it may not be so bad. I saw some lovely dogs, families, people jogging and walking, and some cool airplanes and boats controlled remotely by people chilling and enjoying Sunday morning. For me, this is also a great place to burn off complex carbohydrates from breakfast.

However if you go on a holiday, be prepared for long lines to enter and then no parking available. They have overflow parking in the grass which is not my favorite at all. So great park but enter at your own risk! I'm not usually a fan of paid parking parks either. But when there's a group you are going with, what can you do. SYOY!
