I finally made it back to my hometown and had to stop by Portillo's in Moreno Valley again!!!!…read more This was the first time I decided to try their burgers and boy I'm glad I did because I've definitely been missing out. The char-grilled burgers were cooked perfectly--juicy, flavorful, and loaded with fresh toppings. The Italian beef sandwich was tender, juicy, and even better with the hot and spicy peppers that added the perfect kick. The French fries were hot, crispy, and seasoned with just the right amount of salt. And if you're ordering fries, the cheese sauce is a must--it takes them to the next level! Daughter had the Chopped Salad with spicy chicken, and it was fresh, crisp, and packed with flavor. The spicy chicken added just the right amount of heat without overpowering the salad. The portions were generous, the food came out fresh, and the staff was friendly. If you're looking for delicious burgers, amazing Italian beef sandwiches, crispy fries with cheese sauce, and a fresh, satisfying salad, Portillo's in Moreno Valley is definitely worth a visit!

I ordered the chili dog with onions and got a side of nacho type cheese to dip it in and for the Fries...... Not bad overall, but the chili had BEANS in it and was too watery. It needs to be THICK like at Tommy's and Cupid's. The fries were no big deal. Speedy service, as the inside was just about empty on Thursday around 3 p.m. How about selling just the raw dogs so we can take them home and make our own? These were not anywhere near as good as Cupid's in the San Fernando Valley on Winnetka.....which has been the gold standard for decades!!

I still enjoy this place and will continue to support it. -----previous review---- Love the vibe and the food. But they recently changed their menu. I didn't know this until I got my food. I ordered expecting to get the original fried chicken sandwich on the hawaiian roll. But out came this pathetic looking chicken sandwich on a sesame bun (later found out they up charge for the hawaiian roll) with a flat piece of fried chicken that is significantly a downgrade from the original in terms of texture, juiciness, and taste. My husband loves beer and I don't drink but this place had good food so it was perfect for us. But apparently not anymore. Prices go up and quality went down. I don't mind paying for good food, but I don't think changing the menu was the way to go. That was not it. Likely won't be returning unless their food gets better. Bring back the original Bad Muthaclucka!

Food isn't as good as once was. I just ate lunch and the beer was the best part of it lol. The Girl with the glasses isn't very friendly. I'd have a better interaction with the robot that will eventually take her job.

I decided to get something a little more filling. Hot dog was soooo good, excellent customer service. There are little tables and chairs to sit outside. Ice cold soda cans and a great selection of chips. The hot dog was cooked exactly how I like it, the pickles were fresh and I loved the grilled onions. Juan was so friendly and even gave me a suggestion for when I came back on another menu item to try. They take credit card too, and it's easy to park!!! It's a great lunch for when you don't wanna commit to anything too big or pricey. Everything was just right.

This is a one-person operation, who is a vendor of the City. I had the Bacon Wrapped Hot Dog. The skin of the dog had a nice snap with each bite. The bacon was thick sliced, ye the whole dog was incredibly rich. I'd guess it didn't lack for calories. The bun was moist, yet carried everything well. I also ordered the beef street taco. Not knowing the type of beef, I asked for ground beef. Don't do that! The owner was very quick to show me the beef packaging showing that the beef was cubed Angus steak. The street taco was flavorful and good - about what you'd expect from a cubed steak taco. The hot sauce was good - just enough zing but not overpowering. They only have outdoor seating. Generally we see city employees taking their meal breaks there. On this particular lunch, it was a bit cool out, so we ate in our car. The trash cans were convenient so it was easy to throw our trash away. If we are out and about, between errands, we would stop by again.
