    A proper tamale
    Penny S.

If there was a -5 star I would use it. Im sorry on what planet are their tamales sooo amazing?? I've bought waaaay better from a lady in a parking lot. And when did people start putting what I can only guess is cheese on them. For $30 and the "reviews" we expected the best ever. They should rename them masales because thats ALL there is, masa. Take a look at the pictures. One little piece of what I can only assume is chicken. Didn't even bother trying the pork, hubby tried both just for benefit of the doubt...yeah...just no. Maybe someone needs to learn how to make PROPER tamales. Seriously people DO NOT waste your money on these masales, I mean unless you love bland masa with couple peppers pieces here and there.

Tacos absolutely slap, prices are fair, staff super nice! Definitely going to be coming back here again!

This location is a smaller storefront location with 6 tables. However, for the hour that I sat and enjoyed the ambiance, it appears that 90% of their business is carry-out. But enough on that. On to the food. I ordered two red pork tamales and four asada tacos. The carne asada was juicy and moist and had not been cooked to the more common little meat chunks. The seasoning was still in place on the meat, and it was obvious that the meat had been chopped up from a larger flank steak. The pork tamales were very well made and were delicious. There was a good balance between meat and masa. I picked up a half dozen to take with me. This is a great little place, and I will visit again when I get a chance.

Commerce City authentic hole-in-the-wall review feature: Los Tamales!! THE SPACE: Wonderfully unassuming and tucked into a little strip mall off 62nd and Vasquez sits Los Tamales. It has a small dinning room that can maybe seat 10 people. Most of their business seems to be takeout. If you do choose to dine in, be warned - it gets HOT in the afternoon. THE EATS: Holy. YUM! I've gotta say I'm hooked on the big burrito. Now, this burrito is massive! I've ordered it with both carnitas and carne asada - the carne asada is def where it's at. My coworker frequently get the carne asada fries and those are equally delicious. Next on my must-try list is the breakfast burrito, because let's face it, I am a sucker for a breakfast burrito. THE DRINKS: What would an authentic Mexican meal be like without a litre bottle of real Mexican Coke? Sub par is what it would be. Well never fear because they got you covered! Los Tamales also offers up bottled Fresca, Sprite and other authentic bevvies to wash down your meal. THE SERVICE: Legit the friendliest staff. They are very patient and helpful even when busy. They are always happy to answer any questions you have. Los Tamales is def my newest authentic Mexican obsession. I'll gladly eat there any time and every time I'm in the area. **Pro Tip: Did I mention grab and go tamales?! No!! Well, yeah, they offer up their tasty AF tamales to take home by the dozen for your dinner, lunch, late night snaking, or whatever enjoyment! So go on and treat yo'self!

    No a mexican hamburger

We ordered food off of delivery they didn't give us one of the plates missing the mexican hamburger and in place gave us breakfast ... when we called the lady said she said she packaged it herself like we was lying ...

    QuesaBirria plate

First time here and very glad to have stumbled upon this place. Got the QuesaBirria plate. Best Birria tacos I've ever had. The consumé was delicious and the tacos were crispy. Came with rice and beans which were equally great. It was very busy but the line moved fast and the wait was not long at all. Great spot will be back for sure.

Really good food! Service was great and quick!! We tried the Chile Colorado and eggs as well as the huevos rancheros. The huevos rancheros were super tasty snd cheesy!

    Jeni A.

Ordered a breakfast burrito smothered and a French toast breakfast for the kiddos. The burrito was huge! Flavor was on point and the green chili had just the right amount of kick. The Grubhub price was adjusted more than I would have expected because I asked that the burrito be smothered instead of chili inside. For the price increase I would have hoped for more chili. Thankfully I ordered another side. We will definitely order again!

There is mainly street parking and we got lucky with a spot just down the street. The restaurant was already busy at 9am and had a long wait when we left. Testament to good restaurant and popular neighborhood. This is a brunch spot so come ready for breakfast and/or lunch grub. We were hungry and tried a bunch. The drip coffee & lattes were delicious (oat milk is available) and come in cute animal cups. We started with 2 of the sausage rolls which are akin to pigs in a blanket but much higher quality sausage in puff pastry served with syrup. Very good but nothing extraordinary. The small bite star is the spicy egg salad on crispy potato. These are divine with just enough spice to balance the creamy egg salad and insanely crunchy and delicious fried potato (like crispy rice but potato) We also shared a muffin of the day which rotates flavors. It was spectacular. The mortadella Sammy was fried and filling with a berry jam, cheese and egg. I had the egg over medium and it was messy in the best way. This is a sandwich to have extra napkins for. I'd 100% recommend it. The avocado toast was tasty and came with poached eggs (you can order one or two). Great food, service and vibes. Note there is a 20% service charge that is separate from tip, Our server did explain it when we first sat down so it wasn't hidden.

By now, average foodies have experienced what Culinary Dropout is all about and yet I humbly and honestly admit the fact that I was a virgin until I for the first time experienced it today on July 16, 2026. In a way, it was like celebrating a super belated birthday of someone I know. This Denver location is rightfully located in this one of the newly developed residential areas that used to be a desert (lol!!) With a blink of an eye, all sorts of businesses popped up within the last 5-10 years or so. First and foremost, what a spacious restaurant this is! Very modern with some casual sense but upscale at the same time. All 5 of us were taken all the way back to the u-shaped booths that is at the "Converse sneaker" decorated wall near the restrooms. Our waiter was John. His impeccable friendliness with expert-level server skills was quite notable. His timeliness in giving us a moment or two so we could decide what to drink/eat, checking back on us to see how everything was tasting etc. was almost AI-driven accuracy. For food and drinks, I am just going to speak just for myself. I got... -Vida Verdita which is a non-alcoholic cocktail that has a good amount of kick in it with pineapple with green appearance and -Roasted Salmon; the portion is a bit small and yet overall it tasted good with perfect medium-ness. Vida Verdita is one of the best NA drinks I've ever had in a while. This minimal consequence beverage is $9 as of mid-July 2026. If you want to steer clear of being drunk but want some energized push to get your night going then I highly recommend this NA drink. Roasted Salmon, on the other hand, was lacking exceptional quality for the price of $31. It wasn't bad as it was prepared in the perfect medium texture but I found it a bit boring so if spending $30+ on a mediocre plate is your pet peeve, then this "run of the mill" dish should be avoided. I feel that they should add more ingredients such as broccolini (yes, something green (not just some cilantro leaves) needs to be added to the plate.) In conclusion...did I walk away being super impressed after dining at Culinary Dropout Denver tonight? No, not really. And yet I wasn't disappointed either. Overall, my experience tonight sits somewhere between 3.5 and 4 star level. It was an occasion for our monthly "girls' get-together" and it's my understanding that we will meet at this place next month again. I will thus explore more on the menu by trying something different.

We went for a late brunch knowing it would be busy on Mother's Day weekend, and were prepared to wait, but had been wanting to give it a try. As soon as we walked in we were ignored by the hostess for an unknown reason, however another girl saw and came over to seat us... great! We get it, it's busy so thought okay awesome we can get right in. She was the best part of our entire experience, probably the only person we encountered who seemed genuinely helpful and aware. We sat outside and the table was filthy. Okay... no biggie it can be cleaned. The server eventually comes over and takes our drink order. When she brings them they spill on the already dirty table, so I asked for some extra napkins and a wet towel to wipe the table if they have it... to which she replied "It'll evaporate." Then a few minutes later another girl came over and tossed two wet-naps on the table and walked away. Did not say a word... okay. Remember: I kindly asked for napkins lol and a wet towel *if possible*. At this point we were looking around for hidden cameras, surely this was a prank, right?????? We waited to see if maybe things could turn around... but it was downhill from the start. We ended up asking for the check for the drinks we had gotten to continue our day on a better note elsewhere. The waitress (who I'm not naming out of grace) had a horrible attitude and just walked away. She brought our check but no one came to take the payment... fine, we were finishing our drinks anyway. Oh! And one of the glasses we got for our drinks was dirty so we were just sharing one cup :) After some time I saw the manager who was cleaning up a table and seemed to wish he could avoid coming over and let him know what happened, he said "he'll take care of it". Then disappeared never to be seen again. So we waited and finally flagged down another person to take the payment so we could head out, we also let her know our experience was shocking to which she was defensive instead of interested. We finally left after an hour of this and went to a local fav and had a wonderful rest of our day-- they even wiped the table without us asking when we got there! We're super chill and I used to work in the restaurant business, so we tend to extend a lot of grace, but the service here was truly unacceptable and jarring. We almost took our parents here last week, so glad we didn't. Would NOT recommend, unfortunately. God bless! (Dirty cup and wet nap pictured )
