The decor is bright and fun with lots of art. Service was excellent and so was the food. I ordered the A la crema with shrimp. The shrimp tasted fresh and the creamy cheese sauce covering the rice was delicious. Tons of margarita flavor options! The spicy watermelon sounded delicious as well as passion fruit, coconut and guava. With so many choices it was a tough call, the passion fruit did not disappoint. I came on a Saturday evening around 6pm and they were not busy at all, maybe from the rain I got lucky?! Oh and my ticket had a QR code that allowed me to pay with Apple Pay right from my phone at my table. I'm excited to come back and try more. See you next time! read more

Much to be desired here I ordered takeout the special house plate with chicken, beef and shrimp for 25$ thinking it would feed my wife and I since we weren't to terribly hungry. It smelled great, but sadly I must report the food was cold and it was my fault because it me a few minutes longer than anticipated to find parking. Anyway despite the cold food it smelt amazing unfortunately the aroma was some sort of placebo and aside from the extremely tiny portions that gave way to bland dry chicken and chewy overcooked beef and shrimp. Sadly the best part was the 3oz of rice and beans together! And 2 lowly tortillas. It pains me to write this as I was really looking forward to trying this place. But I think I will give it another shot because of my role in picking up the food on time, I just don't know how soon given the portion size for price. They could have at least put some chips and salsa in with the order oh well good luck. read more

I thought this was more of a fast food restaurant, but was pleasantly surprised by the beautiful atmosphere and delicious food. I had the carne asada burrito and my friend had the chicken taquitos with rice and beans. We both really enjoyed our food and of course the chips and salsa to start. Also very reasonably priced. Not good. Probably won't order here again. We ordered a Bean/Cheese/Rice burrito, a cheese enchilada no sour cream, and a carne asada burrito. The carne asada was pretty bad. A lot of chewy/gristly parts and the parts that weren't, weren't that tender either. Bleh. In the Uber Eats app, you choose the enchiladas plate, and it says you can order with chicken or cheese, but there's no option to pick either one. So I put 'cheese enchiladas w/ no sour cream please' in the order notes. You can guess what ended up arriving - chicken enchiladas AND sour cream. Fantastic. The Bean/Cheese/Rice burrito was fine, but I mean, how can you possibly mess that up? So yea, not-good food + not even delivering the correct order = will not order here again. read more

The best Mexican food I've had in Salem! I've been looking for a high quality Mexican food place that charges a perfect amount per taco and y'all, this is it. I cringe when some places charge upwards of $5 per taco and thankfully, Los Toreros is not one of those businesses. The tacos were $1.50/per! The staff was extremely nice, the food came out incredibly fast (while still being hot and fresh), and there's even some cute little knickknacks imported from Mexico you can buy as well. We will absolutely be returning to support this local family-owner business. :) read more
