Not what we had hoped for. The exterior and interior are authentic mexican style, colorful & circus like, though the inside was a bit cramped, & the chairs uncomfortable. Our meals were very bland and not at all like most of the mexican food we have had and liked. I had the enchilada special & my wife had the fajita plate. Our meals were NOT bad, just not good. Our waitress was unpleasant, either mad at the world or something. Though the restaurant was not crowded, she was hard to find and flag down, and after she served our food, never came by the table voluntarily. I would not recommend this restaurant and we will not go back.

Los Tres Amigos will be closed on Mondays. Guess they need a day off also. Will miss the fantastic food.

No cheese sauce in sight with very little rice and beans and a dry chimichanga for $20.

If I could take my one star back I would. I ordered a specific item on the menu via Uber eats for my lunch break. Spent close to 20$ and they did not prepare my chimichanga correctly. I specifically picked the menu item because I was covered in cheese sauce and had all the ingredients I was hoping for. Instead I got this shit. I will never purchase again.

Love a taco holder...no soggy shells here my friend.

I love me some mexican! I don't require much..flavorful rice n beans, cold beer, and a crunchy shell on my taco. Check..check..and check! I came here on a quiet saturday for lunch. Service was quick. I ordered a taco plate with rice n beans. Unlike the last mexican place I reviewed...who shall remain nameless..this place actually understands that you can't put my freakin crunchy taco on a plate with rice n beans bc it will get soggy! Quick, tasty meal at a good price. Worth a repeat trip.

After finally finding a place to park we were told that it would be a 15-20 minute wait. We went to the bar to get a drink while waiting. We didn't even get a chance to order a drink because a table was ready that quickly. We didn't order an appetizer we just went straight to the meal. My wife ordered the fish taco dinner with corn tacos and I had the ground meat tacos with flour tortillas.Well, to make a long story short, the tacos were a big disappointment. My wife said the seasoning on the grilled fish tacos was nonexistent. Whenever we order tacos she usually gets the grilled fish taco's and she said these just weren't up to snuff. As far as my tacos they were pretty bad. They were greasy and gummy, a bad combination. I don't know if it was my fault that I didn't specify corn tortillas but I thought tacos were with corn tortillas unless you asked for flour tortillas. Anyway, I couldn't even finish mine..My wife washed hers down with a beer as did I. The service was great and there's a magician who goes around the tables doing magic tricks while you're waiting for your food. We loved him. It was almost worth going just to see him. For dessert my wife ordered the flan and I the 3 milk cake. Liked the cake a lot and the flan was okay. The restaurant was recommended so highly that we'll give them another try.

Hate the plastic glasses, but at least get the drink cold. COLD. An on-the-rocks margarita is not supposed to be lukewarm. This was. I strained into my water glass and added ice, let it cool, and poured it back in the margarita glass. There were three of us and two of our three orders came out wrong (one specifically asked for NO cheese and it was covered in it). Mine was a "Caesar" in menu name only. A Caesar is a RECIPE. Imagine ordering chicken cordon bleu and getting pork, bacon and cheddar. Or a BLT and getting salami, avocado, and bell peppers. That's what it is like when you order a Caesar and it's not a Caesar. It was that far off of what a Caesar is. Call it an El Patron Chef Salad. Call it a House Salad. But a Caesar doesn't have avocado, tortilla strips (???), red onions and tomatoes. What it does have? Dressing. This one did not and was room temperature. Even with the dressing (which obviously isn't homemade but was serviceable) still not a Caesar. Caesars in good restaurants are on a chilled plate but that's minor (this was frankly out-of-the-dishwasher warm) compared to it NOT BEING a Caesar. Wasn't very busy (we were in the big room with all the slices of trees on the wall) had about five tables and 15-17 people total? Service was pretty slow. The server was very nice, but the fact that I'm having to tell the server that a Caesar is supposed to have Caesar dressing (which they do carry. The kitchen just hadn't put it on anywhere on the salad.) speaks to a lack of training. Salsa was average, but not exceptional. Overall, completely middle of the road. I'm Coloradan and I'm used to amazing Mexican food and this was below average. Hence the three stars. If Yelp had a 1-10 scale it would get a 3 or 4.

Today I wanted something different and inexpensive. I checked Yelp, saw it was right there, and had to talk myself into it because I eat tacos ALL the time... like I'm lowkey taco'd out. But something about authentic tacos on corn from a lil shack like this? They hit different. So I went with my move. I looked at the menu and saw tongue tacos... and that sold me Mind you, I NEVER had tongue before. But I said I wanted something different, so let's stand on that. Pulled up around lunch--about 3 people waiting. There's an option to call ahead too. I waited a few minutes, but they acknowledged me quick, and you could tell they were working, so I wasn't tripping. Ordered 3 tacos: tongue (of course), shredded beef, and pork. Threw in pupusas because why not--it's been years. And a melon juice. Total was about $29, got my number, waited maybe 8-10 minutes. When they handed me the bag... it had a little weight on it I already knew. I ate in my car since there's no real inside seating, and started with the pork taco. Now listen... pork tacos can be DRY. I don't really order them for that reason. But THIS one?? Juicyyyyy. Like juices-on-my-shirt type juicy (I'm too grown for that ). Flavor was there, shredded perfect--they changed my whole outlook on pork tacos. Then I tasted the other two because they looked similar. First one ended up being the tongue... and babyyyy. Tender. Soft. It reminded me of goat--real rich and flavorful. I can't even believe I tried it, let alone LIKED it. I'm officially sold. The beef was good too, but after that tongue taco? It was hard to compete, I'm not even gonna lie. That red salsa? Flavorful with a kick. I love spice... but spice don't always love me back Still worth it. The melon juice started off a little grainy (you can tell it's real fruit), but once it settled, it smoothed out. Super refreshing. Now them pupusas... I did NOT expect two. That's why the bag felt like that Stuffed with meat and cheese, crispy on the outside, soft inside. Came with the pickled cabbage/carrot mix and that tomato-based sauce--everything worked together. Not spicy, just balanced. Only thing I'd note--no prices listed, but for everything I got (plus that big 32oz drink), it was honestly worth it.

We were sat at a table that was very wobbly - I kept worrying my water cup was going to spill. Server brought menus. I was told they did not have lengua or tripas today. So I ordered the barbacoa tacos. My husband ordered the birria burrito and we got loaded fries with al pastor. Server brought out his beer, but didn't bring a bottle opener. Then she brought out chips and salsa bottles, but no dish to put the salsa in. The wine opener and menus stayed on the table the whole time until I handed them back to her when the food arrived. She also did not bring napkins so we grabbed the paper towel roll off of the bar counter top. She did tell us at the end while we were cashing out that she is new. The food itself was really good! I thought the tacos were excellent- the barbacoa was juicy and seasoned well - perfect little street tacos! My husband enjoyed his burrito- it was solid. I ate the other half for dinner later.
