Well 1st off, it stinks in here & the English between the two ladies is Horrible! This is truly a hole in the wall with sticky floors and counters. I got my food to go! It smells like GASOLINE in here. I may give my two carne asada tacos to the homeless & go to a REAL Mexican restaurant. Flies flying around, awe Heck Naw. If this joint wasn't flooded with Katrina......on the next go round.....it needs to be washed ALLLL the way away.

Torta came out cold I ask for a asada torta looks like I got a bean torta barely any mean on it

Food was cold lady on the back was mean I ask for a asada torta looks more like a bean torta barely any meat on it don't recommend at all.

We vowed to go a new taco place... and I'm so glad we did! Chips were yum but the two salsa's that came out warm was fire!! They had multiple Mexican beers and margaritas. My friends had the burrito and the torta. Excellent and super fresh made to order. I had the pastor w/ pineapple quesadilla and I was in heaven with the side or crema & added the green sauce... please do not sleep on this lil joint in a plaza! Servers were so sweet and it was tiny inside but the food was bomb. (Even got 4 tacos to go) We will be back!

I can never get a picture of my food because I'm too busy stuffing my face! So this is a small mom and pop type spot...nothing fancy on the inside BUT the food is bomb!! Best birria in the city! Authentic! Shell done perfectly and still has that crunch....imagine getting home and your shell hasn't sweated in the box and become soft! This is it! They also have fish and shrimp now but I'm not sure if that's just for lent or not but it's good. The homemade hibiscus tea is delicious and she'll throw you a nice chunk of ice in there. Imagine the ice your grandma would freeze from water in a cup during a the summer time but it's the actual tea so your drink isn't watered down. And they're super friendly and always make me feel welcome.

Rice & beans - touch spicy and very yummy!

Lovely owner! Explained the menu perfectly. Small location, mostly 2 seat tables, but lots of natural light. Working location so definitely casual. While we were there, "regulars" arrived, as well as a group of high school boys who were obviously familiar with the menu, so they keep bringing them back. :) Husband & I split the bisteca torta (dressed), chicken quesadilla and rice & beans. We turned down the offer to refill the chips and salsa, even though they were really tasty. The quesadilla caught my husband off guard because it is made with chunks (not shredded) chicken, and some of it is dark meat - not his favorite - but it was plentiful and filling. The torta was very good, though we didn't use the dipping sauce. It didn't hit any taste buttons for us. But the meat was good and there was plenty of mayo, lettuce & tomato. My fav of all was the rice and beans. SUPER flavor with a kick, and I love they came in the same bowl. Nothing seems to be served as a plate - all a la carte - but still reasonably priced. Husband even had the 2-for-1 margaritas for $5, I think, and he said they packed a punch. Will definitely return when authentic Mexican is requested.

The tacos are cheap and absolutely a 20/10!! Seasoned, cooked and cut properly! That speaks volumes to what is offered in the general area. $3 tacos. Beer and tequila selection, no margaritas. We will definitely be back! The employees are super friendly and expedient as well!

I read some good reviews about this place, so I thought I'd give it a try. Little place in a strip mall. Maybe 4 tables and a counter for dining in. Friendly, smiley staff. THE FOOD: I ordered guacamole and 4 tacos with various meats. The guacamole was REALLY good. Not shy about using Cilantro, a little jalapeno, really delicious! Barbacoa, carnitas and barría tacos were just fantastic and had a little au jus on the side which added so much flavor. A little out of the way, but worth it!

This is hands down the best authentic taco spot in New Orleans if not the state of Louisiana. You are treated with a home family oriented welcome and treated to the best mexican food you will ever eat. I could literally eat here everyday. I always stop by when I am on the westbank. Angie is the sweetest and you can tell the food is made with love. If you want a out of this world experience, you need to check this amazing s

Been waiting to try this place for the longest after coming back from Mexico City! The owner/chef/cashier is so nice and sweet! It was my first time here and he made me feel so welcome. This place has authentic tacos for really affordable prices. 2.75 each. I love supporting small businesses and this one is really worth supporting! There are some dining tables here but I took it Togo. I got the carnitas, barbacoa and al pastor tacos. I will definitely come back! They are on the smaller side but I don't mind because they were so good and make from the heart. Don't come here expecting some *unauthentic fancy tacos!

I have been to Taqueria 2 Brothers multiple times and I've been blown away every time. This restaurant might have the most authentic Mexican food in the area. Everything is made fresh to order and is always delcicious. The last time I was here I had the al pastor quesadilla, which was perfect. I love that the prices are good and, although the restaurant is small, it's welcoming. Today I wanted something different and inexpensive. I checked Yelp, saw it was right there, and had to talk myself into it because I eat tacos ALL the time... like I'm lowkey taco'd out. But something about authentic tacos on corn from a lil shack like this? They hit different. So I went with my move. I looked at the menu and saw tongue tacos... and that sold me Mind you, I NEVER had tongue before. But I said I wanted something different, so let's stand on that. Pulled up around lunch--about 3 people waiting. There's an option to call ahead too. I waited a few minutes, but they acknowledged me quick, and you could tell they were working, so I wasn't tripping. Ordered 3 tacos: tongue (of course), shredded beef, and pork. Threw in pupusas because why not--it's been years. And a melon juice. Total was about $29, got my number, waited maybe 8-10 minutes. When they handed me the bag... it had a little weight on it I already knew. I ate in my car since there's no real inside seating, and started with the pork taco. Now listen... pork tacos can be DRY. I don't really order them for that reason. But THIS one?? Juicyyyyy. Like juices-on-my-shirt type juicy (I'm too grown for that ). Flavor was there, shredded perfect--they changed my whole outlook on pork tacos. Then I tasted the other two because they looked similar. First one ended up being the tongue... and babyyyy. Tender. Soft. It reminded me of goat--real rich and flavorful. I can't even believe I tried it, let alone LIKED it. I'm officially sold. The beef was good too, but after that tongue taco? It was hard to compete, I'm not even gonna lie. That red salsa? Flavorful with a kick. I love spice... but spice don't always love me back Still worth it. The melon juice started off a little grainy (you can tell it's real fruit), but once it settled, it smoothed out. Super refreshing. Now them pupusas... I did NOT expect two. That's why the bag felt like that Stuffed with meat and cheese, crispy on the outside, soft inside. Came with the pickled cabbage/carrot mix and that tomato-based sauce--everything worked together. Not spicy, just balanced. Only thing I'd note--no prices listed, but for everything I got (plus that big 32oz drink), it was honestly worth it.

It features a great margarita garden with outdoor dining and takeout options. A quick heads-up: expect a line, and the outdoor waiting area has absolutely no shade. Fortunately, the ordering counter is well-covered, and the patio is equipped with fans and a good mix of shaded seating to help you beat the heat. On to the food. Every taco is served on a fresh flour tortilla and paired with classic cilantro, onion, and lime. I tried the Crispy Fish and the Pork tacos, and the flavor profiles were distinct. The fish taco featured a great crunch from the beer-battered Louisiana catfish, balanced by shredded cabbage, homemade crema, a seriously spicy salsa macha, and sweet pops of pomegranate. However, the pork taco was the best of the two, packed with savory roasted pork, chicharrones, tangy pickled red onion, and a great green salsa on the side. I have pretty high standards for tacos, and while I've had better, Barracuda definitely delivers an enjoyable meal in a city where great taquerias can be hard to find.

Large waiting area to stand and wait near the hostess station. Also has a bar area which looks like first come, first serve. We ordered drinks while we waited and hung out in the lobby area. Finally we were sat. Complimentary chips and salsa were brought right away. We Ordered drinks and the chorizo queso, which came fairly quickly. The queso is HOT, bubbling in a volcanic rock molcajete. Sooo good. Strongly suggest this item! I ordered the Tacos Tijuana (lengua). My husband ordered grilled fish tacos and an ala carte cheese quesadilla. The food was great. Lengua was a little dry- I know it's lean but it was not as juicy and gamey as I like. No other complaints except the guacamole that came with my tacos tasted artificial or "off". It also stayed very green throughout the meal which tells me there is either a lot of lemon or it is premade with something to make it not oxidate like fresh avocados. It was just not great guacamole. The frijoles charro on the other hand were excellent! Lots of flavor, pork, cooked nicely and seasoned well. I could eat that by itself. I will for sure be back.

Hate the plastic glasses, but at least get the drink cold. COLD. An on-the-rocks margarita is not supposed to be lukewarm. This was. I strained into my water glass and added ice, let it cool, and poured it back in the margarita glass. There were three of us and two of our three orders came out wrong (one specifically asked for NO cheese and it was covered in it). Mine was a "Caesar" in menu name only. A Caesar is a RECIPE. Imagine ordering chicken cordon bleu and getting pork, bacon and cheddar. Or a BLT and getting salami, avocado, and bell peppers. That's what it is like when you order a Caesar and it's not a Caesar. It was that far off of what a Caesar is. Call it an El Patron Chef Salad. Call it a House Salad. But a Caesar doesn't have avocado, tortilla strips (???), red onions and tomatoes. What it does have? Dressing. This one did not and was room temperature. Even with the dressing (which obviously isn't homemade but was serviceable) still not a Caesar. Caesars in good restaurants are on a chilled plate but that's minor (this was frankly out-of-the-dishwasher warm) compared to it NOT BEING a Caesar. Wasn't very busy (we were in the big room with all the slices of trees on the wall) had about five tables and 15-17 people total? Service was pretty slow. The server was very nice, but the fact that I'm having to tell the server that a Caesar is supposed to have Caesar dressing (which they do carry. The kitchen just hadn't put it on anywhere on the salad.) speaks to a lack of training. Salsa was average, but not exceptional. Overall, completely middle of the road. I'm Coloradan and I'm used to amazing Mexican food and this was below average. Hence the three stars. If Yelp had a 1-10 scale it would get a 3 or 4.
