Ok We came to try fried chicken at the Gordonsville Fried Chicken Festival - that was a bust 2 hour line to get to order the signature food - Gordonsville now least favorite city named after Gordon. Stopped at strip mall Mexican place and were rewarded. Service was friendly and quick. Food tremendous - I hate chorizo in my tacos and may be as good as I've had. A HIDDEN GEM! Whether local or visiting from out of town- this place is fantastic! The meat is well seasoned, and all of the food tasted fresh and light. Although this is more of an order to go place, there is indoor and outdoor seating. The woman working was beyond kind and made our food exactly as asked. Los Tres Hemanitos, oooo, myyyyy goodness, wow. We stopped by yesterday during COVID19 just for pick up and we had no idea what to expect as we were visiting from out of town (shout out to Shenandoah Crossing and Bluegreen Vacation). We just wanted Mexican and this is about it in town. The price is amazing: Tacos: $2.40 Sope: $4.50 Gordita: $4.50 And everything else was pretty much under $5 too accept for a burrito or quesadilla. They have all kinds of meats, asada, chorizo, al pastor, chicken, carnitas, campechanos as well. We were thinking nexuses things didn't cost much it wouldn't be much so we got a taco here or a side of chips and salsa, big big mistake. The Gordita and Sope were plenty big and the asada so so tasty. What I loved the most was the Gordita and I the crunchy texture of the tortilla, not like a crunchy taco texture, it was amazing, hard to describe but try please, you'll love it. The quesadilla was stuffed like you wouldn't believe and so very good. Great salsa, chips were splendid and we will for sure be going back. For 4 of us and those extra purchase we only $25.00, without those extra things it would have been $20.00, so it's a bargain of a deal. And yeah, it's a local, it's nothing fancy, but the food is incredible. You'll come back for sure for more. It's so joke when it comes to taste, every bite was full of mouth watering goodness. Hispanic food is my favorite, especially tacos during the warm months. Naturally I was excited to try los Tres Hermanitos but it did not live up.. I got chicken tacos w/ cilantro & onion and rice with guacamole. Tacos and rice were flavorless, green salsa tasted more like acidic lime juice with salt, however the guacamole was surprisingly very good and aided flavor throughout the meal. I told the woman at the front, she went in to look then made a face and came out. She took 3 phone orders and left me standing in front of her. Absolutely delicious! Stopped on our way to the wineries. $26 for 2 gorditas, guacamole, chips, 2 tacos, and 1 Sopes. We could have ordered half the amount of food and the 2 of us would have been full. Be prepared to wait for them to prepare everything to order (including fresh making the tortillas!). Picked up food to go to take back to local brewery. The two ladies working were extremely friendly, but the wait was almost 30 minutes for two tacos and a torta sandwich. The tacos were okay, served with 2 four tortillas (I prefer corn) and were bland. I didn't specify what to put on them, but figured they would come with some type of salsa in addition to lettuce, tomato, cheese, and sour cream. Out of the two, the chicken was the better one (the meat itself had a little seasoning). My husband ate his steak torta, but didn't say much about it (which leads me to believe it was just okay as well). The food was reasonable priced and has potential as the meat was tender and not fatty, but they need to serve things with salsa on the side or something to add flavor that I can't create at home on a taco night. read more

My husband and I stayed at a place nearby and found this restaurant on Yelp. We had called ahead and all we got were the chorizo nachos. Drove an hour to try this place. Walked in to see 3 guys without masks waiting for their food and one lady working alone behind the counter. Alright, we can still try to make this work. We're waiting a while as she's preparing their food. Then as she's ringing one of the maskless morons up, she handles the cash he gives her with the same gloves she uses to cook. If I could score this lower than the one I would. This was by far the worst experience I have had anywhere. We waited over well over an hour and half with only 2 other orders ahead of us. They ran out of part of the food ordered and got ugly when we asked for the money back on food that was not given that was paid for. Being native to Gordonsville I have seen a lot of restaurants come and go where this business is located. I REALLY HOPE Los Tres Hermanitos is here to stay. I ordered a steak gordita, guac, and queso. It was delicious and only 12 bucks. The women cooked my order as soon as I ordered so it was piping hot. I can not wait to go again.
