Over clean location and a friendly treating at the door. A very friendly server brought us fresh tortilla chips and salsa. While I did not love the flavor, it was flavorful and not terribly runny. We ordered the Botana sampler as an appetizer and it was pretty good. I do wish the stems would have been removed, the jalapeños would have been hotter. Most common complaint I have with EVERY Mexican restaurant in Virginia, why does your queso have to be so runny? I ordered the fajitas Texanas and my wife ordered the carne asada. My fajitas were perfect, very flavorful. The only thing I would change, would be more veggies. My wife's carne was pretty good as well. The only knock, why would you put a pickled jalapeño and not a grilled? Also, nobody offered me any damned ice cream...they could probably tell from my clean plate, that it was not needed. read more

While in the area visiting the Madison estate, we came across this restaurant in the same location as a former lobster restaurant. For a late lunch around 1:30PM, we were surprised to find no one else in the restaurant. However, after we were seated another three parties took other tables at around the same time. The one waiter had his challenges dealing with all the tables at the same time, but he handled the pressure well and everyone seemed appreciative of his attentive service. The food was good and the guacamole dip tasted great and seemed to be fresh made. But one enchilada was a bit tough and seemed to be overcooked. Hence only four stars. read more

We went there on Valentine's Day so it's probably not fair to say the service was slow, but, it was. I'd been attracted by the tamales, which is something I always liked but haven't had since I was a kid, and a review praised them. I ordered two salads one was wrong. I called in my order and was told that it would be 30 to 35 minutes. It ended up being an hour. After 40 minutes I was kept being told five more minutes. Two of the Spanish-speaking employees did not know I knew Spanish And stated that my order was ready 10 minutes ago. This is the fourth time that this is happened to me. So I had time today to download Yelp!!!!!! I call back to speak with the manager, and they took no accountability for the service but wanted me to understand that they had a big party of 25. That had nothing to do with my order.. so I'm guessing when they have big parties it doesn't matter if the order is called in. So, expect your order to be wrong. Delicious! I've been trying to find new restaurants in an effort to be adventurous. Since I went to Orange to get a COVID booster I figured I'd pick a place there that was off the beaten path. I ordered huevos rancheros and the sauces they put on top really upped the flavor value of the dish. The service was good and prices affordable. Well I stopped to check out this place and what a surprise it was. I ordered the Pollo Von Crema, which didn't have the appearance I expected, but it was wonderful. They bring you chips and salsa as well as a creamy salsa that is amazing and highly addictive. The staff are pleasant and attentive and my food came out pretty fast. I ordered flan for dessert, and it was obviously house made and really good. They currently don't have a liquor license, but they have applied and expect it soon. I highly recommend stopping here and trying it out for yourself. I don't think it will disappoint. read more

Four of us stopped in Friday night and I was impressed. Warm chips and delicious cool salsa was quickly brought to our table and devoured. More was offered and accepted. We came here from Fredericksburg on a recommendation. While the food was okay the service was soooooooo bad. Every table around us had an attentive server. We saw ours maybe twice. Took her more than 20 minutes to even greet us. When we were done it was another 30 until she brought us the check. The place wasn't crowded and there was plenty of staff. My daughter and I went last night for the first time after reading a friends favorable review on Facebook. I didn't realize there was a Tex Mex restaurant in Orange. My only other experience with a Tex Mex restaurant was great so I was hoping this would be too. The inside of the restaurant has had a pleasant face lift since last I had been in it years ago when it was something different. We were seated in a booth and were served chips, salsa, and a ranch dipping sauce. We had a most attentive waitress during our visit. I ordered the chimichangas and they were really good covered in a white creamy cheese. I got one ground beef and one chicken. I'm glad they have the option to try both and I'm also glad they have the ground beef option because some places don't. The chicken and ground beef were so flavorful (seasoned well) and just like I had hoped to find again and I was delighted. I don't normally care for rice and beans but the beans were actually really tasty and I ate them all. I honestly wish there was more meat in the chimichangas because I had a few bites of each that had no meat and that was disappointing. I am usually a person who normally gets full quickly and takes food home every time I go out. I ate everything and couldn't help thinking someone else may not get full on that meal so I would perhaps keep that in mind. read more

Skip. Came here for a casual dinner after a lovely girls day winery tour. It was nearly empty on Saturday night and now we know why. Chips were stale, queso and salsa were 100 percent watered down. My el pastor tacos with steak, chorizo, and grilled pineapple (supreme style) were fine. Friend got enchiladas, said they were fine. Our food came out so quick though it made us wonder, but we didn't complain because we got to leave sooner. They give you free fried ice cream in exchange for a good review which is why I'm convinced they have so many stars. No amount of free fried ice cream is worth it, go elsewhere. read more

Food is always great. Service has gone WAY down hill recently. I'm willing to write off bad service one time as an "off day" or "short-staffing", but not twice. Two times in the past two weeks we had the same server. She ignored us and kept helping other tables both times. The first time, we actually got chips, salsa, and drinks before she forgot about us and we walked out. Second time, she never even came to take our drink order and kept helping other tables. So we walked out again. That kind of service is inexcusable, and we won't be back. read more

Loved this place! We were checking out different wedding venues in the area and stumbled upon this sweet spot. We had Kiana as our server and she rocked! The waiters are extremely kind and they always enhance the dining experience. Now for the best part, the food. If you haven't dined here, the food speaks for itself. It can only be described as exceptional. Over the course of opening day, I'd say I've tried the vast majority of the food here, and I've never once been disappointed. The food is extremely fresh and reflects authentic style Mexican food perfectly. My mouth is watering as I'm writing this review just thinking about eating it. What a lovely place in Orange and so appropriately named, La Naranja! The staff and service? Great! and the young owners most gracious. The food was delicious, especially the guacamole which is what was calling me as I drove down Constitution Highway. Orange is also a lovely town, so it is well worth the trip to check out this new restaurant. Inside it is very comfortable and spacious, suitable for a big event or a cozy luncheon with an outdoor spot outback. And I noticed that "futbol" was on in the bar. From the first look at the menu I was super excited to try this place out and the first opportunity actually ended up ordering food to go! My co-worker and I ordered food to eat during a work event and I was beyond impressed when I saw the feast that had been prepared! Everything was so well packed and the food was AMAZING! I had the carnitas and the meat was so flavorful and juicy and well cooked that I could not stop eating it! The guacamole was super fresh and chunky making a delicious paring with the chips. And the churros were simply delicious, a perfect sweet treat! After such a great experience we took our other co-workers to lunch and the in person experience was just as great! Our service was satisfactory and there was no wait on a Saturday night. These are our only positive notes from our dining experience. It appears the salsa and queso were watered down. Since this Mexican restaurant opened up, I have been about 5 times. I order something new every time, and I'm always satisfied. The ACP, Chori pollo, and avocado Chicken salad are incredible.
