Well groomed trees and easy to navigate terrain as you walk and look for the perfect tree. Firs and pines are intermixed instead of grown in separate areas. Reasonable prices and the opportunity to support a small, family-run business. Bring your own rope/twine if you plan to bring your tree home on the top of your car. Pretty cool place! They have very handsome trees of all varieties and stages. They also have a range of prices that are clearly marked... We like our tree Charlie Brown esk' so we found a great discount one. Also I would like to give a special shout out to the worker who open-carried their pistol! Beautiful trees, well groomed. We found a 10 1/2 foot white pine. Reasonable prices, nice people. Bring rope or bungee cords to take your tree hime on top of your car. Get some honey, too. It's delicious! read more

We have went here the last 4/5 years to get our Christmas tree! We love it and the employees are so sweet!

CASH/CHECK only. I've bought my last two Christmas trees at Lost Forty. It's a you-pick set-up, but they do provide the handsaws and shaker service for free, as well as netting for a couple $$ extra. They have an excellent selection of pine, spruce, and fir trees - my only gripe about the place is that it can be difficult to ID the tree type, and the informational sheet they give you is not all that helpful. This season, pine trees were a flat $50 while other varieties were priced per foot ($10/ft, I believe), and we ended up with a Norway Spruce when we thought we were cutting down a different variety, but the tree is beautiful. read more

Christmas Traditions start here!!! We have been coming here for many many many years:) I was so pleased this year that they were able to take cards( with chip reader) as well as cash and checks:). Also, their prices have been the same for a few years! if i could give this place 0 stars I absolutely would! Came with my husband and son and photographer to take photos and to look at some christmas trees. The christmas tree selection is pathetic and the trees are extremely small for the price. As for the photos and the photographer, we considered several locations and most of them required appointments or asked that we come on a weekday. When finding this place no where on it's website or facebook page about scheduling for photos. looking back we should have called but that is besides the point of this review. We had just set up and took maybe 5 photos when a gentleman, i'm assuming the owner, came up and asked who we were and what we were doing. Our photographer so kindly told him her name and explained what we were doing. This guy then proceeded to tell us that we were trespassing on private property (there are NO signs anywhere stating private property) and that we weren't allowed to be there without paying. He then demanded that he take her film. She tried to explain that it's a digital camera and she can't hand over that copy but she would delete the photos. He then told her she needed to hand over her camera and that he would call the sheriff. Again she tried to reason with him and told him she would delete the photos while he watched and that we would leave. This apparently wasn't good enough for him so he stormed off saying he was going to call the sheriff. Our sweet photographer is just starting her business and was so upset by how this guy was handling things and how he wouldn't even listen and let her explain and try and make things right. She ran after him, profusely apologizing and deleted all the photos while he stood there. we will be taking our business elsewhere and will absolutely tell everyone we know to never do business this establishment. We understood where we went wrong and we tried to make things right, but the owner was instant on being an ass. read more

This was our first year creating a tradition of chopping our own Christmas tree. The owners are so friendly and explained the differences between the trees. They provide a hand saw if you need one, but you can bring your own or a chainsaw. They shake the tree and even bail the tree at no additional charge. We had so much fun taking our two littles. They even gave them each a candy cane and a coloring book. We will definitely be back next year!! Oh and they do take credit cards :) read more

Our tree is completely dead, nearly to the point of replacement a few days before Christmas. We have been here before with luck, not sure what happened with this tree but it has been watered regularly and we purchased two days after Thanksgiving as we typically do. Great concept to cut your own tree down, but if it's dead the idea falls way short. read more
