From the customer service we received before ever showing up to the clear and concise instructions prior to launch, and the expert leadership on the water, all of it culminated into a confident and absolutely exhilarating trip for our entire family. The anxious hesitation some of us arrived with was soon washed away by Lawrence who was an amazing guide. His expertise and leadership which was blended with a quiet confidence and deeply personal approach immediately made us all feel like he was a close friend of the family. Shout out to Lawrence! You're the man! As for the time on the water, the scenery is something you will never forget. From the wildlife, the towering Gorge walls, the passing train along the ridge, and every approaching rapid it all leaves a visual impression that you will be hard pressed to forget. Some rapids were more challenging than others, but I would encourage you to always stay locked in as I let my guard down on a low level rapid and almost went overboard. Speaking of overboard, one of our favorite parts of the trip was the swimming part of the trip. Our whole outfit pulled over, and we were allowed to take a refreshing dip in the river. Climbing onto the bank and taking a plunge from a natural high dive, otherwise known as a giant rock hovering the river. What a great time! Don't sleep on the pictures offered at the end of the trip. They are worth every penny! And be sure to grab some Lost Paddle Rafting souvenirs before you leave. They have a great selection of stickers for your cooler, hats, t-shirts, and hoodies. We ended up in Bighorn because of water levels in the Gorge and hopefully we can go back next year because that is what my daughter wants to do. We had Kelly and Trent. It was his first day on the Colorado as Clear Creek is all but closed as well because of the drought. We got to swim and push my daughter out of the boat and a splash battle with the other boats. Just went on our first ever whitewater rafting trip through Lost Paddle and it way exceeded my expectations! The river was very low so we got stuck a lot, but they are very knowledgeable and know exactly how to get unstuck safely. They give you an easy to understand safety briefing before you're on the water too, which we very much appreciated as beginners. At one point, they make a stop behind a giant rock where the current doesn't flow and let you get out and swim around, which in the blaring summer heat and sun is a very nice break! Of all the companies on that river, at the time of our trip they are the smallest, and they absolutely deserve more business to stay afloat (literally). Lost Paddle is great. The Arkansas river was relatively high, so the river was flowing really well. We had such a great time. Our guide, Anna, did a great job of navigating the river and answering questions. Even gave some awful jokes on the drive home. Loved it. Everyone was so friendly and actually seemed like they wanted to take us down the river. That isn't always the case. Also, at the beginning of the float we were treated to a small herd of Rocky Mountain Sheep. Overall just a great day. I highly recommend them. read more

We took the Big Horn half-day rafting trip today. Our family was two adults, 17 yo boy, a 15 yo boy, a 13 yo boy, and a 10 yo girl. All were without rafting experience. We had an AMAZING TIME!!! These guys are a small company with lots of terrific customer service. Everyone was terrific!! No doubt this is the best company on the river. Blake was a wonderful guide. He taught us everything we needed to know about paddling, gave us lots of interesting facts about the river, and was funny! Blake was super knowledgeable and we knew we were in good hands. We plan to come back to do the gorge trip asap and we will be sure to ask for Blake as our guide. Dan, the bus driver, was a safe and skilled driver. The day could not have been better. read more

Had an awesome time on the bike tour! We did the phantom canyon tour which was 14 miles downhill, beautiful scenery! Spencer was our guide and he was really informative about the history and let us go as fast or slow as we wanted to throughout the ride and stop anytime we wanted to take a picture. Our driver Tanya was fantastic too!! Very personable and we enjoyed the conversation the whole way up in the van. Typically they require you to have at least 4 people for the tour but made an exception for my mom and I. Would definitely recommend! read more

Best rafting company in the area. We stopped on our way to a wedding in Aspen. Friendly small business, that provided a great trip. The other big companies costed more and pulled the boats out a mile earlier than us. We got in a couple more rapids and got to float to downtown. We definitely would book with them again. Small company that makes your trip worth your money! Blake was an amazing guide down the Royal Gorge, had fun but he kept us safe as he was very experienced. Jumping off the cliff into the river was an awesome experience, you really get a feel of a powerful of a small current. We watched another company, come in to jump from the cliff and they gave their customers no guidance. We watched an older guys life vest go over is head, before we jumped in ours were tightened again by the guide and they gave us directions on wear to swim through the current. They make it a very personal trip, and we were lucky to go during high waters to enjoy the ride! If your going to go whitewater rafting pick Lost Paddle!! read more

Just got done with the royal Gorge overnight! The whole process was amazing! From the beginning Jim & Kelly responded to all of the groups questions that day or the next. Drove in from Texas the day before, hotels to stay at in Canon City. Our guide Derrick was awesome at EVERYTHING i.e: guiding, cooking (breakfast & dinner!), knowledge of history of the Arkansas river. I would definitely do rafting with Lost Paddle again! Great rafting trip with experienced guides. A little more laid back with smaller groups which is nice compared to big companies that seem crowded. I took my wife and two kids. The guide was really good about giving instructions and safety precautions. We didnt tip over and no one fell in, though that can always happen. A few tips: *wear bug repellant *have a towel in the car to dry off after the trip *have a wet shirt that can dry easily. read more

We went on our very first white water raft trip today with Lost Paddles and it was awesome!! The lady who booked us over the phone was informative and super nice. Once checked in we got suited out in wetsuits and splash jackets, the staff all very helpful! Our guide was Blake and he was awesome! The trip was incredible! Fun, beautiful scenery but mostly adrenalin packed and exciting! We lucked out and had the boat to just my husband and I along with the guide and two guides in training, all fantastic.
