In town for a visit, stopped by Lost Pizza because of a friend's recommendation. Clean with a funky vibe. You go up to the bar and order then grab a seat. I ordered the thin crust "Beekeeper" and my wife built her own. We grabbed the small, individual sizes. Got our drinks and grabbed a seat. Plenty of TVs and nice music, sort of a sports bar type feel. Pizza came out fairly quickly. Not super thin, but a light cracker type crust. Cupping pepperoni was crisp and flavorful. Cheese was smooth and rich. Honey drizzle gave a hint of sweet. Basil should have been placed after the cook but was still good. Undercarriage was a little light but still crisp. My wife got the Alfredo base with pepperoni and pineapple. Her words "I have found my new favorite pizza place!" Pizza felt like a mix between New York and Bar style. Both pizzas were great, only complaint was I should have gotten a medium. For dessert we grabbed the chocolate chip cookie with vanilla ice cream and drizzled with chocolate and caramel. Very good. Not over cooked, still gooey in the middle! Overall excellent meal! Will be back! read more

The beekeeper is outstanding. It might be the best pizza I've ever had. I got the spinach dip to-go though and I seriously thought it was a joke when I opened it up. The container they use for the to-go surely cannot be the same size as if you order in store. Surely not. I'm still not sure it wasn't a joke. $10 for a 5x6 inch aluminum tray filled one-quarter of the way full and missing cheese on top? Maybe just stick to pizza if you get a to-go. read more

This review is strictly for the gluten free people! Let me tell you this GF cauliflower crust is the very best I've ever had! The mozzarella is so fresh and tangy. I got grilled chicken and Alfredo sauce. If you have an allergy just know the Alfredo has a small amount of flour but since I just have gluten sensitivity I tolerated it just fine. But their other sauces are gluten-friendly for my celiac peeps. My husband got a pepperoni pizza and he said it was excellent too. Cute little place with casual atmosphere and cool decor. While visiting Florence, we were looking for a restaurant that allowed dogs. They have a very nice outside patio where we were able to sit with our pups. They even brought them out fresh water a few times. We ordered a large Caesar salad and a large beekeeper. Both were amazing! The dressing for the salad was very flavorful and it came on the side. It was plenty and tasted delicious with pizza crust too. The thin pizza crust is the way to go! It's kinda flakey like a croissant while being sturdy. Love the fun decor in this restaurant. Lots of yummy, fresh food choices. My kiddos enjoyed the kid's pizza and my oldest had the full size fettuccine alfredo; it was a large amount and I wish we would had ordered him the kid's size. The homemade chips that come with the sandwiches are amazing. Also really good homemade ranch. We ordered a medium pizza, my half was supposed to be a Margarita pizza. We also ordered two beers. My draft beer was picked up at the bar by my husband, who said the young female bartender did not saw one word to him, just handed him the beer. My margarita pizza was swimming in olive oil, actually drowning. Not one fresh slice of tomato, just watery tomato sauce. I was so hungry, I ate the 4 small slices that come with half a medium (split) & I was still hungry. No servers anywhere; if so none come over to ask if everything was good. While in Florence, AL we ate at Lost Pizza twice. We had never eaten there, but after our first time- we had to back for a second time. On our first visit we had a pizza with fresh spinach and tomatoes. It was very good. On our second visit we had spaghetti... my husband had meatballs, and I just had marinara sauce. I've been 3-4 times and each time has been great. Funky atmosphere with a good pizza/pasta/sandwich/salad menu. The fried ravioli, cheese dip, and boneless wings appetizers have all been good. Olive bread was ok. The Greek salad is good, but I wish they had used feta cheese instead of goat cheese. The kujo, el Diablo, pepperoni, and the Lucille pizzas have all been good. Baked spaghetti and spaghetti with meatballs are ok. Also heard the strawberry fields dessert pizza is delicious and "tastes like a strawberry toaster strudel." Haven't tried the sandwiches yet, but these are just a few of the things my family has ordered the times we have visited. Overall, we love it. Food was. excellent. Service is terrible. Had Large house salad, Delta Melt Sandwich abd small pinapple and italian sausage pizza. All were well made and excellent. We would go back for the food. But if we go back we do not leave a tip when you order your food. First time in downtown Florence. Were seeing a concert at the Shoals Theater Lost Pizza is across the street so we decided to try it. Not having been there before we did not know the ordering or seating. Lost Pizza does not have servers, they have people who are supposed to bring your food to the table and apparently nothing else (or if they know you). And we were not alone in this. Since we were not greeted at the door we asked if we were to seat anywhere. We were told to order at the counter. Our question was never answered, so after we ordered we wandered around trying to figure out where to sit. So you order at the counter and pay when you order. The tip pops up before you tap your card and of couse 15% is first shown. You have to fill your own drinks and order your food at the counter so 15% is to high but l pay for good service so not knowing any better l paid it. Nothing was said about where to sit or where to find the soda fountain. Also my wife wanted water and there was no water at the soda fountain and the counter person did not tell us where was the water. We found a table outside. You are given a number so the "server" can find you. We were not told where to put the number so the "server" can see it but looking at other customers we saw the place to out it. Our food was brought out and the person never came to our table again. She came to the area to bring food to other tables and clean tables but never asked if we needed anything or how was our food. The was the same for the other tables. We had to ask the person at the "bar" window for a to go box. And we had to wait on the togo box because she had customers show up for drinks. Nobody said thank you or have a good day on our way out. So if you are a friend or a regular customer, I am sure you have a good experience. If you are a first timer, leave a tip (if one is earned) at the table. read more
