Worst meal I have ever had. You would think with a name like "Taziki's" they could make a good gyro, WITH a GOOD taziki sauce.

Food was excellent and the quantity was good. Recommend the pita & Humus and the chicken.

My Sister and I tried Taziki for the first time. We like the food and freshness. Salmon and Lamb were very good. Plenty of fresh food to eat. You have to order and pay at the counter which was harder with our disabilities. (Hence 4 Stars) They do bring the food to your table. We had the Baklava too, but found it a little sweet for us. Husband & I ordered something we had never ordered before. Tender Beef Sandwich & Tender Steak with vegetables. Both of us were very delighted with how tender & flavorful the beef really tasted. My Tender Beef Sandwich also had grilled onions covered with light Swiss cheese melted and covering the top of the moist tender beef. This was on top of the most tender & fresh bun I have ever had on a sandwich. Honestly. I was impressed with the entire sandwich. My husband had the Tender Steak Dinner meal. The salad was fresh, Grilled vegetables were crisp tender. Neither of us wanted the soup this day so we declined. But we thoroughly enjoyed our to go meals. I am writing this review because we usually get other Mediterranean food from Tadziki's. We also had the Feta cheese with Honey & pita 2 ways. Very delicious. I just had curbside pickup from Taziki's that was everything that I hoped for, and more. I had the Mediterranean Salad with grilled chicken and balsamic dressing (I could drink that stuff). The salad was plenty enough food for a meal in itself, but I also had a side of the grilled veggies, which were very tasty. Overall, I am satisfied and feeling good about eating super fresh, real food. There's not many places in the Shoals where you can get a healthy meal that quickly for that price! They seemed to be taking recommended precautions, and I plan to return very soon. read more

This is our third trip to Taziki's. Each time we have enjoyed the food. Everything tastes fresh and flavorful. The employees are very friendly, and the restaurant is exceptionally clean. My only complaint is a little weird. The seating is cute but very uncomfortable. They have bench seating where your legs cannot go comfortably under the table. I am not a large person, but when I say there, I had to get up and move. Even their regular tables seem to be to thick. You are forced to sit with your feet flat on the floor. I know, it's weird to me too! Otherwise, cute clean and tasty place to grab a quick meal. read more

Food was great, but I ate inside and had to bear witness to back practices. It said the manager on duty was Preston. I'm assuming the heavy set long dark haired woman was her by the way the other workers didnt say anything to what she was doing and she was the only one without her hair tied up near the food. Well as she talked on her cell phone by the food assembly counter she had a spoon in the other hand and was tasting food that was in the serving tubs on the counter. She then got off her cell phone wiped her nose twice with her hand stepped further left to another food tub and that tub must have had something hot because not only did she blow on the spoon of food she had, but proceeds to eat the food over the tub of food. This was 12/26 between 6:15-6:30pm. Even if there are no customers in line for remember some of us watch what food service places do when they think your not looking. Shame on you Preston that is not good leadership and I will not eat there again. Best practices are the best practice. read more

Food seemed to be mainly Greek type food. I had heard about the potato's and that they were really great. I thought they were just ok. I had the lamb feast. It was pretty good. There wasn't that much lamb. A lot of salad etc. Overall I thought this one was just ok. I probably wouldn't go back - there are just better choices around. read more

great food to begin with. my mom and me went there last night right before they closed, we didnt look up what time they closed and when i realized we were the only two in there, i found out that they closed in 10 minutes. with that info, i let my mom know and we picked up the pace, not wanting to be "those customers". we finished right before 9pm and we apologized to the manager and we told him how much we loved the food. he was very understanding and let us know that it was not a problem and even gave us coupons. love this place and love the people! read more

Tried this place for the first time and it was our anniversary. Ordered my daughter a Gyro with grilled chicken, chips, and fruit. My wife got the 'Chicken feast' and I got the 'Steak Feast.' A feast it was not but of all the meals, it looks like mine was the one unfit to eat. I was served 3 pieces of beef barely larger than a silver dollar along with a Greek salad and Basmati Rice. Salad and rice were good. The beef was not. It was bitter and other than that, no real flavor at all. It wasn't burnt but it was bitter as if it had been charred. We dropped over $40 on this meal and was disappointed. This restaurant gets 3 stars only because the owner operator reached out to us, as he should have, and apologized for the meal. He explained grill must've not been clean causing the meat to get the bitter flavor it had. He handed me a card for a free meal but not sure I'll use it since I really wasn't impressed with what was okay. May try again much later to see if it improves. Edit: Used the free meal card. It was worse than the last visit. SMH. read more

A Greek "inspired" restaurant. A long time staple from Birmingham where there is a sizable Greek and Mediterranean population that know not to eat there. The Florence location is consistently good but not spectacular. When ordering from their online menu was told they didn't have dolmas (grape stuffed grape leaves) because they were trying to get away from Greek food. I was perplexed. Ordered their hummus as a starter only to receive a bowl that was the consistency of a thin, melted milkshake rather than the thick, cumin, lemon flavored chickpea paste you'd expect. Which told me whoever had prepared it had no idea what it was supposed to taste or look like. If you're expecting lemon, mint, garlic and oregano flavors that are so dominant in Greek food this is not that place. If you're expecting mildly seasoned food this is not that place but if you want pedestrian, safe interpretations of traditional Greek food this still probably isn't the place but the food is consistently okay and taken a little too seriously. The drive thru is difficult to maneuver through in larger vehicles so be warned. Glad to have the variety but really long for decent hummus, gyros and shawarma. read more
