Have I ever told you how much I love this bar? Can I even list how awesome this bar is? I love love love this bar - no other bar makes me want to go there like this one does. No other bar makes me sing at the top of my lungs, suck back beers and dance around like a teenager at a kegger - this bar is mine! If this bar were in a bar fight with any other bar I know the other bar wouldn't stand a chance! If this bar went to my High School, it would have won Prom King. If this bar was in a box of chocolate it would be the cherry cordial (because that's the best one in the box). If this bar was featured in the movie, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory it would be the first to find a golden ticket. And if I were Charlie I would want to take over this bar and live happily ever after amongst the bartenders, pool tables and foosball. If Oreo is America's favorite cookie, this is favorite bar amongst Miami locals! I could go on, but then this would be a review of Orlando or Rony proportions and that's just not my style. I figured, my 100th review, should go to a place that, if possible, I would go 100 times, in one week, every week, for the rest of my life. You can walk in here in your prettiest BCBG slip dress or your hole-iest blue jeans and fit right in with the dim lights, bangin jukebox, and $2.00 jello shots. An escape from the pretentious hype of Washington Ave, from anything you'd expect to find in the bass bumping,stilleto'd, glittery, mini dressed cornucupia of South Beach. You sing here, you dance here, you shoot pool, you shoot shit, you laugh here, you fall in love here, you leave drunk and happy and seeing stars in everyone's eyes. The moment that makes my Lost Weekend experience complete is after 4 or so beers quenched my thirst, and my stomach begins rumbling for the Shrimp Po'boy from their backend cookspot- The Alibi. Maria A. turned me on to this sandwich back in December, and little did she know the gift she was giving me wrapped in white butcher paper, with little crisp shrimp tail teasing it's way out of one end of the bread. On that day, I professed forever never -ending love to Maria A. for such a glorious gift. This sandwich has been known to leave me in a eyes closed, elbows on the table trance, with whatever rogue pieces of warm spicy shrimps that are tumbling down being quickly captured by whomever is seated at either side of me. The people- always changing, always eclectic. It really goes without saying that I grew to love my Yelp friends, that bought me closer to those whom I share my daily thoughts ( and tweets!) with, here at Lost Weekend. One of my favorite bars in south beach! The best part is they serve food up until 3am no matter what day of the week it is. If you're going to order food get the philly cheesesteak pizza or the chipotle tater tots as both those items are absolutely phenomenal! My mouth is watering just thinking about them right now. You won't be dissapointed if you order these so don't think about it and just do it. I come mainly for the food and while the place is always packed they only have one or two bar tenders which always do a great job providing good service. They have a decent selection of beers on tap and in bottles or cans so you won't be let down on that one. It's divey, smokey, and the only down side is they're strict on Wednesday for ladie's night. Prices are not bad for the south beach scene. I definitely recommend checking this place out! read more

Lost Weekend never disappoints. It's like the minute you walk in, you are guaranteed a good time. My other 1/2 and I decided to have our engagement party there since it was where we became a couple. We talked to the manager, Billy, who was incredibly accommodating and kind to us. We rented the upstairs and had the food catered by The Alibi. The staff was on point. The food came out when it should (and it was delicious - no surprise there), the beers kept flowing and the drinks were mixed perfectly. And the music, the music selection is fantastic! Everything from hip-hop to R&B to Pop to New Wave to Folk to Rock and Metal, you can count on your favorite song being there. Everyone got to play and dance to a song they loved. It was great! Every single one of our guests raved about the food, the service and the bar itself. Those that had not been there before were in awe of the place and said it was one of the best bars they had ever been to. But most of us already knew that. Lost Weekend's owners and staff know how to run a bar and know how to give great service. Thank you for making our night so wonderful! We knew we could count on this place to have a good time but everything they did for us exceeded our expectations. You can count on us being back again and again and again and again! Lost Weekend represents the alternative South Beach. It is a locals spot that is well known, really well-known. It gets mobbed on weekends and service on those weekend nights tends to suffer, yet if alternative South Beach is what you seek then it is well worth the stop. I came here.....again.... after a yelp event. It is the go to yelp after party spot. On this Tuesday, the service was rocking. Bartenders were quick, Alibi was pumping food out of the kitchen. I was very happy with the service unlike other nights I been at Lost Weekend. What is great about this place? You ask. Alibi for one, they cook great bar food and I would go to say better than a lot of SoBe restaurants and at affordable prices. The Margherita pizza could feed a family and is absolutely delicious. One of the best Margherita Pizzas I have had in my life. Entertainment is another reason. They have a sick jukebox, pool tables, pinball, and foosball. Yes, that is right foosball and yes, I am your worst nightmare in foosball. Lastly, the bar and let me explain. The bartenders are cool and friendly. the food order got misplaced and he gave us one beer complimentary of our choice. This leads me to say that they have an excellent beer selection. I went with a strong ale, blithering idiot. It was a wine-barley ale that had a Belgium beer finish with a slight fruit taste at the end and at a 11%, a couple of those will knock you on your ass. So it took me a few visits to value this South Beach bar, but now I am a follower of losing my weekends at Lost Weekend. read more

I'd never been to Lost Weekend before last night - I arrived with a bunch of Yelpers, most of whom were already feeling pretty good after the festivities earlier in the evening. First impression - cool place. Dive bar, but what distinguishes this from many other dive bars is that it's fairly large. Even with the pool tables, there's plenty of room to move around. The bar itself is small, however - and at first, it was difficult to get the bartender's attention. Actually, he seemed to be ignoring me. I think this was because of all the beautiful, well-dressed Ladies of Yelp milling around (with whom I'd have no problem Losing my Weekend); I didn't take it personally. I don't think they are quite used to that. But yeah, that first beer was an effort. Beer selection is decent. From a beer snob perspective, it's not the Abbey, Abraxas, the Room, or Zeke's, but it does offer something for everyone. You can order a Dogfish Head 90, a pitcher of Miller Lite, or a number of choices in between those two extremes. I could see myself stopping in again if I'm in the area. read more

They have drink specials every night of the week, awesome happy hour deals till 9pm, and $2 jello shots all night long. Throw in a jukebox with an awesome selection and the killer grub from The Alibi in the back, and there's nothing Lost Weekend can't supply. Lost Weekend is definitely one of my favorite bars in Miami, and not just of the "dive" variety. If you find yourself on Espanola Way after 5pm, check it out. Over the decade I've spent in Miami, Lost Weekend has been the bar I've frequented the most. My first weekend in town, living in an old one bedroom walk-up with a window a/c unit and no parking, my dear old college friend suggested we grab some beers at his favorite dive. I met about a dozen of my sobe cool artist's closest friends, got nice and toasted, spent a small fortune at the juke box, lost at a few games of pool, got my car towed, but won at life. Suffice it to say I have a healthy sense of nostalgia when it comes to Lost. My artist friend went on to bartend and hang his canvases on the walls and I spent more than a few more nights drinking till dawn at his bar. We stopped in too early on weekends walking home from the beach and too late on weekdays creating hangovers we would hate ourselves for the next day. The bathrooms are disgusting, the place smells like crap, and the bartenders aren't all that friendly unless you know them. They serve pitchers of beer with zip lock bags of ice inside to keep it cold. Happy hour prices are great and Wednesday nights ladies drink free. If you're not entertained by the video poker games or chalk bar just turn your head and watch the wild that is a south beach bar. Before (and after) Crobar, back and forth to Blue and then Kill your Idol, through all the club world changes, lost weekend remains. They started the free popcorn in bars trend and even serve up killer sandwiches out of their tiny kitchen. The drinks are strong and the party's always on. Lost weekend is everything a good dive bar should be. If you don't like it, I don't like you and that's that. read more

This dive bar is the spot of so many shenanigans that have chosen to forget. Some I remember vividly - almost being dragged into a fight with undercover NYC po po, and having to carry my unconscious wife out to the car. Good Times!! So how does a dive bar on the beach earn 5 stars? Give away free booze, that's how! It's not free per say, you still have to earn it. But on Thursday nights if you guess a coin flip correctly you get your round for FREEEEE. I recently discovered Thursday nights here and think it is the best thing since sliced bread. Disclaimer - my multiple free rounds of drinks are absolutely affecting my review. But seriously you can come here any night of the week to pre-game, hang out, or even post-game and you will have an awesome time. No dress code, no south beach BS, just cheap drinks and fun. The fact that the Alibi is located inside with the best post party grub on the beach definitely doesn't hurt either. read more

This place is a complete craphole. In fact, I wish Lost Weekend would just sorta "get lost". Perhaps it was a venue that was filthy...perhaps it was the food that was nothing more than average...perhaps it was the fact that my buddies cell phone disappeared from the wall charger only to be discovered under the foot of some random swedish woman with a thick accent... Your night can easily end at Lost Weekend, whether you intended it to or not. This rather large dive bar/pool hall is always loud, dirty, and smoky. The ratio is generally about 5:1 guys to girls. Yes ladies you know where to go if you want some better odds. The mix of regulars aka locals and tourists is slight because even though this bar is in the middle of a tourist heavy area it isn't a big draw on their radar. So locals are a plenty, the pours are strong, the Alibi is one of my favorite places in Miami for late-night eats but I always leave this place smelling like an ashtray. The bartenders are hit or miss (ask for Maria, she's the best bartender). As I'd mentioned before it's always loud and seldom do I think the music is amazing. The decor leaves much to be desired but hey it's a change of pace from the usual bottles service and velvet rope SoBe ritual and it's a breath of smoke filled air and those two things alone are enough to earn some die hard followers. read more

Literally ALL of my visits to Lost Weekend have been "lost". I barley remember going there or anything about the place. (Just because it was my last stop of many maaannnyyyy nights.) It took me like, three trips to figure out where all the popcorn was coming from haha! Pool table or tables.. not positive.. haaa.. video games that may or may not work, ladies nights, good happy hour, cool bartenders (they hook you up), and a good mix of locals and randoms. Stop 2 on pub crawl! I came to the conclusion that I do not come here enough. Probably the cheapest drinks we had on our pub crawl and fast, attentive service. And they have SKEEBALL!!!! So it is $1 a game but they have SKEEBALL and air hockey and pool tables. I could of stayed here all night I was having so much fun but we were determined to make it to the end of our pub crawl. I went to this poll hall with my family while vacationing in Miami Beach. My boyfriend suggested it because he loves pool. We just finished hookah and cigars and didn't want to go back to our Hotel yet. When we walked in we didn't even know anything about this bar, but what I did noticed was that this bar is my type of place. Everyone treated us nice and welcoming and didn't look at us in any kind of way. It was a group of us, like maybe 10 of us and it was late, so I was happy we weren't treated badly. We started a game of pool ordered some beers and had a blast! I even danced with the security guard at the door....I felt like I knew him within seconds since it was so welcoming! They also have a cool lounge next door that looked really cozy and I was welcomed to visit that side too. It's funny, I am a free and open person and don't really define myself as anything other than woman who simply love all people and I love that this place is open to people of all races and sex! Lost Weekend Baby... The feel of this place has to be the best on the beach. I don't have to worry about being super fabulous on SoBe, I can throw on some chucks and call it a day. They have plenty of pool tables, and there is nothing like playing pool while you're plastered. Every shot is a good shot... Ha I made a funny get it like pool shot or like alcohol shot? Not funny, I get it lol... The drinks are moderately priced I had a amaretto sour for like 7 or 8 bucks which is great for SoBe. I remember going here over 10 years ago, and went back just this past weekend to find that thankfully, nothing has changed. LW is probably my favorite bar on South Beach. Free popcorn, great beer, fun games. And the biggest feather in their hat is the jukebox. A great, ecletic mix and as long as you're playing good tunes, everyone else will let you dominate it. I always dominate it. In fact, I plan to dominate it tonight. A heavy-handed bartender.... I mean, really. What else do you need in life?? Stopped by Lost Weekend for a few after a Yelp event. Plenty of Yelpers in the building. 'Twas a Friday night but still kind of early so we pretty much made up the "crowd". Pretty spacious inside so I don't see it being unbearably packed even with quite a few more people inside. Very comfortable. Seats at the lone bar, tables surrounding the bar and in a few corners. There's a jukebox so you'll hear all the random picks. Security at the door but totally not pretentious, which was appreciated. Strong pours on drinks. *THUMBS UP* The Alibi (restaurant towards the back) served up one of the tastiest Philly Cheesesteaks I've had in a looong time. The thing was humongous with crusty, pillowy bread and tender strips of beef. It's been on my mind ever since, and this was weeks ago. Great fries. Stumbled into this bar on yelp as a group of friends and I wanted a drink and a snack while we were at the beach but didn't want to pay the expensive prices by the beach. We went at happy hour and it's good options and good deals. $14 for a pitcher of peroni. Service was good but the bartender went away for 20 minutes without notice and we had to wait for to get back to get our drinks. Good was good and I would come back here again to see if the bartender this time stays around. read more
