Now this is a bar you want to go to if you aren't looking for a "South Beach" bar, but happen to be in South Beach. Lost Weekend is about to become one of my favorite places in South Beach. It has a great vibe too it, really relaxed and cool. The pool tables and air hockey are added bonuses, of course they aren't fee, but the cost is minimal. I think what I love most about Lost Weekend is that it makes me feel like I'm back up north. The bar is sort of divey and sells good food. The drinks are strong and the people are friendly. I stepped into Lost weekend and felt like the Paris Night club scene in Killing Zoe, grabbed a beer and stepped back, and from my vantage point I observed every interaction, group, individual, game playing, dancing, drinking, laughing, chilling and each scene playing out like a movie on its own right. One of the biggest redeeming values of Lost Weekend is that it is in South Beach. In the heart of plastic, posers, wannabes and skanks, Lost Weekend appears in the horizon like a Coast guard cutter to pluck you out of shark infested waters. Awesome bar and awesome deals on Thursday. Flip a coin and if you guess it correctly, you get the entire round for free! The ladies in the group were really lucky because when they guessed the coin we got free drinks, but when the guys guessed we all got it wrong. Luckily, the rounds we won cost more than the rounds we lost. This place also has cheap pool tables ($1) per game, or charged by the hour. They have free darts upstairs also, which had zero foot traffic when we were kicking it there. Great place to hangout and plenty of room at the pool tables or the bar. I came here under the recommendation of a friend to try their truffle fries. I must say they are definitely pretty tasty especially right out of the fryer (careful, they're hot!). Since I was already feeling pretty good from another spot in SoBe, I did not try their adult beverages. There were several pool tables that were open for patrons of the bar to play at (coin operated). Definitely will come back to try their other dishes/beverages! read more

The only excuse I have for not writing my review sooner is that I got lost...at Lost Weekend! I have been coming to this place for years. It pretty much hits on all the "local" bar highlights, and then some. The bartenders are friendly, the beer is cheap, there are all sorts of games with which to amuse oneself (pool, foosball, darts), and the jukebox is loaded with the greatest hits! What is the "then some"? The food is actually decent! Not what you would expect in a bordering-on-divey type of bar. So after attending an awesome Yelp event on Tuesday, my guy and I were looking for a place to hang out that wouldn't break the bank. As we all know, that's basically impossible in South Beach so I was less than optimistic. Lucky for us, a quick Yelp search found us at Lost Weekend and I'm so glad it did! The draft menu here isn't incredibly extensive, however the special on Tuesday was $3 for a Yuengling which is a crazy good deal in Miami. We each ordered that along with some Florida Cracker and some mozzarella sticks. Overall, we only spent $30! Plus, they were playing the Detroit Red Wings game on multiple TVs, which made this Detroit native super happy! We also ran into some people we had just met at the Yelp event earlier in the evening and it was really nice getting to enjoy an unofficial afterparty. I will definitely be back! Philly cheesesteak with light wiz and provolone is a banger. I've had 5 different blonde beers and don't feel like a bad person. the jukebox is easy to play fun tunes on. Stumbled into Lost Weekend while on the hunt for cheesesteaks from The Alibi, and we're better for it. This hipster-y dive bar with it's pool tables, open floor plan bar space, retro signage, and local crowd, was a great place to take shelter from the unexpected rain last weekend. Across the way a bit from Espanola Way, and close to a major parking garage, I see myself here every weekend. We lucked into grabbing the last bar height table not attached to the bar, with 4 stools. They don't have a wide range of beers on tap (standard Guiness, Blue Moon, Yeungling, etc), but their bottled selection is much better. I wish I realized they had a pitcher happy hour special before we closed our tab, because it was half priced pitchers - we could've had a much longer night... Beers on tap were $5ish, bottles were $7ish, and The Alibi provided our munchies. What a great find for a post-beach break! read more

The only one to have air hockey. Great selection of music, older tunes, but still great. We all played a round of pool. I sucked, of course, but I don't usually play pool. Paul and my bf played a round of air hockey and Paul won me some tix! Don't know what for....Paul? Awesome time. The atmosphere was very relaxed and very cool. Next door was a much fancier lounge. Seriously, you walked through a door and it was like Jekyll and Hyde. One side brighter, the other darker and loungy. They have a really good selection of beer here too. I've lived on the beach for years, and I'd have to say that this is probably my go to divey/sports bar/local hang out place over that period of time. The drinks are reasonable, bartenders are friendly, and it's spacious. There are 3 or 4 pool tables, air hockey and foosball to play with your friends as well. There are a bunch of TVs to watch live games every day of the week. Staff will try to find your game you want to see if it's not wicked busy. The crowd is pretty eclectic, all types of people go to this place.. can get some tourists looking for a non-pretentious South Beach hangout, people in town for festivals etc. Food is available from a tiny kitchen at the end of the bar, called The Alibi. The cheese steaks this place pumps out are some of the best on the beach! They hit the spot after a fair amount of boozing it up! It offers a limited menu of mostly bar food, but I only get the damn cheese steaks because they rock! Another thing I like about this place is that you can access another bar from inside through a door, that bar being Kill Your Idol, which has a great happy hour, great live music and wicked eclectic decor. I ordered wings and fries from this location by DoorDash. The wings are very big which I guess is ok. I ordered 12 and 3 weren't cooked all the way, 1 was full of feathers. The sauce was good that I had ordered and the fries were real potatoes that were cut up not frozen which were very good. I would definitely order fries from them again. read more

I'll keep this review short and sweet. If you like dive bars, this is the place for you. Large selection of beers and liquors to go along with an interesting crowd. This place sports a pinball machine, a foozball table, and pool tables. They also have kind of a hidden are up stairs to lounge or play darts. My most interesting experience to share about this place was either seeing the pizza be served on paper towels or the a/c dripping down on our group while we played pool(that's how you know it's a legit dive bar). OCTOBER 26, 2019: I have been to your establishment in the past due to great recommendations and they were right it's a great place. I went back LAST NIGHT 10/26/19 and It absolutely was the WORST costumer service I've ever witnessed. I was present three different times when your bartender (very tall male) SCREAMED at three different customers. I actually walked those customers away to diffuse the situation and the fact that the bartender would loose his mind if someone tried to order FOOD left me in disbelief. As if he hated his job and did not want to be there. I actually felt bad for him. My party attempted two times to order food. The bartender screamed that he was busy, and asked my sister is she was DESPERATE to eat. Other customers saw this and asked us if the bartender was rude to my party because they experienced the same. The second time I went with my friend to order his food (purposely avoiding for the bartender to get angry/confrontation if he saw my sister) he ignored that we were standing and waiting trying to order. Your employee took everyone else's order even people who would JUST walk in to the establishment and just walked up to the bar. If it was super young woman your employee would take his time as long as possible to avoid asking what we needed. My friend told the bartender he was waiting there a while and the bartender told him if he wanted food to go to ANOTHER place where food is cheaper and that he was trying to HELP OUT telling us to go elsewhere.. THIRD time my party went to order food was my brother in law (again the customers trying to avoid confrontation and trying not to piss off your employee ) the bartender did not want to place the order. YOUR EMPLOYEE started shouting that everyone in the bar was screaming at him. I couldn't take the disrespect I stayed quiet for every single time he screamed at someone. I stopped your employee and told him I will leave the establishment with every person he just screamed at. I told your employee I hope his day got better because the way he treated every customer in front of me was not okay. YOUR EMPLOYEE SCREAMED at me that everyone keeps yelling at him orders. I asked him to lower his voice because I was not yelling at him. He disrespectfully told me he will lower his voice to repeat himself for me and that everyone including me had to wait our turn. I informed him I wasn't ordering I simply stood there at witnesses three times his disrespectful behavior... I watched while customers let him take his time and waited their turn... but the moment he would attend someone... he was upset people had an order. I again told him I understand he has a tough job and customer service is hard. But it was no way to treat every single customer and I again wished him a better day and hoped whatever ISSUES he was going through resolved themselves because he was taking out on customers and it simply isn't good for his job. Please review your CCTV in support of this complaint. Please also speak to the security who had told me he had three customers complained to him of the bartender terrible behavior. I asked for the manager but he wouldn't get there until the bartenders shift was over. I thought a million times about preventing this employees job from being affected with this complaint. This is actually MY FIRST BAD review in yelp. I am in support of all businesses but as a business you should be EXTREMELY CONCERNED this employee of yours HURTS any of your customers in an act of RAGE. Or simply affects your revenue. I really hope that if he's suffering from mental illness or depression that your business finds him help. read more

If I could give less then one star I would because wow I never went through something like what I did yesterday. The bartender was not only rude he was very aggressive, I would post this name but he didn't want to give me his name. I came to this place to watch a eagles game but prior to the game there was a World Cup soccer match so I waited outside for about 20 minutes for the soccer fans to leave once that happen I was the 1st one to sit at the bar after a couple minutes I was attended & ordered a beer, it was warm but w.e no big deal.... Here's were it gets good once the bartenders were doing shift change I asked the bartender "are you doing shift change if so let me tip the female bartender" because she the one who gave me the beer and the male bartender said "don't worry about it you're gonna be tipping me" that already was a red flag because being a bartender myself never have I ever told a customer that. Anyways after he told me that I asked him to order food and he said what you want to so I ordered a Philly cheese steak he asked what cheese I told him what cheese and that was it ..... I noticed that after 30 minutes sitting there (with my warm beer) that everyone around me was getting their food and my food was never getting to the window. So when I asked the bartender in a none rude way "is there a reason I haven't gotten my food is it because I have this jersey on" (I was a wearing a bears jersey because that's the team playing against the eagles and I'm a bears fan) and buddy took it very personal that he yelled at me took out his wallet and gave me $15 for the sandwhich and told me to get out...... I come to find out HE FORGOT TO PUT MY ORDER IN but his ego was so far up his .... That he instead of coming to terms to his mistake he instead told the bouncer that my comment about the jersey was rude ....... I do appreciate the bouncer who tried to talk to him because even the bouncer saw me waiting outside patiently not bothering anyone...I didn't leave my house to start no problems ... I went to this place to watch my bears play the eagles and enjoy a Philly cheesesteak and I came out not enjoying one minute also to add to this when I ordered my food I asked the barback to ask the bartender for a pitcher of beer the barback said I would pour it for you but he said he will do it ...... and he never ended up even doing that after all that time I sat there waiting for my food order that he never put in .... How long is someone supposed to wait before "complaining".
