The service was good. The owner was nice to fit me in last minute. She asked one of the stylists and I was able to be fitted in the 10:30am slot. I didn't ask for much to be done on my hair. Just a simple cut and a simple style. There was music played throughout the entire process and the vibes were great. I'm sure there were more services offered, but I didn't need it. Lotus Salon has a great name for the business and many friendly people that work inside this place. I came here just because many fellow yelpers said this place is pretty awesome. Well I called and made an appointment and got a hair cut. I thought my hair cut was alright not really that amazing, but I'm glad to try this one out. Price was decent as well so really it is a standard salon. The location of this place is pretty close to the Puente Hills mall and is off of Colima Rd. I came here based on a recommendation from a picky family member so I knew they would do a good job. I saw Tip, who did a wonderful job with the cut and I also loved the blow dry style at the end. I am normally not very specific with the cuts I want, but I asked for 3 inches off and layers. A few months ago I bleached my hair at home and by the time I saw Tip, the ends were super damaged. Now I have healthy hair again and still managed to keep enough length to still show off the color. Will definitely come back to Tip for all my haircuts! read more

But since my go to stylists were both out and were going to be out for quite sometime I had to rely on my trusty handy dandy Yelp app.Luckily it was easy to narrow it down by reviews and stars.This salon was a little out of my way but I'm always willing to drive a hot minute for great service,that's just me. Once I arrived I was really amazed but not,on how friendly the staff was,the reviews were right so far. I took a chance on the stylist named Tip because of her ability to do all hair types and styles.I was just there for a regular cut but I got the fifty dollar plus treatment for twenty,sweet deal.Even though it was my first visit,my new stylist Tip made me feel like we knew each other for awhile,cackling like hens. She does a Japanese Straightener on my hair and I have always been so happy with it. It's a very long processes but she makes me comfortable. The bestboart is when she washes my hair. Ha! I third the sentiment about Susan! I'm so pleased that she is receiving the well deserved credit for her work! I've been going to her for years, after my beloved Aaron was displaced from my usual haunt down the street at fobby Salon Shag. I've always been annoyingly picky about my hair: Too short, not short enough, not enough layers, bad color job. As loyal as I was to Aaron, I usually would leave the salon with some mild, disgruntled peeve about the service rendered. This has yet to happen with Susan. First off, she's wonderfully accommodating. I'm a self-involved jerk, so I rarely manage to remember to book an appointment. I call her in the morning and she'll find a time to squeeze me in, even if she's got a full schedule. Secondly, she's the most charming person ever. It's truly a pleasure to gossip and catch up with her every four weeks. Third, her skills are impeccable. I've been blond for nearly a year and have not experienced the usual disadvantage of fuzzy, destroyed hair shafts resembling the qualities dried straw. To be fair, I can't really speak for the entire salon, but my hairdresser is simply the best! Koyuki-san has been styling my hair, and my sister, mom and grandmother's hair for years. She knows exactly how to style it and she always comes up with fresh new looks. She's done several perms and straight perms on my hair and they've always turned out great. It's a miracle! My hair was curly thick frizzy dry with lots of split ends from blow drying and flat ironing. I went to Tip and she said that it would take a miracle and that's what she did. I got a Japanese straight perm. My hair is now soft and not only soft but silky soft and shiny and so easy to manage I can now just wash and go. susan- the sweetest woman ever!!! i got my hair dyed and highlighted there and i wanted to go really blonde. my color came out a tad too bright.. orangy tone.. i told susan i didnt want orangey.. but i guess since my hair was dark before i couldnt get it to go blonde.. i went back there to get it toned down and im sure she left it in too long cause then it was a dark orange. she was too busy keeping my mother company... i took my mother there for services.. and the two hit it off.. lol ...i wasnt happy with my mother's hair all that much, the color looked cheap.. color wise.. she isn't the best but personality wise.. she' will make an awesome friend. read more

i came here about a week ago to color my hair lighter from a dark brown to a light brown.. the color was stripped off of my hair and then susan coated the stripped hair to even out the color... When I was done I was sooooo disappointed because my hair was 5 different shades of red and orange and the color was unevenly distributed onto my head leaving patches of different colors. The next day I went to Sally's and redyed my hair myself and it came out a freakin' billion times better. I agree, Susan is one of the best hairdressers I've ever been to, and I've been to so many. Before, I used to hate getting my haircut because I could never find a stylists I liked. Some would cut my hair with a razor (which ended up damaging my hair) and for the most part, my hair would look good for a week or two and then my hair would start looking awkward as it grew out. Ever since I started to go to Susan, haircuts haven't been such a pain anymore. She always knows what to do with my hair, even when I have no idea what I want. My sisters, my mom and I each have varying hair types, from coarse and curly, to fine and wavy. She always manages to give us great haircuts. I've been a client with Lori for almost 9 years now. She's one of the best waxers I've come across and I only trust her to work on my eyebrows. I'm not the indulgent type. I don't regularly get manicures, pedicures or facials. That being said, l do keep up with my brows. Ok so I choose this salon for my hair color because of the great reviews Susan had but I wish I hadn't! My hair was orange in an attempt to go Reese Witherspoon blonde. My hair was a light brown but by the end of my appointment my hair was orange and my eyebrows were so processed you couldn't see them! The price was ok, 80 dollars for above the shoulder bob. But still will not visit again! My hair is now back to a darker color since I had a hard time covering up the orange! read more

Don't go to NORA , completely unprofessional and Apauling behavior. I had seen her once before, didn't really have any problems with her then except the lateness to her appointments. The second time I came in she was an hour late to our appointment, towards the end of our appointment she had told me she wasn't able to blowdry my hair or style it cause she had another appointment coming In, (why would you ever let someone leave a salon with wet hair?) I told her I needed it blow dryed, so she did and grunted the whole time until her other appointment has arrived , not finished with my hair still soaking wet she threw me under the dryer while she stated the other ladies hair. I had told her I need her to finish me up because I had to get to work and she kept ignoring me and then I had told her the second time and how unprofessional he was being especially because she had been hour late to our appointment, when she looked at her other coustmer and said "do you see what I have to deal with" and then proceeded to bitch about me in Spanish, I guess she didn't realize I know Spanish.... disgusting things being said about me. So I went back in the chair , she finished my hair, not very gracefully of course. After I was done I had given her $60 how much I've always paid for her work. I didn't include my tip because of everything I had went through, not to mention how she hovered over my wallet as I got the money out for her. After giving her the money she proceeded to tell me how disgusting and wrong I was... I was very confused , she then told me it was never $60 which then I showed her the text message when she quoted me at 60, and a screen shot of the check ( wish I still had them) from our last visit. she then proceeded follow me to the door and to block me from leaving the store. At which point I told her to call the cops if she felt like I had not paid her and she said she was going to so I sat down and waited in the front area when I took a phone call with my mother ( who she did her hair Aswell earlier ) she snatched the phone out of my hand and proceeded to tell my mother how nasty I was, after my mother had told her the same thing that it has always been 60. Lori is great for wax and eyebrows!!!!!! Her personality is awesome. But her work is even better!!!!! I let my brows grow out because the previous $5 eyebrow threading place kept making them so thin. So I randomly found Lori because it's literally down the street from my job and she did an excellent job. I have EYEBROWS again lol. Totally recommend her if you want perfect brows. read more
