I went in for gel removal. Was quoted $10 initially. However, when I went in the store apparently there would be extra $17 charge for cutting, shaping, and cuticle removal as well. I felt that it was a misleading quote, but since I was there - I decided to just pay extra. Now onto the service itself, my nail tech was very rough when removing my 3D nail art. I audibly yelled when she ripped it off with pliers without a warning. I can see the bruise under my nail since its purple now. Shaping wise, not even and I still have bits of cuticle stuck on my nail - even though I paid extra to have them removed... The overall vibe of the salon is a little older and aged. The choice in stars is mostly based on the quality of work, and more importantly sanitation. There is no autoclave in sight, only rubbing alcohol. So although a spritz of 99% isopropyl on home tools would be sufficient for sterilization, it does not meet standard expectations of a licensed salon. Additionally, for a $10 up-charge for a gel builder I'd expect my manicure to last more than 6 days. Unfortunately, it did not. As shown in the photo. WORST NAIL SALON EVER!!! DO NOT COME HERE!!! AWFUL SERVICE, RUDE STAFF, AND UNSANITARY TOOLS!!! I rarely write a bad Yelp review, but I needed to share about the horrendous experience here. My friend and I wanted to get a manicure and pedicure and found this place on Yelp. They charged $40 for a combo mani & pedi, which isn't too pricey since inflation made everything expensive nowadays. When we first got there, we noticed there was only one customer and they were complaining about their nails, which is already a bad sign. This place is so small and they were forcing us to get gel nails when we just wanted regular nail polish. My friend had her manicure done by an extremely rude staff that kept saying mean things about her while she was doing her nails and she smelled like an ashtray (we saw her outside smoking her cigarette when we got there). She was being extremely rough while filing my friend's nails and kept hurting her. My friend told her about it, but she ignored her and kept being rude and rough with her nails. She messed up a few of her nails, didn't even bother to fix them, and just painted extra layers to cover it up. My friend complained, but she ignored her and just walked away. The staff that did my pedicure wasn't even paying attention. She only trimmed the cuticles on one foot and completely ignored the other foot. I had to tell her about it and she trimmed a couple of my toe nails very short, was hurting a lot, and made my toes bleed. She was rushing through the callous removal and the feet massage. The staff that did my friend's pedicure was more attentive. We noticed their tools weren't even properly sanitized and it looked contaminated. We were so worried about getting a fungus infection from their dirty tools. Definitely never coming back to this place. We were so dissatisfied with their service that we almost didn't want to tip them. read more

Second time coming here with Covid rules in place and I've been happy each time. Can only speak on pedicures since I'm not a nail gal but have been pleased both visits. First time I made an appointment, today I walked in and while there were two customers inside, they attended to me quickly as I just came to get my toes done quick. Salon offers hand sanitizer at door, enforces masks, all workers are wearing gloves, and seats have the extra protection of the plexiglass in front of the chair so it's enough to make you feel comfortable and safe. It looks blobby, feels gummy, and even has some weird texture. Honestly I'm so annoyed because she even filed off my old gel and dug into my nice, thick, natural nail. Her technique is far more impressive compared to the technicians I've worked with and I always keep coming back to Anna after experiencing poor customer service at other nail salons. After my last technician started filing my skin multiple times, I decided to come back to Anna and told her about my terrible experience. This used to be my go to place for manicures, however, I stopped coming here. I made an appointment a month in advance for a specific time because afterwards I had a hair appointment in Chino Hills. I had an event to go to that night . The night before my appointment, the owner sent me a text saying that she moved my appointment. This was at 10 PM at night. I texted "as long as my manicure is finished in time for my next appointment." I told her I had an appointment in Chino Hills right after. Her response was a heart emoji. The next day, I arrived to my appointment 10 minutes early. All the nail techs were busy with clients. I ended up waiting 20 minutes. I asked the owner how much longer for my appointment? She said "I will help you right now." She just finished with a client. Normally the other nail techs do my nails, but to appease me, the owner said she would do my nails while my regular nail tech finishes with her client. The owner did not even bother cleaning up her station. She still had the tools that she used with her previous client on the table. She was very rushed and rough on my nails. When I saw that she was about to use the cuticle tool from her previous client with my nails, I stopped her, and I said, can you use a clean tool? She said "no I'm just going to use this to scrape off the old gel." She proceeded to use it on my nail and I was just disgusted. This nail place was never very clean in the first place. I believe the nail techs' practices would be more clean if the owner made it a priority to sanitize the tools. Apparently, the clients' health is not a priority to the owner. It is more about making money. The owner was rushing with my nails because she had another client and she said to me "I have another client" so she pushed me off to another tech because that tech was available. It was as if I was an inconvenience, even though I did make an appointment. But I feel like they prioritize their Chinese clients over everybody else. I believe the owner said in Chinese to the other nail tech that I was in a hurry, so that's why she was rushing. It was not that I was in a hurry, it was that the owner was late to accommodate my appointment. I ended up leaving before they can apply the gel because I would have been late for my hair appointment. So I was inconvenienced and had to return to finish my manicure and I live in Chino Hills. I left 2 stars for the nail techs who regularly did my manicures. They were meticulous. Handy and the other young lady (I don't recall her name). They were very quick and got the job done. I would leave 0 stars for the owner for the poor customer service and lack of sanitation. She would also arrive to the salon late, while the nail techs and clients wait outside for her to open up the shop. Be better. read more

I went in with my friend to get have a good time. We needed a little pampering and I needed a little prepping for an upcoming trip. We spent $324 + $70 in tips on two upgraded gel pedicures, a gel manicure, a full set, a bikini wax, and a full leg wax. Everything was cool until the next night when I had pustules on my legs. I contacted Anna and she suggested I was allergic and to use peroxide. As I updated Anna, she accused me of going into a dirty pool. She said her daughter is an RN and taught her about germs. I told her I was headed to the doctor because the redness/pain/swelling was too much to bear. Long story short, I ended up at the doctor 3x with a hellacious case of folliculitis and cellulitis. I had to be off work for two days because I couldn't walk. My right leg has holes in it that regularly leak pus and fluid. My left leg is much better. I am currently on 600mg of antibiotics 3x per day, plus pain meds. I paid for specialized hospital soap, antibiotic cream and my prescriptions. My vacation was essentially ruined because I couldn't walk without my leg hurting and draining. I asked Anna for a refund and she offered me services. I'm not going back, so I held fast that I wanted a refund. She wouldn't budge so I told her my boyfriend wanted to go to court. She told me about how tired she is of the business, how hard she works, and how she is still paying for it. I gave up at this point and tried to enjoy my vacation, but filed a claim with my bank about the experience. The wax happened 7/17/21 and she sent $100 on 7/28/21. The $100 doesn't come close to the money I missed from work, medical bills, prescription costs, OTC costs, a ruined vacation, and the anxiety of potentially losing my leg. TLDR: Got a wax. My leg will be scarred for life. Owner sent $100 refund on $324 (+$70 in tips) service. Won't ever be back. read more

I had pointed out that the sides of my thumb looked weird once they had "cured" in the gel light and the girl told me that the lights weren't that strong on the sides and I needed to put my thumbs in more. If this was common knowledge, you would think she would have told me prior to putting my nails in the light. But I had to point it out at the end. She wiped off the last layer she had done after I pointed it out and had me put my thumb in all the way, and this was End result - cracked nails. The girls were dressed up fancy and cute however the girl in the mini skirt sat down and gave my husband his pedicure and he could almost see her .
