Tracy is a nice and talkative person, but I don't believe she has no proper hair cutting skills. I wanted lots of volume in my hair so I asked for lots of layers and not once I saw her sectioning my hair, elevating the hair or cross checking. I thought it was weird that she didn't do that. She didn't even provide me with a mirror to show me how it looked in the back when the cut was finished. I only found out the cut was choppy when I washed my hair a few days after. I can't remember if I got my hair washed or not. The price was ok that's why I decided to try her out, but really it's not worth it. Let me tell you about this woman. Phenomenal work and super sweet. She knows hair better than you could even imagine it. I don't get hair cuts often because long hair is my vibe. Tracey made it healthy and more vibrant with some color. Ladies, trust the process. I admit I was nervous because I have had some hard experiences in my past with other places but she knew what I wanted. From the style of cut to my hair color. I never gave this shop a positive review. It appears that the owner is using the befor picture as her final finish on my color. What actually happened is that she sied my beautiful baby lights in to pumpkin orange and it was a result of her doing the same process on my hair twicw in one day. I paid 1200.00 for a colr correction. The person who colored my hair in the orange picture is the person from Perfect Style which name is a total misnomer. Over priced . I went to Tracy earlier this year for the first time. I wanted to go back to being a lighter blonde. She charged me 150.00 plus a 40.00 tip. Which now I regret giving to her. If it's your own business the 'labor is included in the price. So, the hair was very bracie. I dealt with it. I went back a few months later. I brought a friend who has black hair and had some great that needed to be covered. Tracy dyed her hair black, charged her 260.00 and my friend gave her a 40.00 tip. Three hundred for a simple hair color . I don't know why but she did us both at the same time and I thought it would be cheaper this time since I was there a few months ago but it was more it was $250 plus a $30 tip . She made close to 600.00 in less than 2 hrs. Tell me why this week I made another appointment with her . She acted like it was going to be difficult because I needed highlights and a touch up. She was 10 min late for my appointment. She spend less than 2 hrs on my hair, which is short and thin. She kept complaining that she had booked herself a 12 appt with another client and that she was going to have to cancel because of me???? So, she charged me 250.00 I unfortunately gave her a 40.00 tip . So, round it off to 300.00 for a simple hair color. The next day, I realize it was very brassy and orange on the top. I texted her. She said she would fix it but then I started talking to my coworkers about what was done and they all told me they paid less and I was overcharged, so I asked her for a refund and she refused to give it to me at least a partial refund. I will never ever go back to her again and I wouldn't recommend her at all. She's very very overpriced. She has too much stuff going on and needs to pay more Attention to her client. A long over due review! I went in as a first time customer desperate for a cut (I gave myself a crazy "trim") and came back within a week for a color because Tracey was so good! Shes so informative and gave me a couple of ideas that could help me manage my curls. She educated me and suggested great products. New year new me I thought when I decided to book an appt for a haircut. I was very appreciative she was able to take me that week. When I got there, I showed her my inspo picture and tried to trust the process. Entire appointment, my stylist was selling me on her skincare. I assume she gets commission per sale she gets but over an hour of her talking about it and she kept me for 15 minutes after my appointment to keep showing me why it's so great, it was uncomfortable for me to keep nodding my head and being polite. I got bangs and layers. It's been a week since the haircut and I hate the front of my hair. I wanted to feel confident and classy and instead, I feel stupid for spending $85 for a haircut that looks like I did at home. Tracy wasted my time. I am extremely upset that I was lead to believe I was getting the Botox hair treatment similar to the Brazilian and Keratin hair straightening treatments. Instead, she did this 5-minute what appeared to be a hair mask. She told me the results would last approximately 3 months. LIES! When I washed my hair, my hair was worse than when I initially went into the salon. This salon has several red flags. The doors are locked during normal business hours. Tracy was overly nice. I didn't find it necessary for her to tell me that she has been in business for a long time. She was trying too hard to sell herself. She raved about her services but I found it interesting that her hair was super dry for someone who does excellent work. Then, after horrible results she STILL defended her product as been expensive. How a hair dresser does not know the difference between the real hair Botox hair treatment and a Botox-like treatment is beyond me! I would question the validity of her cosmetology license. I had an important business trip the following week for which I needed my hair done. I had absolutely NO time to go to another salon to get it fixed. I demanded she refund my money including my tip. She did. I took an entire half of the day off to get my hair done. As far as I am concerned she should pay me for my lost time as well. IN RESPONSE TO BUSINESS OWNER: update Appreciate? Appreciate you wasting my time? What lies are you talking about? I threatened you how? By demanding my money back for lying to me and wasting my time? You make no sense at all. Also provided other insights re: skill level needed for short vs long haircuts, the hair diameter typical of Asians, accurate guesstimates of the state of my scalp (not medical in nature), etc etc. The haircut started off with a soothing shampoo and conditioner. Then came the actual hair cut, texturing, and styling. She was detail oriented making sure I liked the cut. Explained herself step by step. This hot summer has me wanting to lighten my hair color, but as most folks know, it's hard to just trust a random hair stylist with your hair! I initially messaged Tracey regarding a mani/pedi for my momma and I, with the potential of me getting a haircut and color depending on Tracey's assessment. Tracey responded quickly and thankfully had an opening that worked with our schedule. When we got to the salon Saturday morning (a few minutes earlier than our 10:00AM appointment), the shop looked closed. Just as I was about to try the front door, Amy (the manicurist) opened the door. Amy alternated between working on my mom and I's hands until Tracey arrived, and after Tracey arrived, my mom and I rotated between Tracey and Amy's capable hands for our hair and nails. At the end of our 3.8 (basically 4) hour visit, my hair was lighter colored, my finger nails painted, AND my momma got her mani/pedi plus her hair dyed. Since Tracey and Amy work only by appointment, they are able to take their time, which is definitely appreciated. My mom's nails/nail polish chipped the same evening (nooo), but Tracey was very accommodating and was able to schedule my mom for the following Saturday to fix the nails. Yay. I am new to LA county region and so I didn't have a reliable place to cut my hair. I was honestly very nervous as a lot of stylist in the past cut my hair shorter than I imagined so I was very reluctant to get a haircut but I've decided it's time as my hair was growing out and the blonde I had left in my ends were extremely dry. I did a lot of research and finally found this place. I trusted the great reviews and the pictures and decided to cut it here. This place is considered "far" from me (20 minutes) but it was worth the drive! Tracey was very thorough explaining the cut, and even got the exact length I wanted and imagined. I got subtle long layers and face framing and she kept her word and kept the length of my hair (it's pretty long). This review is based on the three interactions I've had with Tracey. I found Tracey on yelp in March and came to her to get a haircut and referred my sister here to dyer her hair blue black. Tracey did a phenomenal job on both services and I knew I would be back. Come June, I went to Tracey for a balayage with a money for my curly hair and she delivered. The service only took three hours since I had my appointment at 4pm and I felt so comfortable in the chair. My sister went to get her hair colored Midnight Blue on Tuesday and this is where my big review and admiration for Tracey comes in. I'm not sure what happened during the dying, but my sisters end result was a bright blue that ultimately wasn't what she wanted. She tried to like it and burst into tears because it wasn't what she wanted. Tracey with the kindness and customer service didn't want my sister to leave her chair without being happy with her hair and was providing her with solutions. I only live five minutes from Tracey's salon and my sister came back to my house and within that time Tracey went to the hair store and bought the color my sister was looking for. Tracey quickly contacted my sister and my she went back to repair her hair. I think it speaks a lot about Tracey and the pride she has in her work for going above and beyond for my sister. She came out of the salon 100 times happier and I can't thank Tracey enough for going above and beyond for my sister. She's had bad experiences at other salons and has been growing out her hair for five years, so her trust in other hairstylists touching her hair is rare. My sister put me onto this local gem. I called this morning, Tracey answered quickly - and even had availability for a same day appointment! I took it because I hadn't had my haircut since Oct and I went super short, so the cut they did - was no longer flattering at my current length. I got in, she took my temp, made me wash my hands, and fill out a survey to ensure the safety of everyone. She was a delight to speak to and did let me know my hair was v dry (but nothing new there for me). I got a trim, she fixed up the feathery pieces from my previous haircut, and added wonderful layers to help lighten up the weight of my hair. Honestly, it looks much thicker than before and somehow longer although we cut a bit off - ah the magic of layers! I'm obsessed and will be back.
