His work is impeccable. He holds himself and his workers to a very high standard, and you'll be hard pressed to find the value for your dollars spent anywhere else. Ive recommended him to several friends over the years, and no one has been disappointed. In fact, they've used Ziggy more than once. After all the years I've worked with him, I recently asked him why he hasn't grown his team larger and expanded his business more (he has PLENTY of business but having more workers would expand his business even larger) He told me it's because he likes to oversee every project himself personally and if the business got too large, he may not be able to expend himself to the oversight that he insists on. If Ziggy is working at one house, and sends a couple of his guys to yours to do a smaller job, trust me, he will be popping in on a regular basis to make sure things are done correctly, and perfectly. This man will provide you with QUALITY work and takes pride in providing you with a beautiful job. He never takes advantage of anyone on cost. Ziggy is a fair man. Ziggy has strong opinions on the best material to be used for the project due to his experience. I have strong opinions on my aesthetic outcome. So if we disagree (and we have) he will of course acquiesce to the homeowner with a reluctant shrug and the knowledge that you're ultimately the one in charge of what you want. He's more practical I feel, and I'm more aesthetic, and both of us opinionated on what we think is best. With his talent and knowledge of what he's doing, and what I like to think of as my good aesthetic eye, we together recently produced a bathroom I could live in! (IF it were larger! ) I'm not one to recommend anyone lightly. It's happened where a company does a good job for someone, then a less than stellar job for another person leaving the homeowner disappointed. I never want to be that person who steered someone wrong, even if it's out of my control and I was pleased with the work rendered at my place. With Ziggy, and after working with him on four different jobs, I can tell you without hesitation and with confidence, he will provide you with beautiful work, at a price that is usually more than competitive.

Back in May/June 2025, I hired Handy Gentlemen for interior work on my house. It is now…read moremid-September. David, the owner, seems like a nice guy, and he did a good job replacing the tiles on my bathroom floor, and he (mostly his assistant) did a lot of painting, which on the whole looks good. But see below... The big issues were what I discovered after he was finished and had left: fresh paint stains in multiple areas, including the wood floor of my 19th century house and even furniture - which I cleaned up. Splattered paint near the ceiling of my kitchen which still, three months later, has not been patched, paint stains on my oriental rug, a major purchase 40 years ago, etc. David said he would pay for the rug damage, and I only asked for 50% of the very reasonable $175 cleaning cost. David told me to bill him via Zelle, something I said I'm not sure how to do. He already has my Zelle information, since that's how I paid him for the work. But after messaging him and emailing several times, he has not responded. And I still have paint streaks on the wall and an unpaid bill. So I can't recommend Handy Gentlemen. I think part of the problem is that David is under-manned and a bit overwhelmed, but not responding to my messages is unprofessional.
