We had been hearing good things about Lou-Lou's, so we gave it a try tonight. So very glad we did! While there isn't a lot of room for seating, (maybe room for 10-12) but the food more than makes up for it. We were promptly greeted, and Lou-Lou so kindly explained the ordering process. She is a sweetheart. I ordered the Shrimp Po' Boy, with hushpuppies and sweet tea. My husband ordered the Whiting plate, with Brussel's sprouts, hushpuppies and sausage and sweet tea. Listen....BEST hushpuppies I've ever eaten in my life...and I have been around a while. My sandwich had 6 large/jumbo shrimp and they were fresh and delicious. The remoulade sauce really enhanced the flavors. The sprouts were so scrumptious, as was the whiting. All the food was piping hot. Do yourself a favor, and have dinner there. Been craving a po boy for awhile and been wanting to try Lou Lou's for a minute. We drove there at around 2 cuz I had read the hours as 11-8 on here but if you google the correct hours are 4-8. We ordered by phone and went to pick up.The decor is super cute but it's not a dine in restaurant although there's a sitting space outside and chairs to wait inside. The owner was the only one there answering the phones, our questions and cooking. He was super nice and let us know that unfortunately they were out of the house made rémoulade sauce and I was instantly disappointed. Butttttt the food is soooooo good everything we ordered was amazing. The shrimp po boy was so good and we were offered substitutes for the sauce. The fried deviled eggs are amazing ! like beyond. The mussels are so tasty and well seasoned. The mac n cheese is so good and unique very flavorful. The buffalo chicken wings were deemed too spicy by my 8 yr old but I love love their buffalo sauce and highly recommend the buffalo wings. My expectations were really high for this place and the food delivered. Aside from the confusion about the hours which was my fault and the lack of rémoulade sauce and long wait time (only 1 person working ) the food is well worth it. read more

Definitely going to be a regular stop whenever we're on the road because it was that good. The menu has plenty of options so it's almost hard to choose but the prices are great too so try everything! You can get a variety of fish cooked in different ways, there is many different sides, vegetable options, rice fried with crab, shrimp, or lobster, and crab, shrimp, lobster, and regular mac. We got fried whiting with a side of mac and asparagus along with crab mac and crab fried rice. The portions were great and we didn't even finish everything. The fish was fried well and it was so crispy and seasoned. The rice and mac were also very seasoned- everything was. You could tell they care about the quality and taste of the food. The staff was very kind and made sure we were good. I wish they had a location in Raleigh because this place is a gem. read more

The food was perfectly seasoned, had the closest reminder of a louisiana boil. The service was great seemed like a family Resturant and they were very happy to answer any questions my girlfriend had about the menus options.
