My original review on Lou Malnatis was 1 star, I wasn't happy at all. The management reached out to me and I explained the problems with the meal delivered to my mother and I for Mother's Day (we celebrated the evening before). They wanted to make things right and gave my mother a complimentary meal. I am very pleased with them for trying to make things right because so many businesses use COVID as an excuse for bad service. Now for the review on the food I will paste my mother's text message to me about her meal. "The pasta and garlic bread is delicious and they gave me enough for three days. Thank you." As an uber driver, I wait 10 mins minimum for my orders. This last order I was already waiting 10 mins and they came out and said they forgot a pizza and it would be another 15-20 mins. I will never take another order from this place let alone order from there myself. Absolute garbage. read more

Pizza was good as always. Family size salad was good. But by the next morning it was all brown and nasty. I tried to pick through it to pull out some good pieces but found very little. What that feels me is that this was either not a freshly made salad, put together maybe a day or two before and kept in the fridge, or it was made fresh using produce that had been sitting around awhile. I can make a salad at home and it stays good for 3-4 days. I wound up having to throw a little more than half in the garbage. Ill no longer be ordering a salad here and is it really want one, ill just order my pizza from Beggars where the salads have always been fresh for me. read more

The food is always great. It's literally the ONLY reason I still order from this place. They make written promises of order delivery times and NEVER make them. Even now they added half an hour to a delivery time on a $100 order for my guests and me and. -- again -- broke their written promise. Also on more than one occasion they have taken an order, gotten paid and then CANCELLED OUT ON ME after over an hour, claiming they could not find a driver. I had to order from another place and wait several days for my money to be returned me. That is NEVER acceptable even if the manager needs to get into the car and personally drive the order out. So if you can afford a crapshoot as to whether or not you will even get ANY food and have to pay double (even one second is too long to be out of your money), the food is good. They just have no desire to fulfill orders at or before the promised time. And it is beyond the pale. read more

Last time I'll be ordering. Always an issue with delivery. Never even close to estimated time. Estimate given is usually about an hour. But expect to wait a least an hour and forty five minutes. Always trying to find a driver. They use third party drivers. Not worth it anymore. Plus a $6 delivery fee and you add on an additional tip. Paying way too much for poor delivery service. read more

I have always been a Lou's fan...until today! Ordered three XL Pizzas and they were beyond disappointing. The crust was limp on the bottom, not cooked all the way through, and was completely flavorless. There was barely any sauce and way too much cheese. Placed an order online for a medium uncomplicated pizza and 2 house salads. Got a text from door dash 50 minutes later saying the delivery was cancelled and to call the restaurant for more information. Called the store for more information. Got put on hold for 7 minutes to be told that a door dash driver picked up the order 2 minutes ago. We live 10 minutes from the restaurant. 30 minutes later I call back. Got put on hold again. My husband called while I was on hold and spoke to a guy. Said we wanted a refund. He asked if we still want the pizza, my husband responded with "sure, assuming this guy shows up since no one seems to know where he is". They said they're going to have their own driver bring over the order in 20 minutes. 35 minutes later, still without anything, husband called again to demand a refund and wouldn't get off the phone until it was confirmed. Slow service and snotty attitudes. Ordered a pizza to my shop for delivery and I was 1.7 miles away. 7:15 pm on a Thursday night. The 45-to 1 hour delivery time was 1 hour and 37 minutes for a cold medium pizza. Not to mention the it was $25 for a thin crust! Yes you heard that right. I hand the delivery girl a $50 bill and she actually asked me if I wanted change! Ah yes I want change. How is that even a question?? Now top that off with "well how much do you want back?" Stopped in to pick up my favorite pizza and salad yesterday. I purchased gift cards around the holidays to receive the bonus gift cards they offer, great deal! I was having trouble with my LM app and not only were my reward points not correct, I couldn't find anything that showed the $200. In gift cards I purchased in December. (I purchased on line) The manager Ru Shah immediately came to my rescue and explained they were having IT problems with the app. He helped me, made me feel I was important and asked me to call him if I was having any issues in the future. Also the sweet young girl working there was extremely nice and helpful when I told her I had received a coupon for a free order of wings but couldn't find how to get them with my app. My food was hot and delicious, so thank you both for making my experience stress free and for your service excellence. I loveeeee lou malnati's! Definitely my favorite pizza place in Illinois. I love their thin crust and their butter crust is also really good. However the one thing that stops us from coming more often is that the pick up time always ends up being later than what we schedule. Sometimes we wait up to 20 mins past the time they say it will be ready. Totally understand that they are busy but would really appreciate more efficient timing. Ordered a crustless pizza which was ok and a Lou Malnati's salad. The salad had romaine that was brown on the edges and the rest of the romaine leaves were limp. Tomatoes were soft. I don't eat pizza often due to it's high amount of calories, but if I ever want to have some, it would be Lou's. They serve the best pizza.

The Personal Lou has been disappointing lately. Turning into a cheese pizza. The sauce is no longer the best part.

We ordered carry out from Lou Malnati's in New Lenox tonight and were very disappointed. We ordered 2 pizzas, wings, and garlic bread. Out of 4 items 2 were burned. One pizza and the garlic bread were noticeably burned and should not have been served. UGH. Will not be going back anytime soon!! read more

I like Lou Malnati's pizza, but this wasn't what I have come to expect from them. We ordered the thin crust and it was a lot thinner than I thought it would be. This is a take-out only place and prior to this we've always eaten in one of their restaurants. I haven't had Lou's in a while and was really looking forward to it. I was disappointed. The crust was over cooked, the toppings were bland and it was really pricy for thin crust pizza. I love Lou's. Always have. My family not so much. So when they went out of town and left me alone for a few days, I instantly ordered Lou's pizza. It is just as good as ever! There was a slight glitch with the order, and it was picked up by the wrong person. The manager came out as I walked in and explained the situation and made me a new one and refunded my money. We all make mistakes, it is how you handle them moving forward shows the character of a person and establishment. I will define be back! On the plus side, I got free pizza :) read more

I am a big Lou fan. I was happy to see a location closer to my home so I gave it a try. One of the things I love about the Deep Dish Sausage Pizza is it is covered in sausage and you get some in every bite. The pizza we ordered last night was lightly sprinkled with sausage and disappointing. We haven't had much pizza this summer as we were busy and decided on a treat. Everyone kept asking what's wrong with this pizza. What happened to all the sausage. I hope this is not a trend. Opps my bad.
