A Giordano's redemption story! After my previous experience, the store's GM reached out to me to better discuss what happened to make in-house improvements. He was extremely nice and took my constructive criticism well. A couple months later and I decided to give Giordano's another try. I placed our order for (2) thin crust pizzas, (1) deep dish pizza, and some sides of ranch. The order was going to take 45 minutes but I think it was ready slightly before that. Either way, the boxes came out fresh and hot! Everything travelled well back home to enjoy. Finally got the Giordano's product we know and love! I highly recommend not ordering ahead, showing up early from the given time, previewing the menu to order clearly, and order the thin crust over tavern style. The pizzas and other food is usually good when i sit inside, but whenever I place delivery orders, I never get the items that I ask for on the side like table settings or the cheese that you can sprinkle on the pizza. That's really disappointing because that's one of the things that truly makes the experience great for me. Unfortunately, the quality of the pizza has bottomed out at this location. We've eaten at other Giordano's locations, and the Tavern pizza was dry, overcooked, and extremely skimpy on cheese and ingredients for a $27.99 pizza. We immediately complained, and the manager insisted that this was how they made Tavern-style pizza with 30% less ingredients. I have had it at other Giordano's locations, and it was good and not close to being comparable. Service was sparse at best. Always waiting for the server to make an appearance. read more

This is for a carryout order which I picked up. I ordered one deep dish and one thin crust pizza. When I got home the thin crust was black, I mean black. I called up and the manager was very nice and said he will make a fresh one. Since I was six minutes away I agreed as the wife and kids were hungry. He said don't bring it back just pitch it. So I went and picked up the new pizza and showed the guy at the counter a picture of the pizza and with a straight face he would have eaten it. The pizza was beyond well done that I have seen. The cheese and crust was blackened. The sauce nut of evaporated as it was non-existent. The new pizza was almost under cooked and had no flavor. 3/4 of the pizza as pitched along with the burnt one. Whoever when we got there the host said oh no we don't do that I was not to happy because I told her or him I called and placed my order finally got it tooken care of but they had a bad aditude. The food was ok I ordered a LG stuffed sausage and a LG tavern pepperoni with pepperoni on top of course it was under the cheese. Very skimpy on the ingredients. I had great service. And lunch specials are a good deal. But I'm a huge fan of their deep dish pizza. Also the house salad is great. Simple but very tasty. The house dressing is a vinaigrette that they make in house. Light but very flavorful. They can get busy and deep dish pizzas take a little longer to cook but it's worth the wait. read more

Went there with 2 other (family) couples. We each ordered our own pizza. My husband & I ordered a medium deep dish with sausage, mushrooms, onions, spinach, green peppers and black olives. Lots of olives, very little spinach and sausage. One slice of the deep dish didn't have any sausage on it at all. Next piece had 1 piece of sausage. Discussed with waitress and manager. They told us the sausage is portioned out. There was maybe 6 pieces of sausage on the whole pizza. With our complaint they took off the price of our pizza from the bill. Unfortunately we are sad to say we like sausage and will not return to this restaurant that does not put the meats on the pizza as it should be. Services was good. Atmosphere was good. Went for dinner last night. They put us in the "party" room. We could barely hear ourselves it was so loud. Should have given us a heads up. It wasn't that crowded and they could have put two tables together (only 5 of us) in the main dining room or bar. I just finished working at the Mokena Giordano's over the summer. I can't express how impressed I am with the establishment. The managers are extremely caring and treat everyone like family. What is wrong with this place? Every, single, time, there is a problem with the food. Chicago style deep dish. Theirs is good. Problem is they can't cook it to save their life. They get the cook wrong 80% of the time. When you pick it up it's either undercooked and doughy or overcooked and burnt underneath.L so you always have to check. They hate remaking it since it takes so long to cook so when they mess it up they just box it and hope for the best. Last straw for me with this place was our last order. Not only did they get the order wrong like usual, but our CHICAGO DEEP DISH pizza was made super thin. I kid you not. I cut it and the cheese went all over in a weird way, almost like there was no support for it. When I cut into it I couldn't find the bottom easily. When I did I realized what happened. They pounded it so thin that there was only a thin layer of dough for the base, thinner than a tavern style pizza, and then they dumped a ton of cheese on it. I included pictures so you can see. This was a cheese bowl with sauce on top with all of the dough going to the crust. Not to mention all of that cheese kept what dough there was from even cooking. I scraped it for a closer look and was able to take the raw uncooked dough and form it into dough balls. I'll end by saying I really like Giordano's pizza but this place is just awful. For a $30 pizza they could put in the effort of doing it right. Save your money and frustrations and try a different location. read more

Listen, if you LOVE Chicago-Style pizza, it's hard to miss this place. My sister lives in TN and the pizza options stink. So she asks to eat pizza every time she's back in IL. Friday is our pizza night and we decided to go out for pizza tonight. Giordano's is close to home and has a nice dine-in area. There was a 15-20 minute wait for a table of 6. We were sat in that time and had a fantastic server. Drinks came out quickly and we ordered our deep dish pizza right away because it takes 45 minutes to cook. In the meantime we ordered a sampler appetizer platter of garlic cheese bread, boneless wings and cheese triangles. The sampler platter came out fast and was delicious. Our pepperoni deep dish pizza came out in 45 minutes and was very yummy. A few cold draft beers to with our pizza was really good too. Definitely will be back! read more

We were out running errands and decided to stop in the Giordano's in Mokena, and we are so glad that we did! We were warmly welcomed by, Michelle, who we thought was the hostess and server, and were seated quickly. And, when we wanted to switch seats, not once but twice, she kindly accommodated us! She treated us like gold and made us feel like royalty. The pizza was delicious and the service was impeccable. We later discovered that Michelle is actually the general manager, and it made sense why everything was so great when you have a manager who is a team player and knows how to treat customers right. We also had the pleasure of speaking with Rodney, who also manages the restaurant. We are already looking forward to coming back! read more

I ordered via Uber Eats for delivery. The food was horrible. We ordered a stuffed pizza which was bad but was the only one that was even halfway edible. We also ordered a thin crust that was not even cooked all the way through and not that it matters but we ordered it well done. We also ordered other items that were just missing altogether. When I called the restaurant they said nothing we can do, call Uber Eats. He said he would make another pizza for us but we would have to pick it up. Did you even go to Chicago if you didn't have some deep dish pizza? I've been dying to try it since my friends traveled to Chicago last year and talked about its deep dish pizza. So where else would I try it other than Giordano's which has the "world's best stuffed pizza?" The restaurant was crowded both inside and outside so I was pretty shocked to hear it would only take 15 min for a table to be available for my party of four. In the meantime we could give them our pizza orders since they take an hr to make, but it really only took 40 minutes for our small pie to be ready. A lot of tables only ordered pizza but since it's our first and possibly last time eating here, we thought we'd try more things. We ordered the Italiano sandwich, which was only $10 with a side of fries during lunchtime. The fries were disappointingly bland. We got the classic small pie which had six slices. Since we did have to wait for it, Was I expecting my life to be completely changed? Absolutely. Was it? No. It was very filling and heavy with all the sauce and cheese. While I liked the crust I don't think deep dish pizzas are my thing. I'm a hardcore fan of local nyc pizza. also I'm a little salty that our waitress didn't give us any time to take pics of it. She started serving it immediately after setting it down. We also got the fettuccine Alfredo pasta with chicken and broccoli. I really do not recommend it because it was tasteless. My husband and I were visiting from Las Vegas. Even though we have a Giordano's in LV, it tastes so much better in IL. I had originally made an online order (stuffed pizza) but realized I ordered just cheese and forgot to add sausage. How can you order a Giordano's stuffed pizza without sausage?? SMH. When I went inside to pick up our order, I had spoken with Mistie. I had explained to her my mistake and she informed me that I would have to purchase another pizza with sausage. I told her that it was my mistake and that was not a problem. Michele (manager) was also there and when I mentioned we were from LV, she said "you know we have a location in LV?" We mentioned we tried it there before but it never tastes the same. She stated it's because of the water and climate. Which made perfect sense. Plus we were also bringing home a pizza for a friend, so wanted it to be correct. My husband had noticed that they had a freezer of frozen stuffed pizza and we had asked Mistie if she would recommend those over a fresh pizza. She mentioned that she would get someone from the back to answer that question. She and a gentleman by the name of Odis came back to the front. We had explained to him that we were going to bring the pizza home with us (to Las Vegas) and asked if a fresh pizza or a frozen one would be best, since we would have to freeze the fresh one anyways. Odis was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and helpful advising that in our case it would be best to take home a frozen one (as they are made in IL) so it would taste the same as the fresh. Also, it would protect from any airborne illness (since the frozen one was already sealed.) Glad we had asked, as it made our decision easier and got the frozen. Odis definitely made our experience more enjoyable. Thank you so much for your generosity, Odis. We can't thank you enough for turning my original mistake into something so much more memorable. My family of 6 people went to this location giordanos (which we usually love) and had the absolutely worst service I've ever had in my life. The waitress couldn't bring us two rounds of drink in the 2.5 hours we spent here eating. She brought out a meatball sandwich 25 minutes AFTER the deep dish pizza came out which was the craziest thing ever. And didn't check on our table at all (didn't even bring us water when we asked) and there were only 3 tables of people in the whole place. Wow, what an experience at the Giordanos in Mokena. Every time I come, I am greeted and remembered with a smile. From the servers to the pizza makers and the managers. I especially commend Otis and Michelle. When I first started coming to Giordano's a year ago December or February, I could hardly walk and Otis would always go the extra mile and help me out with my pizza. I am a regular each week and Michelle has been very much a professional and seats me promptly always checking to see if I need anything and that everything was in order. What a pleasant experience. As with Otis, Michelle, and Rodney I would like to give a shout out to Karen, Christina , Sara and Claudio.
