I have been going to Lougheed Laser for a number of years, for IPL, botox, skin treatments, etc. They're expensive so I go about once a year. I visited them recently and had an upsetting experience with Dr. Le. She was "honest" ("I'm just being honest!" she kept saying) past the point of rudeness about my appearance. "You *sort of* have cheekbones?", "I'd be a lot more worried about all these wrinkles here if I were you", "You want to consider major work, looking the way you do" were a few comments. I laughed it off at the time but when I got home I felt hurt, insulted and angry. There are ten million ways to advise someone on their appearance while remaining polite and positive. To be clear, the tech helpers are always friendly and personable; I think the one in the room that day felt very uncomfortable with the Dr's comments. They've lost a long-time customer - I won't go back. read more

It used to be a good clinic but I have found as of late it's more about getting the sales. I had a consult for Morpheus 8 and was sold 3 treatments. They sold me the treatment for skin laxity and texture. It didn't do anything for skin laxity and made my skin texture worse. Don't believe the promises. The consult as just a sales person trying to get her commission. It had nothing to do with what would benefit my skin. I got a refer from a friend for my laser for under arms and Biki.. cost over $1,300 and hairs still growing back right after . Thought this place should be good quality as the cost a lot higher than other shops but it didn't work at all . I gave them 3 start is because they have great service . I was very hopeful seeing great reviews here as I had an extremely bad experience with west side's high end laser centre trying to up-sale me unrelated treatment and facial products. I excitedly made an appointment to do a mole removal treatment, but when I showed up after driving for 50min, the receptionist told me she mistakenly booked me for a hair removal consultation, so I would need to reschedule and come back for it. Been coming to lougheed laser for about a year now and always get great customer service. The ladies at the front and the technicians are always accommodating and empathetic to hear about your struggles (with acne trauma there is always a story). They are also always friendly too- great customer service goes a long way! The products have helped my skin so much and I have had a laser therapy to help as well. I became interest in Laser Hair Removal after a friend recommended I try it. Unfortunately the place she recommended had closed down so I just searched on the internet for a place nearby my work (Burnaby BC). I came across Lougheed Laser which seemed to have a good reputation. I phoned and made a consultation I was terrified actually, and really nervous about the pain factor. The technician met with me, answered all my questions and did a test patch. The staff were friendly and professional. My first appointment (underarms) went wonderfully and I proceeded to purchase a package for both my underarms and bikini. All sessions have now been completed over that last year and I have had around 99% improvement in both areas. Definitely worth the money and the (minor) pain. What I liked most about Lougheed Laser clinic was that it wasn't a spa - it is a clinic that specializes in a variety of skin treatments. They always do a follow up call from the appointments and give referral discounts for friends who you send to the clinic. The cosmetic procedure I was having had been something I had though about for several month, and being on the cusp of summer I thought I would take care of it. Unfortunately the procedure I needed was not covered by my medical, I paid cash and they made me very comfy and the tax was included but I still must say, besides shelling out for rent, that was the single fastest way to spend money. Honestly though, I have just got home and Idid experience some tingling on the way home, but now feel fine! Update: They did contact me and offer a complimentary service which i really appreciate. Will update after the second service. Received the hydrafacial from this centre and was extremely disappointed. I get facials every month or so from a different place and decided to give the hydrafacial at Lougheed Laser a try as a treat to myself. First the facial is $180 so you go in expecting a pretty damn good facial however the treatment is only 45 minutes because the hour long appointment has a 15 minute consult. They talk about how the hydrafacial cleanses the skin thorough and leaves the skin glowing...well that's a lie. Sure my skin looked shiny bc of the product they lathered on but in terms of cleaning...they didn't even do basic extractions well. When I pointed this out at the end of the appointment, the response was to tell me what I was pointing at was pigmentation, not clogged pores. Excuse me, I know my face, I look at it every single day. I went home and got rid of it myself after a hot shower. The customer is always right, especially if you're selling a $180 facial and the customer isn't happy with the result. I also mentioned I expected my skin to look more hydradrated and her response was to blame me for not drinking enough water...I am still nursing so believe me I drink A LOT of water every day. Again instead of owning up to the fact that her facial was not that great she blames me. At this point I realized it was hopeless talking to her. It's a very safe and professional business, and I've been happy with my results every time. I like the staff there and they carry some nice product lines. I love this place. Everyone who works here is very sweet and helpful. Kelly is the medical aesthetician that I usually have my appointments with, but Taylor is awesome too. Kelly developed a wonderful skincare regime for me. My skin now looks so much smoother and brighter than it ever has. All of their products are medical grade - so you can assure that they are effective, unlike the hit and miss products of the drug store. Have had my file forwarded to the company for follow up, and will update again once that has come through. Meanwhile, the experience this time around was far, far better. Always super professional, thorough, patient (especially with me who has an extremely low pain tolerance) and just downright delightful. She is way out of the way for me, but after going to a doctor closer to see if I could get the same results, I know she is well worth the trip! The only reason I created a Yelp account is so I can write my experience with Lougheed Laser Centre. I found out about Lougheed Laser Centre through Instagram. LLC does a great job at promoting their business, and they carry the Dr. Obagi line (which I wanted to try for a long time), so I decided to go ahead and give them a call. I called LLC on Tuesday September 25 to make an appointment to see a specialist. I was told I would need to talk to their Dr. and leave $100 deposit to hold the appointment (for October 24 - a month away), which was totally fine and I said since I will be at the centre why don't I get a treatment while I am there (I booked Hydrofacial). The same day after booking my appointment I decided to stop by at LLC to purchase some products from Dr. Obagi as I was completely out of my face wash, moisturizer and other products. After driving from Langley to Lougheed, the lady at the front desk had no knowledge about the products they selling, which I believe is only three lines - Dr. Obagi, Skin Medica and Elta Md. Since I was completely out of my moisturizer I couldn't leave empty handed so I used Google to find more information about the products they carry. I left LLC unimpressed, but since I already paid the deposit to see a professional, I decided to keep my appointment. Meanwhile I used Yelp to find other Laser Clinic that caries Dr. Obagi. I found Vanity Lab (drove all the way to Yaletown) and let me tell you it was absolutely worth it! Amazing customer service, amazing knowledge of the inventory and got perfect consultation about on-going treatments that I should get for my skin and got a treatment while I was there - I was in a good mood all day after talking to Bob, and purchased $250 worth of Dr. Obagi products (love them too, thank you!!) So yesterday ,October 24, was my appointment and I had to leave work early in order to make it on time. After being stuck in traffic I gave them a call to let them know that I might be a few minutes late, it was then that they told me that my appointment with the Dr. has been cancelled because the Dr. couldn't make it. The girl on the phone told me that they called me and left me a msg on October 19 to let me know that it's been cancelled - I never got the msg and on October 20th I got an emailed asking to confirm my appointment with the Dr, so which one is it? The staff and dr.Fleming are wonderful. She is solely responsible for clearing up my skin and helping me with my routine for anti-ageing. I went to dr Fleming in July of this year for the first time and my skin was totally clear by the beginning of September. I returned for my check up 3 months later and they noticed that there weren't any results and they promised me an extra free session after speaking to the manager. Such an incredible place. Very honest and patient when answering all your questions before your procedure. I went in for a consultation for laser. In my previous experience people just want to say you are treatable and take your money but promise no results. The women I consulted with was so great and honest about how I was not an ideal candidate as my hair is too light. I really appreciated her honesty and their policies here. Worst experience that i have had in a laser center! I went in to inquire about their fractional laser treatment for acne scaring. I have had several treatments in the past at other clinics and it has helped a lot. I had to pay a $100 for the consultation, and only got to see the doctor for 5 minutes. During which time she was more interested in pushing the line of skin care products her business sells rather than answer my questions about which laser would be best for me. I realize now how ripped off I have been, having my botox done at this facility. I have consistently paid between three and four hundred dollars, only to see very little result. I now have my dentist do my botox, for 8-dollars a unit, and my entire forehead is smooth. It cost me $235. The difference is absolutely astonishing - I deeply resent all of the patronage I gave Lougheed Laser. Their botox is either watered down, expired, or they're just giving you way less than what you've paid for. Also, I believe Lougheed Laser offers a ridiculous variety of skin care "procedures" that have proven to give little, or no results whatsoever. They will take your money, and when you're left with not a single visible change, there is no accountability. I love coming to Lougheed laser! The staff are super nice and very helpful when it comes to finding the right treatments for you. I'm currently doing sessions for laser hair removal and I've noticed a massive difference already. I've also been to Lougheed Laser for their Hydra-Facial and it's incredible, definitely a must before any big trip or event. And lastly they have a lash growing serum that is absolute magic. Next time you're in ask about Latisse because it changed my life, my lashes are incredible now and that's not something I would normally be able to say. read more

Dr. Fleming is exceptional and the staff are good. They put me on their Nuderm acne treatment for half a year with no improvement. This is a very costly regimen of about $500 and it didn't work for me. Since then I started to follow acne.org regimen and now I have clear beautiful skin. I would not recommend this clinic for acne treatment but I would return if I need other services in the future. read more

Someone recommended this to me so I went for a consultation for my scar on my knee. I paid $100 for the consulation but that money can go towards any treatment after. Its quite expensive they were telling me that each treatment for my scar is worth $300 each and needed at least 5 treatments. so I just booked for my microderbrasion and didnt pursue for the laser. As of microdermbrasion it only takes 15-20 minutes is that worth a $100? i dont think so i would rather go somewhere else. I found a better place in burnaby under Dr. horton he is pretty good and reasonable price with free consultation my treatment is only $100 each with IPL laser and fraxel. I witnessed the Dr treat one of the front desk staff like garbage and then 2 seconds later put on a big fake smile as if nothing had happened. If you've got sensitive skin, this is not the place to get your products. After my dad used a product they recommended (after he specifically told them he had sensitive skin) he came back after it turned his skin red and blotchy. They recommended another product which then made his skin way worse. He's now had red itchy stinging swollen skin for a week now and has had to go to the doctor to get prescription medication to heal. If you've been warned that a client had sensitive skin and a product caused a reaction, why would you sell another product that would make it worse. What makes this experience even worse is that when confronted about this issue, they suggested it wasn't their product that did this but because my dad doesn't use moisturizer during the cold weather. So it's a coincidence that this happened after using your products? Take responsibility for your mistakes other than just offering a refund for the product as if you're doing us a favour. read more
