As Jeannie is the only one working, the spa is not a good option for groups. Numbing cream was applied beforehand and made the procedure more comfortable. Pain tolerance is different for everyone, but I did not find the procedure that bad. If you have a very low pain tolerance, you should consult with Jeannie what are your options such as applying numbing cream before showing up to an appointment. Service was professional and friendly. The procedure was called "Skin Classic." The procedure reminded me of thermocoagulation. Prices for the spa services was reasonable. I was out in 45 minutes and continued my day.

Since I've started going to SKN I've had a few different facials and have made the gradual switch to using most of their facial products line. The facials immediately made my skin feel so much better, moisturized and smooth. I enjoy the calming and peacefulness of the treatment rooms and the professionalism of the staff. I'm sure they're all great but Danielle is my favourite; so knowledgeable, professional, kind and really listens to try and figure out what is best for you. She was able to diagnose and start treating the part of my facial skin I disliked the most right away (melasma discolored skin due to sun/hormones). I am genuinely happy with my skin now. The goal in my mind when I went there was to eventually feel comfortable going without makeup on any given day - mission accomplished! It's no longer something I think about besides when I'm using my products and feeling thankful for them and the hard work they do. I should note one of the things that impressed me the most about SKN was the lack of pressure to buy products. During facials they inquire as to what you use on your skin and appear to try to work with what you've got but suggest a few small changes. I also left my first facial with several samples, which was very helpful as I could see if it was a routine that worked for me (it totally did, very easy). I've also tried their laser hair removal and highly recommend it, minimally painful and again, professional and thorough. Given the quality of the technicians, space, products, service and overall experience I find that their prices are reasonable. They also have an online product store now (pick up or have it delivered) and they seem to have monthly specials on products and services. No care in the world except to focus on the 5% they charged me to reimburse a package of treatments. Their website makes booking appointments online quite easy and they have monthly specials they advertise from time to time. A few days before I was asked to answer an intake questionnaire so I knew something was going to be different. There's also reminders with a completely fair cancellation policy stated. When I arrived the door was locked but I was let in by Beatriz. They confirmed my appointment and welcomed me to the manicure station. I noticed the space was clean, well-maintained and had a fresh scent of essential oils. I was offered a beverage several times and took them up on their offer. Kelly took the time to understand what I was looking for and got to work on my Gel Manicure. What I noticed right away is she spent a lot of time cleaning under my nails, the sides and my nail bed. Usually this is done haphazardly at other places to ensure the polish is even but there was a certain technique and experience at play here. I was wanting to catch up on some YouTube videos and she was very accommodating with that request and checked in with me to make sure pressure was good and I wasn't feeling any pain and was comfortable. The Gel Mani lasted 75 minutes and included a massage with a blend of essentials oils and moisturizers. During my service she greeted everyone else who came in quite warmly on a first name basis and I felt a very nice community vibe in this space. After a quick bio break we transitioned to the Pedicure. I was offered another beverage and this time got some coffee which was served with a madeleine. She asked me if I had any concerns with my feet that she could help me with and took the time to clean my feet and nails before starting on the polish. She was able to get me a colour I wanted to try and also sealed it with gel for protection offering to help me fix it if needed. She said hi and bye to several people during the course of the treatment. It was super relaxing and it was just great to such a warm and welcoming environment. They take credit cards for payment and can email you an invoice which was great for me! The price was reasonable for the digital booking system, convenient location and the amount of care and attention given to my hands and feet. I left feeling relaxed, rejuvenated and taken care of.
