I ordered a light from Louielighting that I needed to return. After an email, they sent me a return code & informed me that I was responsible for return shipping. I paid $80 to ship a $300 light back to them. Months later and multiple unreturned emails- no refund has been issued. I even sent them the ups tracking confirmation of the returned light being received at their business. I am now out the $300 for the light plus the $80 I paid to ship it back to them. Terrible company to buy from. We ordered two light fixtures from Louie lighting. The first one came, we installed it, and realized the screw slots for holding the glass stuck out too far so the glass wouldn't fit. We returned it and they wouldn't refund us because it was installed. It was Defective! We had already replaced it before they told us they wouldn't refund us. Now we're stuck with a light we don't need. The second light fixture came and we decided we didn't like it. So we returned it. We got confirmation that they received it, but didn't get our refund. We emailed twice. After a week, no response, no refund. We had to call them and essentially chase down our money. Would not recommend dealing with this company. What a headache. read more

I have emailed LouieLighting, I have called Louie Lighting, I've attempted to use the links in their email and their busted website, I have left a message for LouieLighting, I am now on hold w/LouieLighting for 57:27 and counting. They tell fucking jokes on their hold message: Q: "What is an elephant that doesn't matter?" A: "It's irrelephant." Do you have any idea how many times I've had to listen to this?? I own a boutique in a historic building and achieving the proper amount of light to showcase my merchandise is always a challenge in my space. I found the site easy to navigate, and the selection of brands/products to be quite extensive and well organized. Receiving a quote was quick and easy, and the ordering process was user-friendly. I really like this company. I had a landscape lighting project for my home that I had been thinking about for some time and needed help in designing it and in getting the right equipment and lights to do the job. I wanted to do it myself too, so I could learn and also save money. Louie Lighting was so helpful to me on my project. They helped me design it, showed me, over the internet, the various light fixtures to consider and ordered all the products I needed. Their internet site is extensive and is also easy to navigate and ues. The shipments came quickly and when I began working on it, they patiently explained how I should do the project so that it would work just like i wanted it to. Yikes! Beware of this company. We will never buy from them again. We ordered 14 Livex Lighting rods on 3/16. On 3/18 we received an email that they were backordered until June. We immediately requested a cancelation of the order and explained that it was because we could not wait until June for them. Our cancelation request was denied because they said they had already shipped the order, which seemed strange given the backorder email we received but we were hopeful that maybe we got the last of them. When the shipment arrived later that month, there were only 7 rods, not the 14 that were in the order. After getting the runaround from their customer service department, we were finally told that the remaining 7 rods were backordered. So basically they locked us into the purchase by sending only half the order knowing that the rest we needed wouldn't come for another three months? Very unprofessional and disappointing. read more

I I then received emails from paypal and Louie Lighting almost a week later saying my order was cancelled and would be refunded. The emails did not explain why the order was cancelled, I did not cancel it. I reached out to Louie Lighting and received no explanation. read more

Would never do business with this company again!! ... Purchased a $250 ceiling light from its website on 12/27, arrived about 2 weeks later. The product was defective that the holes to attach cover and the holes on the covers do not line up, so we couldn't attach the cover. We used an electrician to install all the new lights, he had to spent extra time doing some chiseling to make it work. I called the company to explain the situation and requested for reimbursement of $40 for the extra electrician time I had to pay. The person I spoke to Chilla who was the sales manager, was the most rude person I've ever encountered - she was impatient, cutting me off regularly instead of hearing me, when I asked for her name she started to raise her voice on me, I asked for her supervisor, she told me she was the supervisor, I asked to speak to her boss, she said it was a small company and the owner was traveling and couldn't speak to me. I was infuriated at the point, and said I would just return the defective product, she told me I couldn't because I had already opened the package and installed it, and told me to go read up about the return policy on the website, which is www.louielighting.com. It's one thing to have a product that's not working as expected, but the customer service experience was horrific!! read more

The past few years I have been almost exclusively purchasing items online. I decided recently to add some lights to my front yard and found this company online. They have an extensive line of products and I could not determine between 2 that I found which would work best. I called the company and the lady I spoke with was very helpful and knowledgeable. She directed me to the path light that would work the best for me. Prices were good, I received my path lights quickly and I have received compliments already from my neighbors! I would recommend this company and will use again if I need to do anymore updates or yard work. read more

If I could give less than one star I would. I ordered a product and received the product without issue and in a timely manner. From that point on it has been a nightmare. I understand we are in the middle of unprecedented times but even taking that into consideration the lack of customer service is astounding!! I started a return process online. I was supposed to get an email giving me instructions to return the items. Weeks and weeks go by and several emails and phone calls from me to no avail. I finally received an email and then a second email as if they didn't know they had even sent the first. I promptly returned the item when I received the first email. By the time the second email came through, not only had I returned it but they had received it. I sent them an email telling them that. No response. You can't get a person on the phone. The item was returned and received at the address they instructed me to return it to on June 24th. We are now in September and still no refund and nor response to my numerous attempts to get a hold of somebody. Be warned if there is any chance you will need to return an item and receive a refund you will want to stay far away from this place. read more

I ordered a light kit for a ceiling fan. When I received it, the glass shade was broken. When I contacted Louie Lighting, Liz could not have been nicer. She offered to replace it and/or suggested that I could look through theirs and the manufacturer's catalogs for something else. When I decided to replace it, they sent another ASAP. Be careful about ordering online and interacting with a sales person through their chat app. I interacted with two people, one named Liz and one named Csilla. I was looking for a specific item and needed it asap. Thus I was only going to buy it from someone who had it in stock. They did not match the price quote I had from somewhere else, but it was close enough so I agreed. They both assured me that they had it in stock and sent me the order form. I signed and sent it, but out of an abundance of caution I wrote in my e-mail that this order form was contingent upon the item being stock and the credit card authorization was only valid if the items was in stock. 10 min after I sent the signed purchase order form, I received an e-mail that they did not have it in stock and that it was in back order. It would take 6-8 weeks to get it. I immediately sent an e-mail to cancel it. I will be looking out on my credit card statement that they don't go ahead and charge it. It was a blatant misrepresentation or really a lie, to get me to sign the purchase order. I am disgusted. Must be company policy. Two sales people both can't be that incompetent not to see they don't carry the item or too lazy to check. They must have checked and only after they got the purchase order verified the info they gave me. read more
