After paying a small entrance fee, we were able to visit with the alpacas and the owner, Brian. He explained to us that alpacas can be fairly standoffish and are startled by sudden movements--as are most animals. He was surprised to see that two of the alpacas came right up to us and that they all eventually laid down. That was a sign that they were comfortable with us. He went on to tell us that all of the alpacas at the farm are rescues, either from neglectful owners, or from people who are simply retiring. It is his dream to be able to rescue many alpacas, and you can see that he loves them. The products inside the store are also very well made and I would recommend anything to anyone. This is a farm and store that operates with love, and you can tell the moment you walk in.
