We rolled into Corner Brook too late for a sit down restaurant. We were tired and very hungry after our drive from St. Anthony's. We called our hotel from the road and asked for suggestions. The desk clerk told us there were several restaurants on State. What we did not know was that State is a one way, going opposite, so our GPS kept trying to tell us we had arrived...at a parking lot. When we finally figured it out, we parked at Louis Gee's. He had a sausage pizza, and I, a donnair, because a guy picking up his dinner said I couldn't be in Newfoundland without eating one. I ordered a medium. Don't. Unless there are at least three people hungry. This is a major investment in time in eating and digestion. Next time, I'd split a small! read more

On a recent trip to Corner Brook, I asked around for a good pizza place and this was the one suggested. I had their vegetarian pizza and felt quite ill the next day. It also tasted sort of meaty (only a vegan or vegetarian will know what I mean). I also had their fries, which were ok but when I asked if they were cooked in lard, the server said no, but rudely. I won't be going back and I'm still feeling that pizza and it was three days since i ate it. Maybe they didn't like my glasses. read more

The staff at Louis Gees are always polite and accommodating. This place is known for their donair. They use quality ingredients and put the customer first every time. If you have a donair just be sure to know that a large is enough for two or one really really hungry person. I'm drooling just writing this. Great pizza and fast service. I have been going to Louis Gee's for about 16 years now, and since that time (despite a business relocation) the pizza has changed very little. While Pizza and Donairs are their two main selling items, they do offer a whole menu of salads and pasta as well. My recommendation is the Polish Slice, a large slice of pizza topped with donair meat and donair sauce. read more

Put it this way, I know somebody who ordered pizza from here 7 years ago that is yet to be delivered. Putting that aside, I feel the same as the other two people who reviewed. I got a few different pizzas over the years:cheese, cheese, onions, and pineapple, and their standard vegetarian pizza. What I can say is that they never changed. I did not enjoy their pizza as a kid, and when I gave it two retries as an adult I can say I wasn't just being a picky kid. The cheese is like cardboard, the pizza itself is all crust, no sauce, and toppings are mediocre at best. All in all, I advise you to save your money and go to Pizza Delight, or even make your own pizza, because even an amateur could do better than this! Not to mention, they suddenly changed their prices without putting a notice anywhere so the last time I ordered, I got the surprise of the order costing far more than usual! read more
