The last 3 years I saw him, I expressed concern that my vision in my left eye was progressively impaired. He shrugged it off, saying it was just floaters. I finally decided to go to a different opthalmologist as I was not happy with the impersonal attitude of all staff and Dr Kim, and I continued to have concerns about my eyesight. At my first visit with my new opthalmologist I was advised that I have retinal toxicity in both eyes and that the toxicity is quite progressed in my left eye as a result of taking Plaquenil. Marin Eyes took 4 months to send my records to my new doctor. After reviewing the records, it was clear that I had developed the retinal toxicity years before and Dr Kim had missed the diagnosis. I immediately stopped taking Plaquenil but it was too late. I now have irreparable damage to my vision, and can no longer drive at night. Had Dr Kim diagnosed the toxicity when it first appeared on the scans, I would have stopped taking Plaquenil then and my vision would not have been impacted. Is Dr Kim incompetent and doesn't know how to identify retinal toxicity, or does he just not care? Please take care of yourselves and stay away from Marin Eyes, and particularly Dr Kim.

The lower blepharoplasty required general anesthesia, which I was dreading, but everything worked out like magic. I woke up from the anesthesia as if I were emerging from a nap. After the bruising subsided in about two weeks, I noticed a significant change--from my eyes looking tired and droopy to appearing energetic and youthful. A Life-Changing Experience…read more I recently underwent cataract surgery with Dr. Najafi where she expertly replaced my cataracts with intraocular lenses (IOLs). I will admit I was hesitate and concerned about anything relating to my eyes. I have had other surgeries but anything to do with my eyes are different. Dr. Najafi is very conservative. She did surgery and replaced my cataract with an IOL in the first eye. We then waited over 2 weeks to determine the results...which were excellent. Then we replaced the cataract with and IOL in the 2nd eye...with the same excellent results. I couldn't be happier. From the very first consultation to the post-operative follow-ups, Dr. Najafi and her amazing team made me feel informed, comfortable and genuinely cared for. I cannot recommend him and wanted to post to prevent others from making the same mistake I did. I had the WORST experience, even though he was referred through a friend of mine. She was able to provide great advice, references and general support, and although wasn't accepting new patients, was willing to take on our family. We will be bringing our baby here when she's born in March, and it's comforting to know she's already in good hands!
