Considering all the stress that day-to-day life can bring, work-related or otherwise, it can be hard to slow down and take a breath on your own. Counting/breathing exercises or meditation tracks can be helpful at times, but in-person human guidance is something that can never truly be replaced. Megan's tone and attitude in our session was warm with concern, care, and attentive presence. Even in a group setting, where I'm normally prone to social anxiety and "Am I doing this right?" introspection, I felt myself ease into a level of relaxation and comfort. Visiting her required less than an hour of my day; it was time that I was happy to give, and time that she was more than ready to use for transforming my negative thoughts/anxieties into positive and in-the-moment reflections. I showed up dreading the humdrum activities of tomorrow, but I left enjoying the air in my lungs, feeling the energy in my body, and savoring even the smallest details of an average day's routine. The short and sweet of it all: I'd definitely recommend her as guide to mindfulness and mental relaxation!

I would sum up MIke's commitment to emotional health in three words: dedicated, experienced, and down to earth. I have been seeing Mike for about 2 years. I have been diagnosed bipolar and maintain a relationship with a counselor on a regular basis. Thankfully, I crossed paths with Mike and continue to see him on an as needed basis. He is sincere in his interests to serve you as his patient. He offers appointments on occasion that are outside his normal schedule. Most importantly, he offered assistance to my family and a family member that surpassed any expectation I would have ever had. I texted him and he read between the lines. I was able to phone him and discuss my concerns. His dedication and reaction to my situation in his approximate words, "I would not have wanted you to schedule an appointment and have waited to discuss this then. Of course I don't mind the call." I just can't say enough about his genuine interest to help his patients.

Therapy is a place to slow things down, understand the patterns underneath the problem, and begin building healthier ways to communicate and move forward. Michael’s approach is grounded, relational, and practical. The work is not about blame or quick fixes. It is about helping people better understand themselves and each other, repair trust when possible, and create meaningful change in daily life. For couples, therapy can help address communication struggles, disconnection, resentment, conflict, infidelity, and rebuilding trust. For families, therapy may focus on parent-child conflict, co-parenting dynamics, reunification, emotional regulation, and helping children feel supported through transition. The office is inside the historic Bowman Field Administration Building. New clients can book directly online or reach out with questions before scheduling.

Seeing Dr Kristin Gosden has been more compasionate, understanding, and more knowledgeable then any other Doctor i have ever encountered. Talking to her felt no different then talking to your best friend, and she helps resolved the underlying conditions leading to my diagnosis. I can truly say God has blessed me by putting her and the rest of the staff at senseable physciatry in mt life. Thank you Kristin Gosden/staff and God

I had never been to counseling/therapy before and also never for learning disabilities or the like. I had no expectation other than to be a friendly place where I could get answers and a solution. I found both here. There are several providers in the office, including 1 psychiatrist, 1 nurse practitioner who specializes in psychiatric/mental health services, and 2 licensed social workers. I initially saw, Carrie Schanie (nurse practitioner), and never considered switching to anyone else. She is thorough and makes you feel like her time with you matters. She always listens to your answers to her questions or comments and she actually responds genuinely instead of just moving on like some medical providers often do. I actually enjoy going in for my maintenance/check ups and truly feel like she cares. She definitely goes above and beyond to make her clients feel important and valued. I have a friend who has also seen her and confirms all the positives as well. I always find the staff at the front desk to be friendly and efficient too. They work with you on questions you might have about your insurance, medication refills, etc. If you are looking for a clean, comfortable, consistent, and friendly office for your mental health needs...call them and hope that they're accepting new patients!
