Considering all the stress that day-to-day life can bring, work-related or otherwise, it can be hard to slow down and take a breath on your own. Counting/breathing exercises or meditation tracks can be helpful at times, but in-person human guidance is something that can never truly be replaced. Megan's tone and attitude in our session was warm with concern, care, and attentive presence. Even in a group setting, where I'm normally prone to social anxiety and "Am I doing this right?" introspection, I felt myself ease into a level of relaxation and comfort. Visiting her required less than an hour of my day; it was time that I was happy to give, and time that she was more than ready to use for transforming my negative thoughts/anxieties into positive and in-the-moment reflections. I showed up dreading the humdrum activities of tomorrow, but I left enjoying the air in my lungs, feeling the energy in my body, and savoring even the smallest details of an average day's routine. The short and sweet of it all: I'd definitely recommend her as guide to mindfulness and mental relaxation!

I saw Lauren Lazarus for my first assessment and when I tell you it was a game changer, I mean it. This was the first time I felt like I'd been truly heard by a medical professional and she made me feel like I had hope and wasn't just someone looking for drugs. I wish insurance would cover it, but if you have the ability to finance it, I highly recommend going to The Couch. I've done both the in-person and Telehealth and both options were great. The rest of the office staff is very friendly, in regards to scheduling or talking to another nurse regarding medication. As a tip, they usually don't answer the phone right away but they're fairly quick with responding to messages.

This year I was prescribed a new medication and because of how hard it was to get into contact, and to schedule an appointment I would go one month with medication and then one or two months without it. Also making an appointment is very hard. It typically takes me about a week to even reach them or have them call me back. They also won't refill your prescriptions if you need to have a appointment but they do not call you or communicate to you that you need to have an appointment. I have also found the front desk people to be quite rude. However, there's been a new girl who's been answering the phone who has been lovely.

I would sum up MIke's commitment to emotional health in three words: dedicated, experienced, and down to earth. I have been seeing Mike for about 2 years. I have been diagnosed bipolar and maintain a relationship with a counselor on a regular basis. Thankfully, I crossed paths with Mike and continue to see him on an as needed basis. He is sincere in his interests to serve you as his patient. He offers appointments on occasion that are outside his normal schedule. Most importantly, he offered assistance to my family and a family member that surpassed any expectation I would have ever had. I texted him and he read between the lines. I was able to phone him and discuss my concerns. His dedication and reaction to my situation in his approximate words, "I would not have wanted you to schedule an appointment and have waited to discuss this then. Of course I don't mind the call." I just can't say enough about his genuine interest to help his patients.
