Stage One has recently tucked Walden Theatre under their brand umbrella, another long standing group of 50 years. It's making their season schedule robust for families. You can purchase tickets by selected shows or as a subscription. As a non-profit, you can also support them by donation and help expose children to stories and theater. If you have young children in your life, I encourage you to treat them to this experience.

My personal opinion, I think sections A&B as well as E&F offer some of the better viewing options. Seating is first come, first serve so if you'd like a closer seat get there a smidge early. There are refreshments you can buy prior to the show and take them with you inside the theater. Overall, the play was great, staff helpful, and the experience just amazing. Parking is up to you as far as where you decide. If you park in the garage below the theater it's about $10. There is also street parking with meters. I opted to park about a 1/2block away and paid $5. I definitely will be on the lookout for future plays to come see and make a trip back!

It supports stories of the LGBTQ+ community and always makes me laugh, cry or both. Subscription prices are reasonable and can offer flexibility when you need it. Last night I bought a ticket at the door for an impromptu meet up with my best friend. Seats are comfy and the theater space is intimate. Cocktails are available and they always have a special drink for the show theme. They are great at email and social media communication. Just a lovely group to support.

The acoustics are good too. You lose a bit of good vibes not having downtown at your doorstep, but hey, a good opportunity to hit one of the good Mexican restaurants on the sunny side on your way to the show.

The technique is already being taught at 3 years old and the choreography is age appropriate and adorable. Mrs. Kristal makes sure to spend the full time with the girls and gives her full attention and doesn't allow any distractions. I feel like the price is fare for a 45 min class once a week. We also got to have a parent view night where we got to come in and watch them perform. We cannot wait to for the recital to see the final piece and what the years have to bring us with Dance Fusion.

I had never knew Theatre Works of Southern Indiana existed before but was curious to check it out since New Albany has been revitalizing its main street businesses. The #SoIn movement is in! I honestly didn't know what I was expecting when I bought the tickets. I figured, it's one Friday that I never have off so I may as well attend a theatre show for some entertainment. The building is situated right on main street adjacent to Gospel Bird (hint hint, hit this eatery up for some pre show eats!) and is very easy to find. There are many public parking spaces to find and it's just a short 3 minute walk to the theatre. The space is VERY small. It is an older, historic building that has some art deco themes running through it and is rich and full of eye candy with the architecture. They somehow make the space work. My first thought was how they were going to put on a production such as Titanic: the Musical, the grandest, largest ship, in such a small space. Answer: They are theatre and stage hand geniuses! All the built in spaces that they utilized throughout the play amazed me. The performers varied in age and all were absolutely amazing, their voices, singing, and acting were all spot on. The staff was superb! Everyone was friendly and very inviting. When you walk into the theatre to be seated you have the option of preordering a treat/dessert that is served at intermission. Intermission allows for the second floor to be opened where there are restrooms, a large gathering area, and refreshments that are available for purchase. There was a bar open on the first floor before the show and a bar open on the second floor during intermission. I am so glad I ventured out on this whim of a curiosity purchase became I love any type of theatre and this one specifically is an inclusive, non-profit theatre company. Theatre Works of Southern Indiana really works with local artists, performers, and technicians to be able to bring this amazing cultural experience to a part of downtown New Albany. I think it is a great addition to the #SoIn experience! I will definitely be looking into season ticket purchases as they are decently priced! Great experiences and such a great performance! The cast from the show even stayed outside to meet with the patrons!

Louisville Orchestra is a Louisville treasure!…read more We are so lucky to have it as well as music director Teddy Abrams here. I recently attended "Sounds of a New Nation," which involved such a thoughtful program celebrating the founding of this country. It included Schuman's "New England Triptych," Ives' "New England Holiday" and Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 9, a work composed the same year the U.S. declared independence. And Abrams seemed so excited to bring this to life. His joy is infectious! Most recently, we brought our kids to see the "OrKIDStra" program -- their first orchestra experience. They loved it! Next we're excited to see "Rhapsody in Blue." Other points of pride: * The LO became the first orchestra to create its own record label, First Edition Records. * It was one of the only orchestras to stay active during COVID by pioneering safe in-person and virtual performances. * It won its first-ever Grammy Award in February 2024 for Best Classical Instrumental Solo. * In 2023, the LO performed a historic, world-premiere concert inside Mammoth Cave National Park featuring world-renowned cellist Yo-Yo Ma. There's nothing like seeing beautiful, thoughtful music performed live, and the Louisville Orchestra is among the best.

The event is well run and very organized with parking and traffic flow. They provide some much needed bit of classical music. The organizers do a great job pulling this together. If you get the chance in July to attend take advantage.
