We went to see The Hail Mary Project yesterday, matinee with senior prices. We bought our tickets online the day before, picked our seats and just self checked in with the scanner and the bar code in my email. Really easy. It was not crowded, seats laid back and were comfortable. Air temperature was also good in the theatre. Although we did have pillows and a blanket in case we needed it. All equipment worked well, movie ran smoothly and the staff was there to clean up after us as we were leaving the theater and ready it for the next showing. Staff was friendly, plenty of parking and lots of showtime offerings. The movie was great. Funny, sad, touching, emotional. It is heart warming. Full array of snacks for purchase. Bathrooms and the theatre were clean. read more

My partner and I went here last Sunday (7/26) and I am floored at the mismanagement of this theater. Things I noticed as a fellow service industry worker: -When it's a busy Sunday and you expect your regular rush of people, it makes zero sense to have 8 people taking orders and 1 person cooking. People would much rather wait in line to order than wait for their food. -This location had ONE individual working in the open kitchen. This individual was very clearly in the weeds and needed support whether they asked for it or not. I saw TWO managers in black shirts (one man, one woman) with ear pieces walk into and by this kitchen and do nothing. The male manager was behind the counter in the kitchen multiple times essentially ignoring the staff member really struggling. It was clear to my partner and I that this staff member was getting close to breaking down - rightfully so - and it was really awful to see. -customers ahead of us in line got very verbally upset and instead of a MANAGER coming to do the work that a manager is responsible for, they allowed this poor staff member take all of the heat for something that was 100% not their fault. Truthfully, I think the managers and the one other staff member I saw in the kitchen (who was being incredibly rude to the struggling worker) owe her a MASSIVE apology. Unless the ear piece managers had something of exponential importance going on - there was absolutely no reason they should have ignored her and walked away. It was really uncomfortable to watch and frankly, this was enough to make me not want to return. I know I am just one person but I know that if I saw it, others did too. The managers here are not what I would consider managers if they actively avoid a problem and upset customers. I hope that the one staff member in the kitchen finds a place that will speak to her with respect and grace instead of belittling and rolling eyes at her. Seeing a movie at Cinemark Preston Crossings was a great experience this weekend. I hadn't visited this movie theatre before but was happy with the experience and would visit again. We had mobile tickets so it was a quick walk through the lobby before the movie. The lobby and bathrooms were clean. The adjustable seats were so comfy and the movable tray was great to hold any items. I thought the temperature was just fine, though I had a jacket because I run cold! read more

This theatre isn't as close to me as several others and after visiting I also wouldn't recommend it over others. I didn't spend much time in the lobby but the lines for the concession were lengthy so we decided to pass on popcorn and drinks. The gentleman taking our tickets was friendly and the bathroom was tolerable. I wasn't a fan of the seating. The seats don't recline fully and they leave your legs at a weird angle. If you have a purse it has to sit in your lap because it can stabilize at the end of chair. And the tray tables are in the way, plus feel dirty. I'm appreciative this set up isn't the norm at other theaters. Otherwise, sound quality at the theater was nice and no issues viewing our movie. read more

It's worth it just for the discount on snacks. I always order tickets on app, It allows me to use my credits and choose our seats. There is never a line at kiosk to pick up tickets. Be sure when you scan QR code select print. I had two different orders and did not print one, so I had to stop in at movie counter. We went and seen Alien Romulus this morning at the XD theater. Sound was amazing the screen was amazing! The seats were showing their age, mine had some tears in it. I would have given a 4 or 5 star review but being we arrived when they opened I would expect fresh popcorn. What we received was cold and chewy. I knew I was gambling when I could see none of the machines was popping corn. The place had just opened, call me old fashioned but when I walk into a theater I'm use to being greeted with the smell of fresh popcorn. Been coming here since they opened love have a theater close to home. But I don't think it's asking too much to be served something fresh for the price you pay. read more

Preston crowing 16 is a cinema located in the okolona portion of Lousiville just a few miles before the bullitt county or hill view areas just off Preston Highway By the gene Snyder expressway. Ive been a long time and frequent visitor of this theatre that is owned currently by Cinemark. I'm actually a Cinemark theatre member and that is something. I'd recommend any frequent visitor to become. Cheaper and better deals. Over the years they have upgraded this thats nicely. All seats are lather, recline and have heaters and individual trays now. Super comfortable and a great environment to watch a movie in. Regardless of which theatre owns this building I'll always have great nostalgic memories here from early dates with my wife back in high school to probably the over 50 cartoons, Pixar, marvel and Star Wars movies I've brought my kids to over the last 13 years. I will say in my opinion. Cinemark has been the best owner. Overall I love going to the movies and we do it quite frequently. One of my favorite bonding environments for my kids and it's hard to beat the excitement of the big screen. read more

This theater is gross. Don't get me wrong, I love Cinemark and I'm a long time movie club member. Luckily, I live an equal distance from Tinseltown and Preston Crossing 16. I will ALWAYS choose Tinseltown over Preston if I can. It started when I went to the bathroom before the movie. It stunk heavily if urine and the floors were wet with soggy toilet paper on the ground. I washed my hands and there were no paper towels. I went to the bathroom on the way out, and still no paper towels or any attempt to clean it up. Also, the toilet was loosely connected to the wall and the stall doors were peeling and damaged. Then, we got into the theater and the little trays that swivel out were sticky and disgusting. I went to let the recliner out and my seat didn't work at all. This part isn't necessarily the theater's fault, but I don't have this happen at any other theater I attend. Multiple people were talking loudly and had their phone screens lit up the ENTIRE movie. This was on both sides of us. I contemplated moving seats...it was that bad. I almost didn't go this theater today. We were going to see a movie at Tinseltown but the showtimes just didn't line up with our schedule. My daughter had her heart set on seeing the movie today, so I caved. Lesson learned, though. Man it is 2021 and I haven't been to a movie theater in over a year unfortunately. We wanted to support the theater industry that has struggled with extended shutdowns due to the pandemic. Cinemark is all on board with the CDC guidelines. We witnessed masks, gloves, distancing protocol and frequent sanitation procedures. The staff were over the top cheerful and made us feel like royalty. We purchased tickets and chose seats online as well as requested our refreshments to be delivered to our seats. When we left a troup of 6 employees were waiting to start the sanitation process. We went on a Wednesday right before Thanksgiving. It was perfect. There was almost no one there. No lines and barely anyone in the theatre. The process to order tickets was smooth. We were able to pick our seats with no issues and far away from other people. I love the seats at this theatre. They have heated recliner seats with trays to sit your food and drinks on. Isn't that relaxing? I love it. This is one of our fav places because of the seats. We feel at home. We also felt safe because we were away from people and it wasn't crowded at all. Since covid, it seems like their meals like hamburger, fries, chicken and pizza are not available. Mainly the basics like popcorn, hot dogs and candy. That's perfectly fine. I get that. This is the closet movie theater to us. This is a hit and miss. Sometimes they seem like they know what their doing and sometimes they don't. A prime example: there's usually two registers on each line. Some employees if not most make customers line up in one line making the next customer go to the left and then to the right instead of firming two lines. This is so inconvenience. Especially when there's a new movie out. There was also an incident when Aladdin came out and the sound was so loud it was muffled. The popcorn is good. Hate they stopped the simply popcorn. We usually go here because it's the closest theater to our house. There's usually an enormous wait for concessions and the concession staff is typically not the friendliest. However, we love this theater being a part of Cinemark since we are subscribers to their movie plan. We also like their popcorn! The new recliner seats help as well. read more

I hadn't been to this theater since I was a kid so I wasn't sure what condition it was in but I was pleasantly surprised. When we walked in there was so many people. The line for the wait was long so we bought our tickets online on the website and allowed the greeter to scan the barcode. This was super convenient and a great way to avoid the crowd. We had a little time so we headed straight to the bar for a couple of shots to get date night started. The bartender was great he introduced us to a new to us drink (knobs creek) and it was just what we needed to loosen up on our kid free night. I loved the aesthetic at the bar I literally could've sat there all night. It was a vibe. The shots were expensive but that was expected 2 double shots of top shelf cost $30 but hey yolo. The seats in the theater I absolutely love they have the black recliners and it's super spacious. This was one of the things I was worried about because there weren't anymore end seats to choose from but getting in and out of the aisle was a breeze plenty of room to let people through. The seats are great. The place works well. The movie goers are terrible though, and I wish this theatre, or any, would work harder to enforce phones being off and people not talking. Absolutely disgusting. I understand short staffing but every touchable surface from the food counter to the seats were sticky. The bathrooms were ALL Closed and the one i did go into was disgusting. I had to move the caution tape to go into the bathroom because you cant just close all your bathrooms. The projector screen was dirty and had clear spots of something on it, i used to work in a theater and i am not sure how you mess up a screen like that. Trash on the floors, no vacuum had been used in a LONG time, my shoes stuck to the floor like soda had been spilled on every inch of the floor. It just felt so gross. This was the first time in a long time that I had been to Preston 16 but it was pitiful. I've made sure my family and friends have not gone back since. This was during the screening of "The King's Man", just took me a while to write the review. read more

Visited this theatre for the first time in about 3 years. It has always been not the worst, but definitely not the best theatre around. We usually drive farther for better service and seats. I was very surprised to see they have (sort of) remodeled. The seats were super comfy! They are heated, lounge back, and have a tray for snacking. The update would have me coming back. The big turn off for me was that you have to "reserve" your seats when you buy your tickets. I would rather just walk into the theatre and pick a seat. What if I want to love? What if I don't like the seats I reserved? If they would hire more friendly staff and lost the reserved seating, this would be my go to theatre. read more

So we do come here often because it's close and we love the Tuesday night discounted prices. However, it's falling apart. I'm not sure if it's because Cinemark bought it because it was not bad when Rave ran it. However, there is a long list of bad going on here now. A/C often does not work in the theaters although it's always fine in the lobby. There are like 20 screens here and we come in regularly to catch a movie. The lobby and halls are fine while the theaters are often stale and hot. It seems they have raised the thermostat to save money or something, but it's consistently warm to hot and stuffy and smelly. The theaters all stink. Yes it could be the A/C but they often smell like vomit or other really bad stuff, sometimes it's hard to enter them and you have to just hope to get used to it. The seats, they were never broken with Rave, they are often broken now. Sure I know some people are flakes and destroy the seats, I get that. But the management has to keep them repaired and they don't seem to do it anymore. Sound bleeds through. I think generally the sound is good in all the theaters regardless of the size here. however some of them are cranked up so loud that you hear all the loud parts from the neighboring theaters during softer parts in the movie your watching. Bathrooms. They are also neglected. Often they are over running, broken sinks and toilets, wet floors and smell bad. Lots of people use them and it's going to take regular cleaning and repair which the management or the owners just don't seem to be investing in. We will continue to drop in here because it's close to home but we avoid it and go to other theaters whenever possible instead of this one. read more

Once in the theater, Preston Crossing is a great place to catch a flick. Seats recline and have the option of being heated. The snack tables attached to each chair, are a bit annoying to me, but my daughter loves them. One area that could see major improvements would be concessions. It was painfully slow. You stand in a common feeder line that takes you past candy and bottled drinks. I figured I'd grab a couple bottled drinks and maybe speed up that part of it. Unfortunately, it appeared that I was not the first to have that idea, and the cooler was pretty picked over. If there is no way to speed up the concession area, a few well placed, fully stocked, vending machines might be enough to earn another star. read more

This was my first time to the theater since they improved the seating. (The last time I visited the aisles were narrow and crowded and a customer trying to get by the people in behind us spilled her drink and it splashed on my daughter and I.) I was impressed by the reclining seats and swivel tables to set your drink and snacks on. I was also glad they made less seats per theater so it is not as crowded and loud. It also allows more space for customers in the middle of the aisle to get up and exit the aisle if they need to use the restroom or something. I just will never understand as busy as their concession lines get, they've never had the second concession area open on any of my visits. read more

We have been to a few movies since they changed the format with the new theater seating and from what I've seen it's been a disaster. The first time we went we bought two seats. One didn't work at all and the heated seat in the other did not work. I had to go find an usher and he admitted they were having a lot of problems with the seats. He did manage to get it fixed for us, but it did involve a trip back to the ticket counter for resolution. The second time, we selected seats near the front of the theater and when we went to our seats we found they were in the back row. Again, another trip to the ticket counter to choose new seats. While I was waiting a line queued up behind me with the same issue. Now, our third trip (last night). I joined the Movie Club and selected my seats (two) for White Christmas. I went to the ticket desk and showed them my confirmation number and received my tickets. Row F6 and F7. Then, we went to the concession stand for popcorn. No problems there, but then we went to the other concession stand for a hot pretzel. There were two young ladies working that stand and nobody was in line. I stood there for almost 5 minutes and they never acknowledged me. They both just stood over the grill watching a hamburger cook. We finally just walked away, no multi-tasking happening here. This is where it gets good. We went to our seats in the proper theater and someone was already sitting in one of our seats. My wife said "excuse me, I think this is our seat" and the guy produced his ticket with the exact same seat number, same theater. Back to the ticket desk. The manager at the desk told me "this is impossible". I was about to drag her into the theater to see for herself when someone said they had at the last minute changed theaters for the showing and had already sold some tickets, so they basically double-sold seats. They worked it out but it's ridiculous to have to go to the ticket counter each time to fix seat issues. I'm not finished. Half-way through the movie my wife lowered the foot of her chair to remove her jacket and the seat never worked again. Another one broken. This theater needs to get a handle on the seat issue and possibly just do away with the reserved seating as this is just not working. read more

Cinemark on Preston is the theatre that you choose because the time works best for your group, not because it's your first choice of a movie theater. I was in with a group today to see Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and the room was so hot. The lobby was cool, but it did smell like burnt fried food. The actual theatre was stuffy and warm. The staff were friendly but that's about the only good thing I can say about our experience today. read more

This place has gone very down hill over the years. We went to see Toy Story 4 last night. I've never seen a more dirty movie theater. There was food, popcorn, and slushees all over the floor in the lobby. I imagine it's a little more difficult to keep up with during the summer months, but I have never seen anything like it. There was nobody to collect tickets. The bathrooms had no soap or paper towels. The floor was cracked and doors were broken. The garbage was overflowing all over the floor with diapers. It was in the same condition two and half hours later when we left. The bathroom had clearly not been replenished and the same trash covered the floor. The only reason I'm giving it two stars is because the seats recliner and were heated. Otherwise the theater is a total dump. We won't be returning. read more

Update: For some reason Yelp is saying I am too far from the location even though I'm sitting in the theater so I can't leave a tip. My tip would be: Theaters are not always clean. They decided not to clean cinema #14 today. Yay! This is the closest movie theater to me so by default this is normally where I end up. Even though this theater is newer than Tinseltown it's not anywhere close to being as nice. Cinemark on Preston tends to have a smell like sewage or like there is water damage. I am sitting in the theater right now and it feels clammy (which could be from the rain). They need to put money into making repairs or this place might run down sooner rather than later. Preston Crossing has something to offer for everyone. Whether it be in the concession stands or the Bar and Grill, they can make anyone happy. The service is better than one would expect with all the teenage employees and the management involvement is always seen. You can see a "team" attitude in the building. There is also notice to some change in the building, like the menu boards, merchandise to be bought, various promotions, etc... It can be seen that Cinemark is taking some pride in this location. Always a good time here. Will definitely recommend to others! read more

I wish I could give a zero rating as this place clearly deserves one. I took my kids to see a movie and was told all seating was reserve only...wtf? So now you can't sit where ever you want with out a seat reservation? Its bad enough that ticket and concessions are so damned high but now reserved seating only???
