Time to give this spot an updated and honest review !…read more So I had called one night back in March to see if they were open because I read reviews about how some people came and it was closed with no notice. Well I called at 7pm and they said yes but when I pulled up at 7:30 it wasn't open. I was pissed and swore never to come back. But then my hookah craving started to grow and I decided to give it a try. I am glad I did because I love this place. It's convenient for me and the hookah is great! It's hard to find good hookah especially in PSL where it doesn't seem to be a thing. The bartender is so sweet and always pleasant to me when I come and the owner is also good vibes! I came on a Thursday one night and the bartender Informed it was gay night and there was gonna be a drag show. Well- I was ecstatic. It wasn't a crazy long or extravagant show but the entertainers were amazing and since then I have been going every other Thursday when they perform. They also have a pool table so that's cool if it isn't packed which it was 2 times I went which was on a Friday and Saturday after 9pm. The prices are also great! They don't have name brand liquor but they do have a great selection of beer including white claw.

Beer & Wine I…read morehappened upon Vine & Barely as a result of popping into an adjoining business and having the luck of parking in front of V&B. As it was a Friday night, they had some live music which caught my attention, so I popped in to have a look. As the name implies, they serve Wine and Craft beers, I'm not much of a beer guy, so most of my review will be about the wine side of things. I grabbed a seat at the smallish bar and ha look at the offerings - the wine selection was definitely not the usual suspects (a pet peeve) and after a few minutes I was sort of not sure of what I wanted. The young lady working the bar stepped in and asked me what I like- I explained my usual taste profile - medto heavy body and on the spicier side of things and she recommended a Pinot Noir, which would I not have normally thought of - she merely said "you have to try this". She was right on the money with that recommendation. The wine was fabulous and the music was going on so I sat back and had a look around: cozy place with a good number of tables scattered around - I would think this is more of a date place or a night out with good friends. Definitely not a beer and shot vibe here. The beer side of the house is definitely a decent choice as well - if you like beer. They have 20-some beers available on tap or canned. Like the wine, they can walk you into a perfect choice if you can describe what you like. A couple came up to where I was sitting and ordered a charcuterie board, so I had a look at the small sampling of nosh items. I was considering the same charcuterie board but it turned out to be larger than expected when they finished making it for the folks that ordered it so I went for a smaller bite. The food offerings are all centered on meats / cheeses / pretzels and some desserts. They do not have full on entrees- so plan accordingly. All in all, a great spot- I have been living here for 3.5 years and yet, this place had escaped my attention. Not anymore! Definitely will put it into the rotation. Parking lot available

We were celebrating a special occasion so splurged during our meal and generally enjoyed ourselves…read morehere. This was our first visit and plan to return. I'd call it a hidden gem because you kind of have to know about it since it is located in a gated community, a brand new one at that. They are building all over the place around it, and it looks like many of the units are still empty. Blu Ocean Grille is located inside the clubhouse and right next to the pool area. According to the website, reservations are necessary. However, it took a while for me to make them because the online software kept saying I was too early to make them. I called and left a message twice but never received any return call. We almost considered not going, and we were not asked about our reservations (that I was finally able to make online). We arrived when they opened at noon (on a weekday), and other than one other table that arrived soon after us, we were the only ones there until we left a little over an hour later. Still, this place wasn't full, so I'm not sure about the hype concerning the need for reservations. There was only 1 server, who was very friendly and helpful but seemed overly busy. It looked as if a manager might have wandered in and out briefly. The kitchen is open, so there was a bit of noise coming from there. This place is not very large. The food was very good. We both enjoyed the soup. I had the Southwestern veggie, which was the soup of the day. It was very spicy, but I was able to tone it down with some sour cream. We shared the Margarita flatbread. It was very good. The tomatoes were extra delicious. My date had the lobster and shrimp bisque and loved it. He also had the strip steak, which he ordered medium well, but it wasn't, more like medium rare. He had the brussel sprouts and potatoes as sides and really liked them. I had the Baja cod tacos, blackened, and I would definitely get them again but ask for the sauce to be on the side instead of drizzled everywhere but on the actual tacos. It was difficult to scoop it up and get it on my tacos. I also had a side of potatoes, and they were wonderful, thin layers with generous amounts of cheese. I took most of them home (we had lots of leftovers) and they reheated really well. We tried two desserts: a flourless chocolate cake and a carrot cake. The desserts were the only dishes we weren't impressed with. The chocolate cake was ho-hum, basically tasted like fudge. The carrot cake was 80% raisins and other dried fruit.
