What. A. Gem. You must come here. You will love it. You…read morewill be grateful for that food. I am from Texas and my husband's from Kansas. Barbecue is in our bones. This place is going to be the best roadside stop you make. We came here on our drive to SC from Florida and it was so perfect. The staff is so sweet, you feel like you walked into their home. The portions are HUGE, so a good sharing option. We did two plates, one with BBQ chicken and green beans and Mac and cheese as the sides. The other was the ribs with collard greens (best ever) and sweet potatoes (I mean. Seriously). Enjoy the ambiance, the amazing service and please get the green beans. I mean just so good.

Hands down best food in Waynesboro!…read more Amazing meats, perfect veggies, tons of options, and all for rock bottom prices. I'd give 6 stars if I could. I have had a few of their meats and my favorites are the ribs and the porkchops. They really know how to handle pork. As for sides, any vegetable is a winning pick and the mac and cheese is a perfect pairing with any fried food. The service is fast and accurate and their system for running through the long lines works amazing. The restaurant is a bit dated but it Taylor's has been an institution for forever so that's a good sign. This is a perfect quick lunch spot or a quick family dinner spot. Seating is limited but tables rotate pretty quick. If you are wanting a place to sit and chit chat for an hour, I'd suggest taking the food to go.

I'm picky about BBQ, as are most southerners, because everyone has the BBQ they grew up with to set…read morethe standard and that varies tremendously geographically! But South Carolina has the best BBQ of all the southern states when you can find the right stuff. BBQ Barn is the right stuff. They've got pulled pork with quality sauces, hash similar to what I make myself (therefore excellent), delicious southern sides, sweet (and unsweet) tea, various other meats (their burnt ends are yum!) and some desserts that look great but I haven't tried yet. They also aren't a buffet style restaurant which is a great thing in my opinion. They have a good amount of seating but I don't think they'll fit lots of large groups so keep that in mind. They do have a drive thru and you can order food to go. Unfortunately, they are also like other good BBQ places in their limited hours; they are only open Wednesday-Saturday each week so they can't be Sunday dinner or Monday emergency dinner unless you plan well ahead. The staff are nice and the restaurant is always clean enough. When we aren't making our own barbecue, we are probably getting barbecue from BBQ Barn (or the only other good bbq spot in the CSRA).

My first two visits were only 24 hours apart because it was so good. This time I experienced the same delicious food and quick service. I am impressed by the quality of the food (so fresh) and how kind everyone is here. I like to ask what they recommend, because the desserts change and the cashier was sweet and indulged my questions. I also can't speak highly enough if the sauces. I am a big fan of the spicy georgia red bbq sauce. The gold is also great, just a mustard flavor. I'm tempted to buy a bottle the next time I visit. My recommendation - Come visit on a warm day. Order a platter of food (2 meats will give you plenty of leftovers) and a slice of cake. Sit at the outside tables and enjoy. There are fans outside if it's too warm.

Throughout the meal we learned it used to be owned by her parents, but she has taken over. Her mom still cooks some of the food, including the phenomenal mac and cheese. The owner was tremendously kind and helpful! We had never had Brunswick stew so she brought us each a sample, and im so glad she did, I ended up ordering a side because the flavor was so rich, without feeling heavy. Big fan! The prices were almost too cheap. For the quality, she could absolutely charge more even in this remote area. We were 5 adults, all ordered full meals and a drink, and it was less than $100 even with a 20% tip. I ordered the fantastic Brunswick stew, mom's mac and cheese (which, in the best way possible, makes you feel like you're heart may stop working at any moment but it's worth every bite), and the bbq sandwich. The sandwich was a hefty portion, I couldn't finish it all! Also ordered an unsweet tea, but tried the sweet tea too. Wow! They are not kidding on the sweetness level. If you're looking for some serious homestyle southern sweet tea, look no further. If youre not used to real sweet tea, I strongly suggest doing half and half. One of my dining partners ordered the oxtail! Wow wow wow! Please try this if you come in. So tender. It was perfect. The only reason I gave it 4 stars, and I really went back and forth between 4 and 5, because this didn't bother me too much, is just that the dining area looks run down. I wouldn't say it's not clean - we ate inside at 2 tables, and no one had any cleanliness complaints, it just looks like it could be not clean, based on the age and wear and tear. Not any reason, at all, to not visit. And if the sitting area bothers you, order it to go!

We enjoyed the wings, they were cooked to perfection, great flavor, and good skin. Same with the chicken - also juicy. Pork was tender and tasted great with the spicy bbq. We opted to sit at the bar, and both got an old fashion. Bartenders were nice and attentive as well. They had live music outside and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves.
