The owner seems really nice, but is rigid and impossible with returns.I've had two rigid and disappointing experiences trying to return items. Last year when I put on a non-descript suede coat without even showing any type of brand, I looked at the tag that I thought was $170. My husband paid for it and failed to check the receipt. When his credit card bounced at a fine dining establishment, we discovered that the charge was $1700. This was far beyond what we could afford. The next day, we immediately took the coat back and the owner, Patti. refused to display any willingness to return any money for the big mistake. Since we live out of the area, it took a year for our return the credit. Today took the cake. In January, I went over the credit and purchased a jacket. Today, I attempted to return the jacket who's tags had been removed and clearly had never been worn. I also had the receipt. When I brought it back to Patti, she refused to return due the tags being removed. I was shocked and will NEVER go to that boutique again.

I was so excited and ran across the street to get a closer look. As soon as I went inside there was a wall of bedazzled jackets featuring different Formula 1 teams. My mom is a big fan of F1 and I excitedly took a picture so she could see (of course with the intent of potentially buying it as a kitschy souvenir). As soon as I pulled out my phone, the woman behind the counter judgmentally told me "we don't do that" referring to me taking a picture. Of course I quickly put my phone away and explained that it was because I thought the jackets were pretty. (Which was, to be honest, a fib-- I simply had too much heart to tell her that upon closer inspection her bedazzled denim looked like it belonged on a truckers wife in a strip club and not on Ocean Ave.) I continued walking around the store looking at the other clothes as the woman kept uncomfortably staring at me. After a minute she raised her brow and said "it seems like you came with a purpose" as if I was in the store to steal her clothes or designs. It was very rude and totally inappropriate. She totally Pretty Woman-ed me! Long story short if you are looking for a one of a kind jacket, skip this place. You could probably find something of similar value on Etsy instead. And to the owner of this place, I have a piece of advice--Let's leave bedazzled denim jackets and bitchy retail workers back in the 80's where they belong! ‍

The women (I hope wasn't the owner!) seemed so annoyed that I wanted to try on a couple of items before I made my purchases. When I asked for a small in one of the cashmere sweaters she had the NERVE to ask me if "I knew this sweater was $180.00?" I said yes and??? I found several beautiful items which I set on the counter to purchase.... this rude women then proceeds to belittle me again and remind me that the return policy isn't very forgiving and was I sure I wanted to purchase the items? Are you kidding me? I was only spending $900 and that was just my first stop of the day. Too bad for you moving forward! I would come back the next time I am in Carmel but I choose to stay away from uppity nasty boutique's that aren't really "ALL THAT". I am quite sure that I deserved a little more respect and will advise all of my fellow front line working nurse managers to stay far away from this store as apparently they think treating customers with disrespect is acceptable.
