I have never written a review of a store but my experience was so bad I felt I had to share!…read more I saw a cool looking jacket from across the street as me and my family were walking around Carmel. I was so excited and ran across the street to get a closer look. As soon as I went inside there was a wall of bedazzled jackets featuring different Formula 1 teams. My mom is a big fan of F1 and I excitedly took a picture so she could see (of course with the intent of potentially buying it as a kitschy souvenir). As soon as I pulled out my phone, the woman behind the counter judgmentally told me "we don't do that" referring to me taking a picture. Of course I quickly put my phone away and explained that it was because I thought the jackets were pretty. (Which was, to be honest, a fib-- I simply had too much heart to tell her that upon closer inspection her bedazzled denim looked like it belonged on a truckers wife in a strip club and not on Ocean Ave.) I continued walking around the store looking at the other clothes as the woman kept uncomfortably staring at me. After a minute she raised her brow and said "it seems like you came with a purpose" as if I was in the store to steal her clothes or designs. It was very rude and totally inappropriate. She totally Pretty Woman-ed me! Long story short if you are looking for a one of a kind jacket, skip this place. You could probably find something of similar value on Etsy instead. And to the owner of this place, I have a piece of advice--Let's leave bedazzled denim jackets and bitchy retail workers back in the 80's where they belong! ‍

When I asked for a small in one of the cashmere sweaters she had the NERVE to ask me if "I knew this sweater was $180.00?" I said yes and??? I found several beautiful items which I set on the counter to purchase.... this rude women then proceeds to belittle me again and remind me that the return policy isn't very forgiving and was I sure I wanted to purchase the items? Are you kidding me? I was only spending $900 and that was just my first stop of the day. Too bad for you moving forward! I would come back the next time I am in Carmel but I choose to stay away from uppity nasty boutique's that aren't really "ALL THAT". I am quite sure that I deserved a little more respect and will advise all of my fellow front line working nurse managers to stay far away from this store as apparently they think treating customers with disrespect is acceptable. I will take my business elsewhere and spread the word about my experience.

The shops have started to reopen after months of quarantine. When I stepped into Bhody, I saw people had their faces covered with masks, and items were neatly displayed in the store. The Bhody manager and other associates work extra hard to provide a safe and comfortable environment for customers. We are strangers, yet I felt very welcomed and safe during my stay. Our respectful social distance didn't prevent our warm engaging conversation. The staff shared so many interesting things with me. I quickly glanced around the store and immediately noticed a white shirt I couldn't resist to have for this summer. I love it so much and I knew I will get it for myself. I kindly requested the staff to make sure the shirt is safe for me to try on. They are so kind and professional, they told me that every day they use high technology to scan, clean and iron each single item in their store. I tried the shirt and it's such a classic fit. I love the elegant and simple design. The fabric is soft and organic. This white shirt I will cherish forever, and remember that it made me smile in such an unusual year of 2020.
