I recommend shopping here if you are interested in quality merchandise and unique items. Many of the items are hand made and sometimes the artist or seamstress is present. The handmade children's clothing is particularly lovely and it is hard to walk away from the jewelry without making a purchase. You will also see interesting stationery and some tourist items. Parking is ample and easy, they do practice Covid safety, there is sometimes a sleepy dog present in the shop. read more

I absolutely love this quaint little store by the beach. They have plenty of lovely items to buy as gifts for family and friends. I bought these earrings which are my favorite but I just lost one pair!!): Its so easy losing earrings while taking off your mask so I'm going to visit soon for another one of their cute earrings. I also purchased a fun reversible mask with 2 designs on it. I would highly recommend you stop by this store when in the area. I love special finds like this boutique arts and clothing store as it always results in unexpected discoveries. After stumbling upon the store on a visit to PG a year or two ago, my wife and I make sure to swing by every so often to see what's new. Aurelia's Boutique moved into the spot formerly occupied by Tides (which has relocated to 216 Forest Avenue). I have always found shopping at Tides to be a serene experience -- like a walk along the beach. It is hard to put my finger on it, but Aurelia's was not a relaxing shopping experience for me. First, the shop seemed to be jam-packed with merchandise. Too much to look at. I could not find an overall theme other than "busyness." There also seemed to be a "store within a store" because once I got to the back of the shop, there was a second woman who apparently was selling her own art items. A little confusing. Both women were a bit on the chatty side, which I realize is what some shoppers want. However, I was just browsing and did not particularly need to be directed to different items. I did purchase a few "touristy" magnets along with a few greeting cards. Reasonable prices. However, I am not sure if I will ever return. On the plus side for the PG business community, it is great not to have an empty store. However, Aurelia's does not seem to follow the vibe of other boutique shops along Lighthouse and adjacent streets. read more

This review is LONG overdue! We've been visiting Aurelia's store for weeks now and it is always a delight. She and her husband Tony are the warmest, most interesting people. They have amazing stories about their past that can keep us engaged for half an hour or more! So much fun talking & catching up with each other that even after such a short period they are good friends of ours. Now - onto the store! This place caught my eye my first day walking around Pacific Grove. It's located in a really good location, near the laundry, the bookstore, and right downtown. The store is a bit small but don't let that deceive you! The first thing I noticed were the windchimes - Aurelia had set up an entire beautiful display outside. Her cactus gardens were also absolutely amazing. Together the entire outside reminded me of vacations, the beach & joie de vivre in general. It was just so cheerful! Of course, I had to go inside! The variety of items in the store is fantastic - from beautiful clothing, to elegant scarves, amethyst hair clips, swarovski brooches, beautiful paintings, multicolored decorations from angels to hummingbirds, dichroic jewelry, cottage-inspired art & home decor & so much more! I immediately asked if we could put a few items "on hold" before anyone else could snatch them up. I'm so glad I did b/c she generously agreed to store them until we could pick them up and she also said multiple people had asked to buy them afterwards! On to Aurelia herself - what a remarkable woman! She really gives from her heart and her creativity and passion for working with local artists are just a few of her wonderful traits. She never pressures or upsells but she always has great prices - there is truly something for everyone regardless of your budget. In fact, I couldn't believe some of the prices - $20 for a pair of dichroic earrings? $8 for a gorgeous hanging angel that would make a wonderful gift? We were so delighted with the entire decor/style of her store that we wanted her to come and help us with interior decorating! Amazingly, she custom designed (for free - who does that?) a beautiful mobile after we picked our all of the little pieces we wanted to include. She has such vision that we described what we were looking for and then put the entire creation "in her hands" so to speak. Can't wait to see what it looks like! Her husband is also a very warm person with some compelling & fascinating life stories. Luckily he kept my husband entertained while I flitted around buying things in the store! They are a great couple and a delight to visit. Be careful though! You might go in here and see some things you HAVE to have. :D read more

Absolutely love this store! The parking is ample. its easy to get in and out of the parking area. It's by good restaurants. Inside you'll find a sweet Lady willing to share her knowledge and advice if you'd like to listen. They have a chairs and a comfy spot for sitting. The style is comfortable and elegantly eclectic. We had stopped to go to the bookstore next door to Aurelia's but the fun items outside of her shop caught my eye so I went in...what a delight! Terrific array of one of a kind items, unique jewelry handmade by local artisans and so much more. My husband and I ended up buying some jewelry items and really enjoyed the shopping experience. Aurelia's husband was there and the four of us ended up chatting for a long time. We liked the shop and our experience so much that we returned the next day to purchase more gift items. So I'm out here just trying to have a good time HOWEVER "Aurelia's Boutique" ruined my whole experience. Unfortunately this was the first shop i entered during my trip. As i was browsing through the shop the lady who I am assuming owns the store stopped me and my cousin from holding up a child onesie that i wanted to purchase for my niece. She said and i quote, "hey don't touch those we try to keep it clean for the children, everyone knows that but I guess you don't have children." I proceeded to respond that i have a little niece but she cut me off and began to lecture me about how i shouldn't touch the items and i said goodbye and left the store. Do not shop here, this store is scamming its customers. They are removing tags/labels from clothing, sewing on their own label, and charging an outrageous amount. I was just in there and a dress caught my eye because my daughter has it. While looking at the dress, the lady working there told me it was handmade and made of organic cotton. The dress is from Gymboree. I pulled up a photo of my daughter in the dress to double check the detail and without a doubt it's the same dress. The store is charging $52 because "it takes so long to make a dress by hand". I was shocked. I don't remember how much I paid for the dress, but it was significantly less than $52. It's also obvious the dress is machine made. The Gymboree label had been removed and the store's label was in its place. read more

Aurelia's Boutique is an awesome boutique in beautiful downtown Pacific Grove! They have handmade one of a kind clothing and other hand made items. Aurelia made us feel at home when we walked in. She was very proud of the items that she has handpicked to sell. This boutique proudly displays art work from local artists but also from the Central Valley. We introduced Aurelia to my brother in law. He's a wonderful ceramicist and happened to have made several ocean themed sculptures. She is now displaying his art piece in her boutique. If you like being insulted, followed around and being treated like a child this is the store for you. I walked in and sampled some lotion and the woman that was working (I'm assuming the store owner) walked over to me and asked if I needed help squirting the lotion on my hand. I thought this was really odd and I said no, and she responded that sometimes people squirt the lotion everywhere and she has to clean up the mess. That should have been my first indication to walk out. Then I proceeded to browse the store with her watching me the whole time and came to a section of hanging scarves. I touched one to see what the quality was like and she was on me in 2 seconds and told me not to touch the scarves because I had lotion on my hands (I had only put lotion on the back of my hands but regardless...who cares?!!). I walked out completely insulted. How does someone expect to sell things if you cant touch anything? Not to mention I'm a grown woman and dont need help putting lotion on my hands.
